With the release of the freelancer patch the developers accidentally fixed particle skips, but after community feedback from speedrunners the developers added it back into the game.

The other instance I can think of where they patch IN a glitch is in guilty Gear where there was a bug called jump install, where you could essentially "store" jumps when doing normals which then let's you use jumps when usually you're not supposed to, apparently this was initially unintentional but later on they kept it and made it into an official feature in the xrd games because of how important this tech became for certain characters particularly Millia and ESPECIALLY Chipp because some of his best coolest combos required jump installs
They also fixed in Marvel Superheroes Vs Street Fighter Hyper Combo background when you do your Hyper move the background don't move like on the original but when they fixed it the colorful lines be moving
Perfect default for casuals who know nothing. As long as both modes work online then I see no issue. Wonder if it will be standard in 1st party tournaments though?
they should add a different version, like "classic" where all the messed up stuff stays in and "updated" where we dont have all the messed up stuff left in, patched and balanced.
Like how Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will have Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO as an option? The EO version rebalanced the game considerably, like fixing Roll Cancel Invincibility, and adding Special Cancel to Super to P-Groove, along with minor character changes.
With these classic fighting games that have these types of glitches. It's a good thing to do by giving the options of turning them on or off. It works out for everyone.
Cool, I hope this also helps with matchmaking the non-MVC2 games. On Playstation I was able to get a MVC2 match a couple days ago in ~5 minutes but was getting nothing for X-Men vs Street Fighter.
@@RocketZXI was actually able to test this myself and got a Ranked Match in XvS in about 2 minutes. Maybe that’s just people trying stuff on Fridays or people not wanting to match for other games when even MvC2 matchmaking was slow.
The only other glitch they patched in I'm aware of was actually the space dwarf game Deep Rock Galactic, where in the lobby there were barrels you could kick and run into, and they were MASSIVELY broken. You could jump on them and stutter into the stratosphere to basically teleport around the lobby. There's little to no accuracy to them, but they were good old jank. The devs fixed them and the community was OUTRAGED, so they brought the old jank barrels back after like 2 weeks XD
Doing a video on the secret characters of this collection would be pretty interesting. As somebody who is new to these games, I don’t know about them all!
They also fixed Thanos fireball super not showing up when he was in the second or third slot and they did a team super, and they fixed the tilt at the game win screen
In Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for the PS2, each game has a hidden special menu with a bunch of "dip-switchs" to enable or disable those kinds of individual character glitches present in earlier versions of the game. The only problem is you need to found online what each dip-switch does as the game don't tell you.

Imagine if they combined marvel superheroes vs sf and X-Men vs sf in one game
PUT PLAYABLE GIANT BOSSES IN!!!!!
Similar to how KI1 and KI2 arcade classics did for Xbox one for KI 2013?
are you implying that the version without jug glitch and anakaris curse loops was balanced??? if so, youre so wrong it hurts.
Obviously they would then balance the rest of the game in that mode @@thephantompooter5266
Like how Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will have Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO as an option? The EO version rebalanced the game considerably, like fixing Roll Cancel Invincibility, and adding Special Cancel to Super to P-Groove, along with minor character changes.
@thephantompooter5266 Yeah....MvC2 is an unbalanced mess but probably the best unbalanced mess you could ever play.
Justin gonna have to change his ratio tier list again. Capcom get it together.
Who cares about that sod?

With these classic fighting games that have these types of glitches. It's a good thing to do by giving the options of turning them on or off. It works out for everyone.
Cool, I hope this also helps with matchmaking the non-MVC2 games. On Playstation I was able to get a MVC2 match a couple days ago in ~5 minutes but was getting nothing for X-Men vs Street Fighter.
I think its just people dont play those games online, I saw nothing but MVC and MVC2 since day 1 everytime I look
@@RocketZXI was actually able to test this myself and got a Ranked Match in XvS in about 2 minutes.
Maybe that’s just people trying stuff on Fridays or people not wanting to match for other games when even MvC2 matchmaking was slow.
People don't want to get infinited
now its at about 95% out of of 100%
The only other glitch they patched in I'm aware of was actually the space dwarf game Deep Rock Galactic, where in the lobby there were barrels you could kick and run into, and they were MASSIVELY broken.
As somebody who is new to these games, I don’t know about them all!
i get the game next week i cant wait im happy they acknowlege matchmaking
They also fixed Thanos fireball super not showing up when he was in the second or third slot and they did a team super, and they fixed the tilt at the game win screen
In Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for the PS2, each game has a hidden special menu with a bunch of "dip-switchs" to enable or disable those kinds of individual character glitches present in earlier versions of the game. The only problem is you need to found online what each dip-switch does as the game don't tell you.
