@@Shmee150 It's an ugly car that does nothing for anyone Tim. Stuff like this is how channels die. I'm out.
The 12 cilindri coming out before the F80 was the mistake. The most expensive and best performing car is supposed to lead the design language for the other cars in a manufacturer's lineup. The black stripe around the front immediatly reduces what is supposed to make the car special because we know where it came from, a lesser car.
12 Cilindri was a very unnecessary cash grab from Ferrari. Nobody asked for it. If the total emissions regulations was really stringent then they wouldn't have put a V12 in the 12 Cilindri. So that's just an excuse the defend the V6. Ferrari messed up with the V6. And all the people who are defending the V6 like it's the biggest "race winning technology" might also be satisfied by a Tesla because the Model S plaid performance also has amazing stats; not everything is about performance.
I'm not a potential customer of an F80 so it's largely irrelevant, but as per my take in this video; I'm okay with the design and I don't mind the engine (my favourite Shmeemobile has a V6 already), but the number of cars at the price tag is a problem.
@@Shmee150understood you aren’t a potential customer of this car, but you are and have been for many others so surely in your best interest to keep a good relationship
Then what is the F40? You can't hate one design only for being partially boxy and not round and love a fully boxy design just because you have been taught to think it is iconic
The power is great, 1200 hp is very cool. However the engine doesn’t sound like a Ferrari hypercar. The styling isn’t awful, however that front black piece really is polarizing. I have seen some renderings that incorporate it really well and honestly doesn’t look awful. We’ll see how they age.
Ferrari should not be so abstruse with the spec. I think I have seen the redesigns that you're talking about, like the ones that remove the mono brow bar and the carbon black roof and I think those for example look much better.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks I’ve seen those and ya they look great, but I’m talking about actual spec renderings with how the car is presented. The black piece included. Doesn’t look awful with the right body colour if I’m being honest. I just think they killed it with the SP3 and it’s just been downhill in terms of design since
EU regulations and OPF restrictions are why it doesn’t sound good, with a proper exhaust, the car would sound quite good. TT V6s do make great noises when unrestricted.
Cosworth building a V12 for the Valkyrie and T50, along with a V16 for Bugatti plus Nelson building the V12 for the Nilu make all V6 arguments null and void.
The Valkyrie is about 1500kg and that car barely has any creature comforts for a enthusiastic and comfortable drive besides it's unbearable. The Nilu27 isn't road legal. The Tourbillon is around 2000kg with the v16.
@@steven_taylor_Valkyrie is closer to 1400 kg and definitely driveable and a lot more fun than F80. It is one of the most interesting sounding cars ever.
People also said that the Enzo and LaFerrari were ugly, but that didn’t age well of course. Same will apply here, people only hate the F80 because it’s brand new, and they aren’t used to the design yet. But when you see in person or in a different spec, opinions change quickly. Also, the 612 Scag is the ugliest Ferrari; even the Roma, Puro and new 12 Cilindri look worse than the F80 IMO.
Not really true at all. I don’t remember such a large percent of people talking negatively about the Enzo or the LaFerrari; some, but not most. Plus, they had the v12 + RWD to fall back on. This thing is grotesque and doesn’t have the v12 or RWD to fall back on. It isn’t good looking at all. This thing looks terrible. Won’t age well. Hideous.
The value retention of the Senna in the current market says differently. It was not well accepted then, and the resale on them means its still not the car collector's are truly after.
Senna's problem wasn't the design but the same 720S platform, too rough for the road and too expensive to take it out on a race track, besides it was another McLaren filled with issues.
2034 unless theres a clause to let clean fuels exist such as clean alcool based ones or hydrogen if it reliable means to store it, these cars will all be EVs. it will be the true end of an era after 2030 unless that stupid resolution about emissions that is 100% politically biased because theyre not enforcing harsh rules like these upon power grids which theres tons of them using fossil fuel in china, USA and even many parts of europe, the future of sports cars is bleak as they will all be boring.

@@pedro_peyote I wouldn’t go as far to say monstrosity, the looks are very much based on a race car so may not be as pretty as the la Ferrari. But it’s not a bad looking car, sound could be better by far. If it had the sound of the challenge cars that would be much better but I’m betting there is some sort of eu regs on sound and emissions that’s strangling it.
@@pedro_peyoteAgree. Ferrari are too compliant with the EU regs. F80 customers will have to get a aftermarket exhaust system to raise the noise level/they could just ask Ferrari to do it as a special to get round the EU regs crap.
Yep exactly, obviously it might be amazing from driving perspective, but from someone like myself who is very unlikely to own this car ever. Im looking for great look and sound and sadly im disappointed on both fronts, however how car looks might grow on me over time.

Biggest Ferrari halo car failure of all time. Pininfarina design coupled with a V12 for a swan song love letter to the ICE supercar as we know it and it would have won the hearts and all car lovers. This car is one Ferrari halo car too early unfortunately.

I don't understand your point. You're saying the v12 isn't the technology from now but the thing is you can keep the v12 and add every technology you want after so it doesn't make sense. Ferrari just wants to make money and that's why they are preselling, moreover I feel like you're trying to be the devil's advocate for some reason maybe to get a future allocation. Am I wrong ? 🤔
Ferrari doesn't want to add turbos to the v12 as it will ruin the appeal of that engine, adding hybrid system like electric motors will make the car heavier, so that's why the v6 was used. Also, all of their race cars are using the v6 engine, so there's that connection as well.
I just deleted my previous comment and yes you are wrong. Rewatch the video as he answered your question. The V12s are in the GT cars while the V8 and V6 engines are lighter plus their track hypercar 499P already has a V6 as well as F1. He's a VIP client and going up which requires more cars and attending special events.
A smaller engine with as much or even more power... that's tech. On the passionate side, surely a V12 would be the obvious but Ferrari's hypercar has always been where Ferrari would put all of their top tech at the moment on a highly exclusive car. In the 80's it was carbon fibre on the F40, in the 90s it was indeed the V12 Engine on a "road-going F1 car", in the 2000s the top of F1's paddle shift technology on the Enzo and with the LaFerrari it was the hybrid system. Now in 2024, it is the F163 V6 engine seen on not only the 296 but also in the two-time Le Mans winner 499P...
Look at the Revuelto, it has a V12 and gets smoked by the older SF90 and barely outperformed the 296. Ain't no way a Ferrari NA V12 will stand against McLarens' W1😆. And the V6 won Le Mans.
Amazing informative and explenatory video. I totally see the points you're making, and over the past 2 years I've grown quite fond of many V6s. Can't wait to see delivery videos and more coverage of F80s.

People literally said that the LaFerrari and Enzo were ugly when they first came out, people probably said the same with the F40 when that came out. The F80 isn’t ugly, it’s just new, and people need to get used to the design or see it in person.
@@themanofshadows I'm a big Ferrari fan and don't like making negative comments just disappointed with F80 looks at the moment. Maybe it looks better in real life and will grow on me or maybe it won't
"But to fit that (V12) into the F80, would've required a very different car to what's being released" That would be a good thing dude. All they needed to do was NOT release the SP3 until now, and just call it the F80. Maybe slap some electrics in it if they had to. Also, we are interested in your thoughts on the design, not just what Ferrari wants to hear to stay in their good graces lol
In my opinion, if the SP3 was released now as the successor to LaFerrari in the "Big 6" and it only had 840hp with the performance numbers it does, people would absolutely laugh at how far the competition is ahead of that.
As an actual recipient of an F80, let me tell you this. Would I want a V12? Yes, I am disappointed about the V6. In part because it does not impress me in the 296 due to its immense threshold lag - not enough drama compared to the V8's and V12's. But had they debuted the SP3 as the LaF successor, it would have been a no. Way too low on power, and way too low on new tech. Another reason why this V6 powerplant disappoints me, is because while V6 and hybrid is what we see in F1 racing and Le Mans, this drivetrain has ZERO to do with any of it. Merc did something clever by actually using a drivetrain that was lifted from the F1 car. This is just a more powerful version of what is found in the 296. What else I would have liked to see, was a smaller less powerful ICE but more hybrid power. Why? Because one of my gripes with both the 296 and SF90, is that the hybrid is so low on power compared to the ICE, that one does in fact not really feel that much in terms of an EV kick. I'd much rather have it be 50/50 and really get a hard EV kick for torque fill than what I worry will be the same issue with threshold lag in the 296 where nothing happens below 5500 rpm. Try and drive a 296 at 2000 rpm in 2nd gear an punch it. It will barely be able to break the tyres loose. Do the same in a 488, F8 or SF90, and it instantly lights them up. Having owned the Scud, Pista, F8, 488, 458 etc. I cannot recognize the idea that the 296 is more responsive, not in the slightest. I chose to stick with my F8 for this reason, and frankly I get more enjoyment driving a Puro than a 296 because of this boost threshold lag. Time will tell what the F80 will be like, but I'm hesitant.
@@T0NYMANUEL People were also divided about Laferrari. I don't think it looks that good. Its a taste thing it is okay to have different tasts. The F80 looks amazing.

21:10 Since when was F1 using V12 in 2013? I get what you are trying to say but you have to admit that this analogy is very much invented to justify the V6 and simply not true.
Nobody said that F1 was using V12s then, the gearbox that Ferrari integrated into the cars derived from F1 for the Enzo, and the hybrid tech for LaFerrari
@@Shmee150 just be honest mate. U are trying so hard to convince us that the design is good and Ferrari made a good decision with the V6 when deep down U know the people are right and the heat over this is absolutely understandable
As for the comparison, the Senna isn't on the same level as the P1. This F80 is an equivalent hypercar pinnacle car for Ferrari, so the fact that it looks like it does simply isn't acceptable. It's not a track-focused crazy car that people don't understand, it's a V6-equipped street car that looks mediocre. I don't need hindsight to know that this car will be viewed as a regression to the LaFerrari's beautiful appearance.
That v12 is completely new compared to Ferrari's 20 year old or so v12. Ferrari themselves have admitted the v12 doesn't have more performance over their turbocharged v8 or v6 engines and they don't want to add turbos to it to ruin the appeal of a NA v12 engine. Also, the W1 will decimate the F80 if there was a v12 in the latter!
@@steven_taylor_ and yet Aston Martin was able to develop a new V12 for the Vanquish. Ferrari could have easily made a V12 by joining two of the existing V6s from the 296, same engine in the F80 and replace two of those electric motors. If the V6 was good and new enough to produce performance gains then two of them are only going to be an improvement. Instead Ferrari was lazy so they just slightly upgraded the performance of the 296 engine, slapped on a couple of additional e motors and called it a day. Edit: also don't forget that 12 Cilindri just came out recently and that had a V12, if Ferrari were so hell bent on performance they could have gone with a V6 there because it's more "efficient" and yet they didn't. And it's not like the F80 has so much performance gain that it's going to gap the likes of La Ferrari or SF90XX or anything. No. Shedding the V12 for some measly tenths of a second faster is illogical. The least they could have done was develop a new V12 around that V6 engine or just add two more cylinders and make a new V8, but of course that would mean they have to actually innovate and not lazily upgrade the 296 engine because it's more work
re: "There was no sound when the car crossed the finish line..." correct, so despite everyone's obvious dismay (which is understandable) the fact that their latest Hypercar now "sounds" like an EV or rather makes NO SOUND like an EV, is both DELIBERATE and INTENTIONAL. (while they haven't come out and said this yet) what Ferrari are doing with the F80 is using their ADVANCED skills and years of expertise to give you "EV Performance" WITHOUT you have to incur the egregious "EV weight penalty", which is what you normally get when buying something like a Plaid, a Taycan, a Sapphire, or even a Nevera... for those weak in stats and Physics, just be aware the Tesla, the Lucid, the Porsche, and the Rimac all have an "average" weight of 2267kgs/5000lbs. however, this new F80 is rumored to weigh only 1678kgs/3700lbs, so that's a massive 589kg/1300lbs savings. # THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS
I don't understand all the critics on this vehicle. Everyone is stuck in the past. This car is striking. I love it and appreciate what any car company is doing to advance the future. We can't get stuck in a world unwilling to advance.
Part of the Ferrari ethos is to create buzz and controversy. And it works! Everybody is talking about the 12 Cilindri and now the F80. To me, the F80 looks like an XX version of the Daytona SP3. As for pricing, Ferrari keeps following a reverse-supply and demand strategy. They are selling more and more cars each year and they need to raise their prices to keep their exclusivity. No need to make excuses, people will pay. The same has happened with all luxury items lately. Thanks Shmee for bringing us along on your adventures.

The looks can be forgiven, if the car is exciting. Having a V6 engine on this car is what really kills it for me. When you have a car that looks bad, and on top of that it also sounds bad. It's hard to like it no matter how much Ferrari tries to convince us that this engine is special.
I have a theory that people aren't really reacting negatively to the styling of the F80 as much as they are reacting negatively to the shock of such a radical departure to what they've gotten used to. You make a good point that when the LaFerrari first came out people hated on that car's styling - calling it derivative or insectoid-like or just straight up ugly. I remember all of that. It's kinda a sad statement that people, in pursuit of appearing distinguished and tasteful to others, have become so distrustful and skeptical of the new.
I disagree because it's just a lie that Ferrari's hypercar is supposed to show pinnacle of motorsports and stuff because Laferrari had a V12 not a V8 which was used at that time in Motorsports. Also if Ferrari were truly serious about this they should have just an F1 drived engine like AMG one or how about the next gen a 2026 PU related 100% bio fuel hypercar?
@@Atrail_Mckinley4786 And where did I say anything wrong? You people just like to bash Ferrari for just about anything, how many of you praised Ferrari for keeping the v12 pure in the 12Cilindri when others are using a hybrid or turbocharged v12 which is either heavy or doesn't produce the sound of a naturally aspirated engine.
It's crazy to think that if they sell all 799 of the F80, which they will, at a starting price of 3.6 million euros, that means that just on that car, Ferrari will rake in almost 2,9 billion euros! That's absolutely insane!
If the F80 had a 3.3L V6(94mm×79.25mm/100mm bore spacing), the "little V12" would be half of a 6.6L V12 with 990PS and 330PS from hybrid assist equaling 1320PS(1320ft =1/4 of a mile) as it's a heavier car than the McLaren W1 and a 9500rpm red line same as the V12...... One of assets the F80 has is a 285 on 10.5's(?) and a 345 on 13's(?), not only wider than th W1's but a 60mm width stagger vs a 70mm width stagger, but not having a 35% profile 285 front tyre means less of an ability to maintain traction around corners that are less than smooth, less gradual release of traction around corners, do not alow for stiffer suspension and will be greasy sooner from not having as much mass for the heat to distribute it's self through and surface area to dissipate the heat. But to compensate for some of these issues it has AWD, and for a street car a aesthetic(smaller front quarter pannel arches) and outward visibility(could the cockpit be 15mm higher) is important.
23:00 schmee, did Ferrari make you say this🤣 in all honesty when I first saw the F50 in person I thought it was ugly but now I quite like it so this MIGHT apply to the f80. The Enzo was another very, very polarizing design. In the very early days, they were heavily criticized and laughed at. I am by no means of Ferrari fan myself but Tim’s point of history is valid. It took nearly 10 years before a majority of people finally look back at the Enzo as a beautiful car.
Those saying that the Enzo is a beautiful car, should have their eyes checked. Still looks as crap to me, as it did when it launched. ...but at least it has an engine to be proud of, and sounds like a Ferrari top car. The F80 Prius absolutely doesn't.

@@steven_taylor_ genuine question.... Are you going to be satisfied and defend Ferrari when they put in a 4 cylinder hybrid in their next halo car just because some of their race cars at the time might use that engine?
“Race-bred brutalism” is how Jack Rix described the F80, and I absolutely agree with that descriptor. Ferrari were after each and every nanosecond of performance with the car, and its design shows that mindset and goal quite clearly. It’s meant to absolutely bully the air around it while flattening whatever race track it finds itself on. The enormous rooster tail that was produced when the F80 was driven in anger on the wet track says enough: this is a vehicle that cares only about performance, numbers, downforce, and tech to make it go faster. This is Ferrari’s take on the McLaren Senna, but with about 5 pounds of steroids added to it. It’s not pretty (even though I quite like the design), but it is incredibly striking and looks great out and about, and especially on the move. And, it’s not really supposed to be traditionalist pretty, not when it puts down the amount of performance and downforce that it does. 2,316lbs of downforce is what this thing produces. The Jesko Attack produces 1,764lbs of downforce, just to put things into perspective. The F80 is Ferrari’s attack dog, its weapon of mass road course destruction in road legal form. Again, this is their Senna moment, but with significantly more tech, power, downforce, and aero at play.
Tourbillon, T.50 and F80 do not service the same purpose; one is about effortless driving and top speed, one is aiming to be the best driver's car and not chase performance, and one is about track times and bringing motorsport tech to the road. Luckily for the buyers of these cars, they can generally buy multiple and experience these different niches alongside oneanother.

isn't motorsport (F1) a V6 because it has to be due to regulations? In lemans you see a different patern. I would choose a GMA t.50/Valkryie/t33 over an F80, and i'm guessing i'm not the only one. Sure a t.50 or t.33 is slower and has less power but who cares, it's about the drama, the emotion, the mechanical connection between the driver and machine that's what matters.

The 12 cilindri coming out before the F80 was the mistake. The most expensive and best performing car is supposed to lead the design language for the other cars in a manufacturer's lineup. The black stripe around the front immediatly reduces what is supposed to make the car special because we know where it came from, a lesser car.

That would be a good thing dude.
I will never come over how ugly the F80 is....

The mere existence of the GMA T50's Cosworth V12 completely irradicates all of your arguments for why a V6 is a better, or the only choice.
The companies are bound to different rules as one makes 14,000 cars a year and the other only double digits. You can only blame regulations for that.
@@Shmee150 Ridiculous. Ferrari has many other V12 powered cars.

Ferrari's headlights are a case study! They're horrendous in almost every model! Is quite amazing.
The design is trash
The senna is trash aswell
@@brett-fx3kmnahhh the senna looks soooo good, hater
@@SwordyAVReal speedtail was better tho
@@anonymousperson5441 i agree the speedtail is better but its a top speed car… not a track car
I bet you don't even know how to decorate your room😂
The market will speak. You are wrong. The V6 is not enough
I think you are agreeing with me; that's what I said in the video. Watch again from 25:02.
Thats some saturday night live program for you, best automotive channel, cheers Shmee!
The F80 Prius absolutely doesn't.
the enzo is the ugliest of the big 5, and the worst transmission too
Still can't say that the Enzo is a good looking car... The 288 GTO, F40 and LaFerrari are gorgeous looking cars... The rest not so.
Still don’t think the Enzo looks good. Hasn’t grown on me after all these years. Does look a lot better than this F80 though.
@@gambanteinodal1246Your crazy if you think the f40 looks better than the enzo.
The f40 is one of the ugliest supercars ever made.
Thanks Tim, you have become incredibly awesome! (knowledgeable). I've watched your videos since the beginning (Focus) and IMO, I think you have this proper handled!
Didnt Enzo remove Ferrari badge from Dino just because is 6 cylinder? And now the flagship Ferrari has 6 cylinder engine...
Shmee, first, been watching you from the beginning. Always like an appreciate you're videos. I will have to disagree with you on the design of this new f80, they could have went so many different routes. This car does not look better than the LA Ferrari, not even close!! It looks like two or three designs before. I'm sorry, Ferrari could have done so much better. Keep up the good work Shmee 👏
Shmee saying that a V12 wouldn't have fit in a body of that F80 please come on. Gordon Murray squeezed a V12 IN his T33. And it's a small car.
It doesn't have the additional hybrid components.
@@steven_taylor_ You don't need a hybrid or turbos if you slash 600 kg from the dry weight ...
@@meltdown6165 That was never Ferrari's point with the F80. The point was to showcase their latest racing technology like they previously did, Enzo had the F1 flappy paddle gearbox, LaFerrari had the HY-KER system, all F1 derived tech.
@@steven_taylor_ genuine question.... Are you going to be satisfied and defend Ferrari when they put in a 4 cylinder hybrid in their next halo car just because some of their race cars at the time might use that engine?
And Bugatti is making a v16
Technology of now is literally v16 coming in from bugatti, new hypercars company lunching v12s. T50 is not a technology of now?
Tourbillon, T.50 and F80 do not service the same purpose; one is about effortless driving and top speed, one is aiming to be the best driver's car and not chase performance, and one is about track times and bringing motorsport tech to the road. Luckily for the buyers of these cars, they can generally buy multiple and experience these different niches alongside oneanother.
@@Shmee150 tourbillion is definitely a much better driver's car than the butt ugly f80..
@@ibrahimbashir6634 your poetic way with words has convinced me...oh, nope, my bad, it was actually that my brain shut down for a second after reading your comment...never mind.
I really like the design. It's bold and unique in a world where too many car deigners keep things safe and boring. And it looks incredibly aggressive and brutal in the best way 👌🏾
Why would they put a v12 into an SUV and V6 into a foking hypercar???
cause a v12 is big and slow, a v6 is light and responsive.
you're commenting on a video that explains just that, you parrott
SUVs aren’t race cars. V6 is better for race cars than a v12
In my honest opinion, i think the f80 looks really incredible, and when that wing 🪽 came out, man, it looked ×10 better🤌 even when i saw it the first time i still thought it was epic and beautiful, it looks like a LM... congratulations to ferrari🎉
Ferrari is following Bmw. We all know how horrendous those things look.
they aim for the asian and middle eastern market
and those people are known to love hideous, tasteless and grotesque cars
Great video Tim, the footage onboard the FXX-K Evo was insane! Interesting thoughts on the price -vs- exclusivity at the end, are all F80’s sold already like the W1?
They certainly state they are all sold out, that's the official line.
Well, V6 engine...that's sad 😢
That won le mans 2 times in a row
The V6 engine isn’t the worst part. It’s a great powertrain, but it does sound like a vacuum
@@Skylar17199 the le mans v6 sounds great, this sounds like a dyson
@Skylar17199 Does anybody really care? All I've heard from f1 lately is how lame the v6 engines are, regardless of performance.
Ferrari SP3 should've been a successor to the La Ferrari not the Ferrari F80 Vacuum. 😭😭😭, you know what? Let me stop my fingers from typing because I can't even afford one☹️☹️☹️☹️
you are always genuine and enthusiastic in your videos. the passion for what you do is always visible! a real Ferrari boy!.
Great Vid Tim, thanks mate, epic!
The Daytona should have been the LaF replacement ❤
So you want a slower car replacing the LaF?
@@steven_taylor_ If speed is the key metric and you have 4 million to burn, wouldn't you get a Koenigsegg? Or Valkyrie? Or RB17?
@@meltdown6165 What if someone wants a Ferrari?
Please keep the RB17 out from this, that car is not road legal, is going to be impossible to drive without proper training given the amount of down force it will produce, only kids or people with no knowledge about cars would bring up that car when talking about drivable road legal cars.
@@meltdown6165 Koennigsegg? Did you know that tracks have corners?
@@steven_taylor_ I thought you wanted speed? If you want style, go for the SP3 :D Valid point about the RB17 though.
Tim never fails to deliver.
14:56 Horrible car. An sf90 with 296 engine and a weird ugly body kit.
What? What? Are you even informed about the F80?
Stop talking out your ass dude
I wish all youtubers had your video quality :) Thanks Shmee!
The SP3 I believe in the long run with the V12, and far better looks will be a much more desirable/collectable car. As you say time will tell, but for now, the insane price, butt ugly looks and V6 , plus the number being produced all play against it imo.
Another great video Tim. I agree with you so time will tell. Thanks again and keep up the great work. Regards Jim.
Wow... Shmee finally says something other then agreeing and loving everything?
Thats the wonder of 2024.
i love the channel and contend, but the constant "yea sayer" attitude was just getting to much.
nobody can love everything.
I just appreciate that one person here actually watched the video! The comments are hilarious from those who clearly wrote before watching.
The F80 is the modern day version of the F50, doesn't get much love and very polarizing on people's eyes after following very successful iconic hypercars in the F40 and the Laferrari respectively.
F50 has much lower production numbers, so still very good as an investment
isn't motorsport (F1) a V6 because it has to be due to regulations? In lemans you see a different patern. I would choose a GMA t.50/Valkryie/t33 over an F80, and i'm guessing i'm not the only one. Sure a t.50 or t.33 is slower and has less power but who cares, it's about the drama, the emotion, the mechanical connection between the driver and machine that's what matters.
Shmee is really spoiling us with all his Ferrari content! Thank you Shmee! 👏🏻
I think Ferrari is missing the point. Yes the V6 has been successful in winning for them, but for a ROAD car ppl want the V12.
Road F12. Not derived from F1 with resource of 2000km. Road again. Road
They didn't miss anything, if you want a road car with the v12 buy the 12Cilindri.
@@steven_taylor_ If that's the case, then what's the point of a hyper car? To take a $1M+ car on the track? They have a whole separate program for that. I'm cool with its design, but it's purpose is confusing.
@@joeljeffrey9139 I think you're forgetting the fact Ferrari's current race cars are all powered by a v6 engine including their LeMans winning hypercar, the point of the F80 is to showcase their latest racing technology like they did previously with LaFerrari (F1 derived HY-KERS unit), Enzo (F1 derived flappy paddle gearbox), F50 (F1 derived engine). You're too naive to understand the point behind the F80, you people only go on about the v12 engine but the reality is that their v12 isn't the most potent power train option available currently.
@@steven_taylor_ nice bait, almost had me ngl
At 20:40, Tim explains it perfectly. I want a ferrari flagship model to have a V12 too. The f80 does sound like a vacuum cleaner but when it comes to the holy trinity models, manufacturers are trying to showcase the pinnacle of their technology in this case Ferrari with their race-win V6. If you want a new 12 cylinder Ferrari they are still offering them too with the purosangue and the 12 cillindri.
Admit it Tim - you bet on the wrong horse.

Tim is obviously acting like the none grown 10 year old boy. Look at his styling and language. No hate, just an observation.

To me it looks like a modern day F40. More diagonal and squared off lines, down to the Turbo engines on both. Would V8 be cooler, sure but Schmee is right. V6 Turbos can be found in F1 cars and LeMans cars. This is literally what is currently the pinnacle in Motorsport. Also I agree they needed to make less of them, 799 is way too much.
Shmee isn’t luck to have Ferrari, Ferrari is lucky to have shmee as an ambassador. Arguably the ultimate ambassador.
100% agreed. Im positive Shmee can buy one if he wants. They would be morons not to offer him one. Can't wait to see the F80 Shmee mobile!! Its time for Timmy to open his wallet LOL
Love getting the explanation of what models are similar and different in the style
Why are people hating it so much ?
As a f40 lover i liked this f80 so much
Boxy retro modern design is very beautifully integrated into this car for sure
I've been in Spa this September it is awesome to hear all these Wonderful machines 😊
14:50 😂 Couldn’t even hear it. How embarrassing.
Love the triple camera angles at the same time
In my opinion the F50 was ugly, the Enzo was ugly, the La Ferrari was ugly and the F80 only looks good in Black! Although the XX versions are gorgeous!
The SP1/2 and SP3 are drop dead gorgeous, the main production models are good looking cars for the most part, except the Superfast!
Names the most timeless cars ever and says they're ugly 😂
people are so quick to hate on designs that challenge their sense of beauty on first impression. This is for sure a car that will grow on you the more you look at it and see it in natural lighting
This thing is weak. No thx
I liked the new F80 a lot, I liked its design, the hybrid V6, everything. It’s a crazy contemporary supercar!
Weird. The fanboy is super positive about the F80 design. Didn’t see that coming.
And the haters are working overtime with the hate comments.
This video isn't about opinions on the design; you've formed that opinion based on your preconceptions. It's very interesting psychology behind what makes you think that way actually.
