A metalcore band that used to be a ska punk band collabing with a ska punk band to make some sort of easycore ska fusion (with some electronic elements too) cover of an 80s pop song that was in the soundtrack of a 2000s horror comedy set in the 80s based off of a 90s novel for the soundtrack of a 2020s comic series based on said movie

@@abrahamd2002 hi. For real. Back in the 00s they became more like the sound we know today and in 2009 released an album titled The Pop-Punk-Ska Years. You might be able to find a video essay about it here on UA-cam if it's still up. I'm trying to remember which channel uploaded it. Thanks for asking.

I'm 40, almost 41. RBF has been my favorite band since I was 13-ish. The artistic choices they make, especially when it comes to covers/collabs will never cease to amaze me. Well done.

I don't think Ice Nine Kills has done one single terrible cover, and I'm happy that this cover delivered so well. It's fun, it's gory, and it's everything Ice Nine Kills is. Loved that they got Reel Big Fish to do the horns, which definitely gave this song a ska vibe, loved every inch of it. Both vocalist definitely had a great consistency, especially Spencer's. Thank you so much for this cover, and I hope you had as much fun playing it, as we enjoyed listening to it. Keep up the great work, both of these bands deserve some love! 🤘❤

I was not expecting this in 2024 but I am not complaining.
First concert I went to was Don Henley in 1983 and Kristina and the Waves was the opening band. The next morning I Saw them play again watching LiveAid on MTV in New York City and again that night playing LiveAid in London.
We’ve officially crossed over into the cross-over multiverse.
Folly should take note. This is how you do hardcore/ska fusion. Folly songs always sounded like two separate songs in each song. This just sounds like a crushing ska song, love it.
