Thanks Tim, this is a great video showing the capabilities of the Land Leveler! Thank you for the partnership and showing our products to your subscribers. We are very blessed for all the support and wonderful customers that we have that share our products with others!
I'd be interested in demoing one of these if possible! Repairing/reclaiming rock is basically all I do with my sub compact and my grading scraper. I have many videos of doing it.
This attachment is exactly what I need. I have a gravel driveway and parking lot that always needs to be leveled. I think the land leveler and box blade would make a great combination to level my yard. I ordered one yesterday.
I like the forward mounted implements. Agree with your analogy of limestone roadway. The road is dusty when dry and slimy when wet and plant life enjoys the borders.
That thing works Great! I love that you can just quick attach it onto the loader and not have to go through the three point hitch process for a land plane or box blade. Nice find Tim!
Thanks for the real-world demonstrations, Tim. I've avoided several specialty implements due to low utilization, not the lack of need. This multi-task tool looks like the Goldilocks tool I've been looking for. Tim and HH for the win!
Awesome video Tim, I really love that new product / attachment. 100% SOLD. So much so, I Ordered 2 of them this morning, one for my Boomer 8N and 1 in JDQA for use with all my compact Deere machines. Also been meaning to get a few other things from HH, like the nut and bolt bin, and a dozen suitcase weights etc etc. Love that you ship it all via Fastenal for only $185.00 . Thanks again for TTWT discount , it saved me over 300 bucks with my HH order this morning.
@@TractorTimewithTim You’re welcome! This going to be a big help fine tuning all this pond dirt I am trying to disperse so I can’t plant grass this spring. I would likely order another one if they ever bring out say a 72” or larger version. 8N Boomer is doing great. Mostly just been hauling my IBC totes around with it watering trees and shrubs so far.
Thanks for your order, we are so grateful for our partnership with Fastenal to help save on shipping costs! As well as our partnership with TTWT to show off our products!
@TractorTimewithTim We bought a property with a dirt driveway. Would you remove dirt first before adding gravel? If so how much should I remove and how thick should the gravel be?
My uncle built some similar and we call it a dirt dog. Its great to leveling graval and finish grading or stirring up dirt before spreading grass seed in your yard.
Great content. I love this attachment. If I had not seen you use it,I would not given it any merit. Now its on my wish list. By the way,Rex gets extra credit for providing content opportunities.
Awesome product, thanks! I came, I saw, I purchased one! Looks like more Tractor time for me in the near future. I know of at least three projects this year that I can use with this immediately, so looking forward to getting it.
I have been looking for something like this for a while. Your video sold me on my latest purchase LOL yep I just bought one. Thank You again for your time and effort! Stay Safe!
I was looking at these a few days ago that go on a skid steer and was thinking they would be really useful on a tractor loader. I sure wish I had seen this video a few days ago😂 I WILL be ordering one, I think this would be perfect for me!!
The ones I saw had a spot on the top where the angled braces come down they had like mounts on the bottom of the angles so you could put it on your trailer and put your bucket on it to save space.
That’s one slick outfit. I think it’s a must have attachment. Tim, you had mentioned your driveway was pretty firm, wondering if it has the ability to cut through mine that’s hard packed and hasn’t been maintained in a few years.
Like how flexible it is in the odd areas like the edge and corners of your driveway. Was equally impressed with the ability to use in gravel and dirt. I think I prefer my box blade with ripper shanks to really turn over my gravel drive but do like how quickly this can create a smooth driveway surface without a dozen passes which I invariably do with my box blade.
Damn Tim, you did it again! Show me something I need. I grade my driveway and another gravel road at least once a year. I have used my Heavy Hitch tooth bar on my bucket to loosen areas, but always afraid of using too much down pressure. And with my new yard needing grading, this looks like a win win. I hope Heavy Hitch is still using Fastenal as a shipper.
I like it, that’s my job for today rebuilding the driveway from the winter use and damage. I have to use my box blade though. The only concern about the leveler is the teeth. If you use it a lot it looks like you will be r-ring teeth after a while. It looks like it would be worth it though. Great video Tim I’m glad there’s another option and I will be looking into it
That is a handy unit for several uses, surfaces and applications as you demonstrated. I assume for some finish pases, one could put the loader in float while going in reverse. Blessings.
Where was that when I was trying to decide box blade or land plane another great advantage I see is if you have a backhoe you can grade dirt or your driveway and not have to take it off
My driveway is a pain because not only all downhill but at an angle. Last year we got a hold of a guy who owns a dump truck and some of it he drove and unloaded a lot of it and then behind the house he dumped it in a huge pile. That area has different angles and i never ever messed with gravel and a tractor. It was a learning experience. Some of it turned out not bad but some not so good. That bucket contraption is pretty cool as others have said.
I just took the ruts out of my driveway with a 3 point box blade and the whole time I was thinking there has to be a better way than this. Thanks for the video. Putting my order in.
I did the same thing with my grapple last fall. Tilt it forward and back down the driveway only about 8 things digging in but worked good backing up. Just worried about messing up the grapple doing it. Seemed unhurt but still wasn't designed for that but use what you got.
What's the added expense of the land harrow for a smoother surface? Needing to buy two attachments for what a land plane can do alone. Granted the land plane would need the scarifiers down and then raised for the smooth surface and would take several more passes. It really breaks up the hard pan being able to use different tilt angle and using down force that a 3-point can't provide. Most customers would want a smooth surface though instead of the ruts as a final product. It's still really nice and does a wonderful job breaking things up. Maybe they will figure out a way to retract the blades that break it up for a final grade option to make it smooth.
Looks like a very good,, multi-use attachment. The price is right. Plus you don't have to crane your neck around to look behind the tractor as much as the towed ground engaging tools.
I definitely need something like this, I have a 1000 yard driveway that I use a harrow on now, but I've never even tried to remove my 1023's bucket and I'm pretty sure it isnt a quick connect.
Very interesting Tim, I’ve seen FEL mounted land planes, but this definitely seems to work very well. As you mentioned, I like that it doesn’t move a lot of material, just loosening and leveling.
Land Plane on the back, and this tool on the front and you are in business. I think just this though wouldn't leave me satisfied. Having the ability to comb out the gravel and humps better at the end of the land plane run would be a great bonus though.
Awesome video! Which this was out before I got a DR power rake several years ago. DR works just more money. Have actually been drawing up much the same except from the chain harrow vs spikes perspective. Spikes would be awesome 1 or 2 passes then pure leveling function for my tasks though. However, the loader float function could less aggressive too. HH products rock!
Yep looks like a great tool for many reasons, how about redoing an existing area of lawn that u want to bust up the existing sod layer, level soil, and reseed maybe after the harrow goes over it. Id like to see a video like that, like in place of an expensive harley rake.
Interesting attachment. The lines would drive me crazy. It would be great if the scarifiers could retract and have a more of a land plane effect with a couple of angled cross bars on the frame. This definitely solves the end and beginning issues which accompany the use of box blades and land planes.
I wish I could justify one of these. I need a leveler, but only a few times a year. It would be better if 3 or 4 people bought one together and shared it, but that is hard to do.
Also would be great for breaking up ice on the gravel in the winter. And big bonus is wife will use this. The land plane gets tricky to keep from bogging down at times.
Seems like a game changer especially as a regular maintenance tool. It didn't look like those teeth were replaceable and that the front would wear down sooner than the other three rows. Killer on the dirt. Did you try it in float?
Hey Christy and Tim, long time subscriber. Love the channel you have and great job. I’ve been meaning to write about how impressed I am with a few of my simple attachments, like the smudge bar. Good video Tim. I'm sure it has it's place, but not sure this is better than the land plane I already have (at the same price) as I can drop the ripper shanks and get down deep to pull up the compressed gravel if needed, and also leave a smooth surface, put a crown, and even go faster.
I'd like the chance to test one before buying. Given what was seen in the video I believe this maybe a better answer for my situation then the land plane I currently have.
That's really interesting attachment. I got a box blade and at the time I really flip flopped between land plane and it. I feel like I should have gotten the landplane.
I have both and depends on the material. My road base mix, is not crushed limestone, and box blade allows me to shape the drive and land plane maintains the crown. I also have a 8 ft rear blade I use to carve ditches and move material from side to side.
Would be interesting to see a variation of this land leveler that adds adjustable ripper shanks to allow for deeper ripping. Similar to how they are optional on box blades and landscape planes.
Well, old boy, I think you have sold me on that unit. I think what it needs is a flopper plate like a rototiller has to smooth it out, one that could be let down to complete the task 🤔 and left up to do the heavy work.
Thank you for demo, interesting gravel driveway tool. I am curious if first going up and down driveway using the box blade with tines, then going back up and down driveway using the land leveler would be faster or a advantage and less work, maybe it becomes more work. Enjoyed the cats roaming and playing too!
roads are fun ... a little rock on the top is ok/good, but its slippery and slides to the edges. Rock is cheaper than crunsh and run / dusty but the dusty stuff packs and makes a great base. Its a balancing act. Thanks for showing alternative tools ... no to convince the boss/wife
Small tractors' loaders are not bulldozers, and I always worry when people try to start pushing their buckets hard they may bend/break the loaders. Tim's 1025R may have the a useful "safety" feature that it loses traction and spins the tires before it over stresses the loader. The control it does offer is surely nicer than using a three-point hitch tool, and the fact the loader's hydraulics does let you put more weight on the front tool will help give such a relatively lightweight tool the bite a similar weight tool would not have on the 3 point. But this is definitely a tool that should be used only with a good understanding of just how much force you are trying to make your loader exert.
Hey Tim. Long time follower. Great tool and Demo. I have a couple of small fields with weeds starting to come up. Do you think it would do the job on disking up these weeds instead of mowing. Just like your opinion. Thanks for all the time you devote to these videos. Great job
No one ever puts enough crown in their roadways in my opinion…. I built mine 15 plus years ago and have NEVER had to do any Maintence of any kind to it. It has at least a foot of crown in it and was set up like concrete, I also let the grass grow into the edges to hold the gravel so it doesn’t push out and just mow the edges. Built right driveways require little to no on going Maintence because they receive so little actual traffic. Handle your water correctly and most issues will disappear. Cool tool for the weekend warrior though…. I really enjoyed the deere repair series on the auction tractor. 🔥🔥👍👍
Have to look into this attachment. To smooth out the grooves I have a section of chain link fence with pipe for even pull and weights on boards across it. Rolls up and lifts with 3 points hitch. Would the float function have any application?
Tim howdy from out in Macon mo loved the video and man I could definitely use that implement I like it being out in front always enjoy watching your videos stay safe and God bless you and your family
I feel like those points... or teeth? either way they will wear out very fast in rock/ gravel. Maybe a good home owner type tool but not so much commercial or farm grade. I could be wrong, it would be neat to find out the longevity of the tool.
Hello Tim and Christy. I was wondering, if you backed up with the harrow attached to the land leveller, you could smooth the driveway after levelling it. As I watched you work, I was thinking the leveller would be great for turning my compost piles. It might also be useful for mixing different types of soil or material. If weights were added to the leveller, the teeth might gouge driveway ice, to provide better traction. I am trying to convince my "finance committee" that this would be a useful tool.
@TractorTimewithTim I could only find ones with skidsteer mounts. I would have to adapt to Deere. The ones I found were twice the price and half the size. I was planning on building one.
@@JoshBeardsI totally mis-read and misunderstood your comment. I’m sorry. Yes, to my knowledge, this is the first jdqa small tractor version like this.
I think since you seem to like it more going backwards, maybe it would be better as a 3-point implement. Maybe with a tilt cylinder to adjust aggressiveness.

Wow I really like it!! I need my land leveled with one of those
Looks like it works good. Looks like it could use a weight bar so it does all the downward work.
Yea, a weight bar might be interesting. Would want it near the rear so that you can still use it sorta like a bucket to dig.

I do the same with my ratchet rake.
That's really interesting attachment. I got a box blade and at the time I really flip flopped between land plane and it. I feel like I should have gotten the landplane.
This might be good complement to box blade. Use the bb for aggressive work, and this for the maintenance.

If it had a straight edge on the leading edge or rear edge so you can tilt or tip to use it to smooth out the groves would be great to finish with
That is a good suggestion, I will pass it onto Terry. Or maybe there is a way to add a replaceable/removable blade like your plow blades?
Hello Tim and Christy. I was wondering, if you backed up with the harrow attached to the land leveller, you could smooth the driveway after levelling it.
As I watched you work, I was thinking the leveller would be great for turning my compost piles. It might also be useful for mixing different types of soil or material. If weights were added to the leveller, the teeth might gouge driveway ice, to provide better traction.
I am trying to convince my "finance committee" that this would be a useful tool.
ya, I was just wondering about that too. at 18:00, it looks like it would be handy for spreading compost on a lawn or garden.
Looks to be a great implement. I wonder if it would leave less ridges if the teeth were offset for every other row?
Land plane that allows more manipulation is a win
Always enjoy your content!
Finally. One for a Deere that's reasonably priced.
Funny. We’ve had 4 in a row I think with 1025r…at least 3.
I would think an attachment like that is much better than anything on a 3 point hitch. The 3 point hitch bounces leavimg himps and indents.
This tool is neat! I've seen the version for skid steers at some tractor pulls. I do see where you come from on the comparisons to a drag harrow.
Basically a land plane on the front with more controls... Interesting
It’s the same amount of controls, but you could actually add more functions to the rear end adding more controls to the rear than the front.
I think since you seem to like it more going backwards, maybe it would be better as a 3-point implement. Maybe with a tilt cylinder to adjust aggressiveness.
