"Trips me up ALL the time ..." LOL Me too Your admission, which shows us that you also have difficulty, a mere mortal like the rest of us, is in a lot of ways very encouraging, and keeps me coming back.
I think I'm starting to watch a good amount of your videos, bc as you walked through this, I was saying "I think he'll turn on dynamic zoom", and then "bet it's time for keyframes". It's working, Casey -- these tutorials are really sticking with me. 😊
This is the easiest way to do this! All of the other tutorials I have watched get into this complicated stuff with the Inspector, which I couldn't follow. thanks!
yooo .. anybody else laughed when he let out the little cry🤣😂 at 0:50 secs..??? .. your videos are cool and fun.. plus you took me from zero to Davincci with the tutorials. thanks alot
I wasn't ready for that outro 😆 Thanks for the upload! My goal is to transition a fullscreen video into a small window on the side. I think the dynamic zoom should be able to do that!
Finally, I know how to do this, thanks to you! I appreciate your content, not only for the quality and your teaching skills but also because you make me laugh in the meantime. I love your videos!
An AD campaign asked for any any photo they would automatically insert in the video at several locations making you the hero! Can you do that with Davinci Resolve?
Super tip on right-click keyframe easing! I can't get it working though (on a Mac using a Wacom tablet, trying Command+tap on the red diamond). Ever run into this?
How to animate some irregular shape in video (like I have to explain something with the help of some smooth arrow, circle, rectangular.....etc) plzzzz make one tutorial on this
Real Estate stills. Any way to apply a pan and zoom to like 20 photos, save it as a video, open and rename that video later, then replace the photos with those from another shoot?
Thanks, this is really helpful. If you can, please help me with one question. When I do a transition with key framing, it only allows me to start at the very beginning of the clip and end the transition at the very end. Is there a way to set these starting and ending points elsewhere within a clip?
How can i do a Full YAW/Pitch Animation for a photo?; I have a photo i need to rotate while keeping the background stable? i have it on Video 2 i just want it to fully Rotate In the YAW position for a total for 5 seconds
Casey, I have a question on the preparation of the still image to import. What size should it be, so that once I've zoomed in, the resolution is still correct (I tend to stick with 1080p but I'm sure others would like to know for 4K). I haven't found the answer on the InterWeb but have come across suggestions that DR has a 16K limit for stills, and another that one of the pages (edit page?) will scale an imported image immediately (unless overridden) so negating me importing a larger image deliberately for the Ken Burns zoom. Can you help please ? Thanks, Stuart
Great video @CaseyFaris Can anyone help me with this? How can I just animate car in the picture by keeping background.. like car is just moving over the background.?
is it possible to get rid of catastrophic aliasing on moving images? i see it in your footage. i see it on my footages. and I see it even on rendered video with any kind of selected resize filter algorithm.

So which one are you? The very calm demeanour in your DaVinci resolve tutorial with Kevin S. or this personage saying incineration? Lol
That's useful! thank you

Will this work with the free version of the software?
