Your lawn is filling in nicely LE. I think the robot mower is an interesting idea. They are really popular right now near me. It will be fun to see how it works out. Next, add a dog walking treadmill, and you can go full George Jetson.
Thank you, yes the lawn is coming around nicely. I like the idea of the automatic dog walker and sign me up for the machine that gets me ready in the morning 🤣. I would rather not have to go work for Mr. Spacely though.
Can you reccomend where I can buy a complete spindle for my 2016 Regent 38 inch deck? My local dealer quit the business. I just took over caring for this mower from my elderly dad.
That is one downside of Simplicity, parts availability isn’t great. I recommend calling a Simplicity dealer and ask for the part number. Once you have a part number use it to search Amazon and find one there.
You could also have everyone in the family help. Every able body in a household should be able to help. Inside & outside the house. Teach your daughters what & how to care for the lawn & yard. It will benefit them as adults & save $3000.
Here is the update: ua-cam.com/video/7Y3tsC0UwvM/v-deo.html It did not wear well or prevent grass buildup. Unfortunately, it seems better to remove the deck and pressure wash it.
when you first mentioned the word t-ball, i thought you had said d-bol,,,,,, lol. lawn engineer is now bulking up in the gym, gonna get to 260lb and then go on a cut, that's the real big change folks. lol.
I would keep the tractor for a little while in case the robot doesn't work, one thing I found out about mulching vs bagging, weeds went down considerably vs when I mulched
Yes, I’m definitely keeping the Simplicity until I’m confident the robo is working well. I will have to keep my eyes on the weeds, that is an interesting point about mulching.
I think keeping the tractor, or at least having some back up gas mower, is a good idea. How are you going to pick up all hose leaves in the Fall? What if the lawn needs to be bagged, gets too high, or too filled with debris for the Robomower?
@@morte2195 I’ve been think about that. I might get and electric walk behind to do some bagging when necessary. I’m going to start off with using the backpack blower to remove debris and get rid of this fall leaves. We will see how things work out but the robot mower will definitely needs help with leaves and such.
