I am a mechanical engineer who started a UA-cam channel!
I have four main interests that I want to share with you. Instead of the standard how-to I like to take a deeper look into most things and provide an engineer's perspective.
1. Lawn Care and lawn care equipment
2. Automotive maintanence
3. Golf
4. Firewood/Chainsaws
5. Bird watching
6. Home Improvement/Appliances
You don't have to do things like I do, but hopefully you can learn something and decide how you want to do things! Freedom!

Dreame RoboticMower A1: Setup and Test Mow
As a fleet mechanic, I've done a countless number of these on the fleet of promasters at work. One of two things. You can leave the injectors in the lower intake by just disconnecting the fuel supply line from the fuel rail and unplugging the coil packs from the electrical harness. Also if you put a thin coat of lithium grease on that cooler O-ring it'll slide on in. If you use the rubber mallet to drive it in you take a chance on rolling or pinching that O-ring out of the groove. Very informative video💯
Thank you for taking the time to share these pro tips 👍
@TheLawnEngineer, you're welcome anytime.
I had a black screen on my 2017 Pacifica, I followed the instructions and bam the problem is fixed. Thanks
Great to hear, thanks for taking the time to comment!
What causes the actual unconnect to quit working if the fuse is good?
I believe it’s a software glitch.
Holy smokes. It worked! Hahahaha Full disclosure - I’m an engineer and for the life of me I could not figure out what kept causing this Error 26. I looked into it and all of the iRobot recommendations discussed everything BUT this. None of their fixes worked, yet yours did. I didn’t even know this rubber cap piece was here until just now. After watching your video I removed it, and noticed the central points of the rectangular face were drooping in towards one another - perhaps causing a source of airflow that evidently caused the roomba to detect error 26. Thank you so much for this simple yet effective solution!!!!!
I am so glad it worked for you, thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
Has anyone used Seafoam to clean your injectors?
I had added it to the gas tank for quite a few years. It does seem to make a noticeable different, but it's difficult to quantify the improvement.
Great Production thanks I likes and subscribed for sure gonna tell other saw users for sure. Keep broadcasting yourself bro!!
Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to comment and spread the word.
Thank you for this great video - super helpful! Got me the extra day I needed on the fan before the new part arrived!
You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
But what if you are only using the recirculation mode and you want heat 30 degrees Celsius heat but you already have 28 degrees in the car. How can it only use 20% ( since radiator is waaay too hot to bump the temp just 2 degrees ) pass through radiator to keep the temp ok ? Where does the rest of the 80% cooler air come from ? It can't come from ouside as it's in recirculating mode. Does the other 80% just come from a " cold spot hidden vent" inside the car?
There is a blend door that can direct a portion of the recirculating air past the heater core. Essentially, there is a bypass.
You skipped like the whole taking off part
I’ll try to be better.
I would attempt this but I have extended Mopar MAXcare warranty, I just may have them check it and have them do it if they feel it needs it. I'll probably have to pay for new coolant though. Also my thermostat is opening too fast, the engine is taking too long to heat up, as a result the engine light came on. I noticed you didn't put any rags in the intake ports... that is rather risky.. Thanks for the video.
Good luck on getting the warranty replacement. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for the video. It worked exactly like you showed.
Great to hear! Thanks for taking time to comment.
Is it jsut me but the front most lower section is a shank hazzard? Low balls hitting that thicker part directly will bounce back at speed?
I’ve hit it all over the net and haven’t had one come back at speed.
Thanks man just bought an M441

They also sell a part for 8$ that is a false spark plug that does the same thing blocks the piston from coming all the way back up, but I used paracord and it worked just fine paired with this video I’m on my way
Good tip on the false spark plug, thanks for taking the time to share.
We had the same sliding door issues. There was a door module update that fixed it permanently. The dealer did this for free under warranty. You have to tell them about it. We never had to spray the seals or clean the door, but good tips as always.
That is good to know, thanks for the information!
Did my comment post about a 2016 Stihl BG56C not starting ??
I don’t think it came through.
So happy to come across your series of videos on the Pacifica! My sister has one and she managed to put on 130k miles in the 3 years she has owned the vehicle and she told me the other day she had no oil in her car after just filling it not too long ago. I checked it out and noticed that same puddle under the oil filter and said hmm, this looks like an oil and coolant mixture to me then BAM! I found your video to confirm my exact thoughts. So now I'm shopping for this exact part online and getting it done for her as soon as the part comes in. I see you put this video out just under two years ago, do you still own the Pacifica? If yes or no, how long has the part lasted for you trouble free? Appreciate the great videos in this series, it sure will be helpful when I'm doing all the maintenance for her moving forward! I'm going to try that transmission reset as well, she said she is having some feelings of slipping or jerking when driving. I am hopeful with all of your videos I can help get her car back to normal operations so she can continue to drive my nephews and niece all over creation and put another 130k miles on it thanks to my attendance to The Lawn Engineer University LOL
Best of luck, you’re a great person for helping out your sister.
@ thank you!! How has your replacement part held up?
Are these worth it? I was thinking of ordering them but the 130 5 star reviews seem suspicious
I don’t think they are worth it. I have a follow up video: Do Rim Protectors Work? ua-cam.com/users/shortsGRKqYGNcIG4?feature=share
@ thank you! Looks like another crappy product damn. I guess I’m just gonna grab the sander and buff it out
There are ones made out of plastic that I have used on Amazon for like 60 bucks. Eventually the adhesive fails so you end up replacing it. The good part is that it comes in a roll so you can replace parts of a wheel at a time. I have had pretty good luck with it.
@@Sacko2008 do you have a model y or 3?
@ 2022 M3P
Thank you so much. That's such a no brainer. When I get my Gladiator, it will be a soft top.
You are so welcome!
Great video. Came out this morning to find a cold garage. Followed the video step by step. 3 blinks. Cleaned out the port and back in business. Well done. Thanks for putting it out there. !!
You're welcome, and glad it was a quick fix!
Where do you keep the attachments? I’m trying to find a way to mount them all
I still have them in the bag . I had the bag hung by the hose but I didn’t like that. Now I wedged it between the wall and the top of the vacuum body, but still not really sure where to put them.
@@TheLawnEngineer I reached out to a creator on etsy who is gonna 3d print me a mount. It was the only option I could find
Would this be the same procedure on a 230
Yes, very similar.

Please email me your contact information and order #. I'll try to help you out. My email address can be found in my UA-cam profile.
thank you very much this actually worked. I literally cannot drive without music so to suffice i need a fast and good engine but obviously im driving a 2017 chrysler pacifica with over 100k miles so that wont do, so instead i blast my music. When i found out that the screen turned black and i couldnt even connect my bluetooth i was devastated. First dookie engine, and now no music. I was gonna crash out and call someone to help but i felt it was my time to shine and become the independent person i always wanted to be so i searched up a tutorial and your video was the first one and i watched, did all the steps, and it worked first try. I could literally marry you, you dont know how much this means to me you are the best. Now i can drive a shitty car and blast music. Thank you, sincerely, some random ahh nig
Quick question, my 2020 JL w/2.0L some Dana’s (44) have drain plug on side bottom, but mine has literally facing ground, trying to figure out if I have the Dana 35’s or Dana 44’s, which by the way I have front and rear the same cover. I know from my ‘Google Mechanic’ research I know a lot states that 35’s are rounded, and 44’s have 6 sided, just no idea if I have 44’s. I read my manual first but then didn’t find anything unless I skipped/scanned too damn quick. Oh, new to the Jeep brand! 😂 ps, how do I put pic on here so y’all can help a Brotha out?! Thanks in advance y’all! 🫡
Check the Trim Level: Non-Rubicon Models: Typically, JL Wranglers (Sport, Sahara) come with a Dana 30 front axle and a Dana 35 rear axle. Rubicon Models: These are equipped with a Dana 44 front and rear axle. Inspect the Axle: Dana 30: Look for the differential cover. It has flat sides with a round top and bottom. This is usually found on the front axle of non-Rubicon models. Dana 35: Similar to the Dana 30, but used as the rear axle on standard JL models. It might have a different cover shape but shares the flat sides. Dana 44: Recognizable by a larger differential cover with 10 bolt holes. On Rubicon models, both front and rear axles will be Dana 44s. They are also used on some higher-end trims or with specific options like the Anti-Spin Differential.
How did you prepare the concrete before laying it down? I did mine 2 years ago and haven't had any issues and am planning on doing it agin in a new house, but just wondering if I got lucky with my application. I made sure to degrease and acid etch the concrete before I applied the Polycuramine.
I used an angle grinder to grind every square inch down to fresh concrete. There is a link to the video in this video’s description.
Thanks for the video. I just ordered one without the sidekick based upon your recommendation with your code!!
Awesome, you are going to love it!
My parents have a 2020 pacific and have these same shifting issues and it drives them crazy! Now they are also having issues with the car going into reverse or drive. The dial gear shift will literally jump back into park on its own when they try putting it into reverse. Sometimes if they wait 10 minutes or so it will shift fine. But very frustrating. Could this simple fix of yours help with that too possibly? They are states away on a trip and I'm trying to find a quick fix to help them. Thank you!
Yes, this reset should help with the shifting too. When the parameters get too far off it even affects going in and out of drive/reverse.
Thank you! I will have them give it a try.
Unfortunately, it did not help the shifting issue. Do you have any other suggestions?
@@jamieanderson3300the only other thing I would try is to disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes. But most likely it will have to go in for service.
Nice but if you can invest in buying a billy goat 🐐 blower that would be 🔥
Yes, those look like they take things to a another level.
Is that the 150
It’s the 2.5gallon unit. There is a link in the video description.
It took me a few seconds to figure out what the sound was as you were talking. Yep, the water going down the drain. Anyway, a year ago I bought TREETONE's Oil Spill Mat, 7.4 x 17 Ft, Premium Absorbent Oil Pad. Contains Liquids, Protects Garage Floor from Spills, Drips, Splashes and Stains. Washable, Reusable, Waterproof Rubber Parking Mats. I don't have a drain in my garage. I have just one car. It's on amazon and it currently lists for $130 less a $10 coupon. Granted, it won't help the rest of the floor, but better the mat collects the dirt, etc and not your floor.
I’ll have to check out those mats. It might have prevented the peeling by providing and insulation between the tire and the coating. Thanks for the suggestion.
I had the same result from a previous version of this product. And same conditions as well. So I feel I was part of the problem. Still not sure it would hold where the tires rest.
Thanks for sharing your experience, it's good to know I'm not alone.
What the heck! Your bill is less than my Alliant bill! lol
Lol
Gonna be tackling this today, wish me luck! Recently did a crossover tube on a 3.2 Audi v6, so I’m anxious to see how this compares 😂
Good luck! Let me know how it goes! Those German vehicles are something special 🙃. I had a BMW X5 that created quite a few opportunities to work on it.
👍thanks
Welcome 👍
While I agree the NACS handle is smaller and better, you didn't have to use the app or get into the car to unlock the charge port. You could have simply pressed and released the button on the J1772 handle and then wait till the charge port unlocks, then pull the J1772 handle w/ adapter out all in one.
I’ve tried that and pulled out the handle but the adapter stays in and the charge door can close on it.
@@TheLawnEngineer don't hold the button in.. press and release it.. wait till you hear the port unlock, then pull out both together.
it makes no sense that they need to have a separate device to tell it is car charging. the reason for nighttime charging is power plants have extra power at that time so it should not matter if you are doing your dishes or charging car
I totally agree with you, that’s how it should be!
Do you pay separate costs for supply and delivery? I ask as I am in New York State, so my bill shows not only the monthly customer charge ($19) but also supply cost and delivery cost. We can pick ESCOs so one would compare the supply cost to another supplier to determine who has the better price (obviously, the delivery cost is a function of my electric company's pricing). When I add my 2 costs from the recent bill I get Delivery $0.07894 + Supply $0.06426962 = $0.14320962. So, would I compare that 14 cents to your 13 cents? Your costs showed the $67, but was the $97 at the bottom of the page?
We don't have a choice in utilities, so they don't separate the delivery and supply. Your comparison at the end is accurate, but we do have a "customer" charge of $0.59 a day. The $97 is the subtotal of all electricity for the household electricity outside of the EV charger.
Brother thank you for posting this. I’m almost positive that our 2017 is experiencing the same thing. Thanks again, God bless!
You’re welcome, hope this helps!
Thank you so much i save dollars to this...

So does this change all the fluid? Or do you sort of have to do multi drain and fills to really replace all the fluid? My old Acura drained 3qt, but had 4qt more elsehwere that wouldn’t drain. So needed to do 3 drain and fills to mathematically get 90%+ new fluid in. Just signed a 2019 TLX with a ZF9, so this video was helpful
This does not change all the fluid. The there is still quite a bit of fluid in the torque converter so you will have to do multiple changes to get all the fluid. That said, I do not recommend a flush and fill that changes the fluid 100% at one time. The friction material from the clutches in an automatic transmission float around in the fluid and changes it properties over time. The adaptive transmission controls adjust parameters to the fluid. Changing 100% at one time can actually cause problems.
