Be sure to get your seats facing forward (direction train is moving). Take care, Cliff in Minnesota
Always keep in mind, that your productions are not movies from the point of view of a train driver, but movies from your own point of view. Therefore trust that you will continue to offer your new points of view, of the fascinating Norwegian nature, no matter by boat or kayak through the fjords, maybe by car or bike on the most suggestive roads, or even on foot or bicycle along the best hikes in the region. I hope you have very good luck with everything.
Glad to see your back! Looking forward to seeing more trips across Norway. Question; have you ever considered besides shooting the rails ahead but to also to shoot out the side as your travelling forward? I often catch myself glancing to the edge of my iPad screen to see scenery on the sides as your train travels over bridges through valleys along rivers with waterfalls. It maybe too much trouble editing what to choose, split screens, etc. Thanks for all the trips you’ve taken me on from a few thousand miles away.
Thank you. I have several videos where I've included the side view. Most of the sidewindows are tinted on newer engines and therefore it will be kind of hard to film out of them. It also takes more time to set up multiple cameras, and I can not delay the train for setting them up. I have done several videos with side views, and here is one of them ua-cam.com/video/VZykPdXuUcA/v-deo.html I have also done this on several of my videos from the Flåm Railway :)
I really respect you driving fully awake this late during the night. I remember, when I had to get up at 5 in the morning during my apprenticeship every work day. I'm not a fan of night rides as you can't see much. But the quality of your camera and quality of photography shows quite a lot. Still impressed how much light there's in Norwegian sky between midnight and 2 AM. Was this filmed in August? 🐦Couldn't find seagull emoji - this is the nearest. Thanks for the video.
Takk for ny førerplassfilm, RCG.
I couldn't find a Sea Gull emoji but the bird strike was at 3:16:13. It's cool to see you on this part of the Bergen line again! They have really made some changes at the Bergen freight terminal. @@MidnightAspec there is a reason for that ;) The AEM was produced by ASEA which is the same Swedish company that produced the RC-series of locos. ASEA is an acronym for Allmänna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget translated to General Swedish Electrical Limited Company :) The AEM7 is a derivative of the RC4.

😃Yess! A new brilliant video. Great stuff, thanks alot.👍 Btw, the Rc3 locos were made for fast passenger services (->160kmh). Has a transmission gear conversion been done to this unit to make it more suitable for freight services? Just curious.
@@49a463 yes, a transmission conversion has been made on some, one is even weighted down. But, you can really feel it on the rest of the fleet that they’re not really made to haul freight

What places along the line in your opinion are the ultimate must stops. Places where i can spend a while on the train then get off spend a day or so exploring the area then get back on and continue along. I was going to fly into Oslo spend some time there and then jump on the train and leave Norway from Bergen.
I would highly suggest you looking into "Norway in a nutshell", where you take the train from Oslo To Bergen. Bergen to Myrdal, Flåm Railway From Myrdal to Flåm and then the boat to Gudvangen to experience the viking settlement before heading back to Voss with Buss and back to Bergen. :)

@@RailCowGirl I'm already beyond excited🤣 And really the credit for wanting to do this journey is yours, your wonderful videos showed me how beautiful the line is so it made it to my wishlist. Thank you so much❤️😍
@@heatherydew3361 I just returned from Norway on a trip on the the Bergensbaner Oslo to Bergen. Highly recommend spending a few extra kroners for the upgraded seats in coach #1 (right behind the loco). Legroom, the small table and large widows will make your journey very memorable. Be sure to get your seats facing forward (direction train is moving). Take care, Cliff in Minnesota
@@cliffsjolundjr5918 yes I had a look and was thinking the upgrade would be worth the money, so good to know it is!! Thanks👍
Love watching these anlove the winter ones.😊😊😊😊😊😊..❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😃❤️
Always keep in mind, that your productions are not movies from the point of view of a train driver, but movies from your own point of view. Therefore trust that you will continue to offer your new points of view, of the fascinating Norwegian nature, no matter by boat or kayak through the fjords, maybe by car or bike on the most suggestive roads, or even on foot or bicycle along the best hikes in the region. I hope you have very good luck with everything.
That is so true. I'm showing you how I experience it :D it is truly MY view :D
What a great clip!!! I absolutely love the Bergen line! And I love the summer time clips too! The seagull's should have gone to bed! :) :)
The forever nap for the guls.
Tusen takk :D
I have done several videos with side views, and here is one of them ua-cam.com/video/VZykPdXuUcA/v-deo.html
I have also done this on several of my videos from the Flåm Railway :)
So your back, Nice!
So glad you're back!
Thanks!
Back on the Bergen line makes me so happy to see that. Thank you for the ride along. Silly seagulls 🐔
Glad you enjoyed it! Bet the seagulls did not.lol
@@RailCowGirl LOL You are so right they probably didn't enjoy it unless they were suicidal.
Just love your videos!!!! So relaxing and love the views!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! :D
I really respect you driving fully awake this late during the night. I remember, when I had to get up at 5 in the morning during my apprenticeship every work day. In the long run it really ruined my mental health. I'm doing much better now though, but it took almost 10 years for me to get stable again. Much love from myself 🥰🤟
I can assure you that working these shifts really affects me. You become weird after nightshifts.
Another great video. Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always love to watch train vids especially yours. Out of all the train pov "Vlogs" yours is the only ones ill consitently watch multiple times. Especially if im having trouble sleeping. I also now have a bird that thankfully was asleep in this video not sure shell handle seeing 2 of her kin being railkill. Anyways keep safe have fun and heres waiting for the next vid!. From typhoon on a farm near kipp railyard Alberta 🇨🇦
Thank you so much :D I love birds, and it is sad that some are getting hit. What kind of bird do you have? Budgee? I used to have two english Budgees. They are so fun being around :D
Honestly no clue she used to he my brothers. But what was supposed to be watching over her for a couple of months while he finds a new place turned into a more permanent thing.
Hey, new material! Let me just grab some food and TGIF! 🙂
Wieder ein tolles Video, Danke!
Thank you!
Well that's one way to clear a platform of seagulls nice video awesome with the interchanges in the tunnel
Yep, heavy equipment for crazy birds :p
@@RailCowGirl Natural selection LOL hope you have a great day!
Thank you!😊
Nice view 🙂
Bravo for the "rear" view as you back the train into the freight terminal. Would love to see that view for an entire trip to watch how the entire train moves.
sometimes you get "lucky" and there isn't much freight. would be better with a completely full train.
@@RailCowGirl Even still, you would want a nice clear view from the window
🤗🙏🌹🏆
Thank you for sharing this
Thank YOU for watching the video :D
Magnifico viaggio ❤❤
Turning on your interiorlights to say hello to oncoming colleges.... So sweet 😊
always :D
Hi RCG. Absolutely love your videos. Your videos are not just scenic and relaxing but educational. Much better than others. 'Norway ... Therapy for the Soul.' Planning a trip back to Norway from Canada. Was there in 1986 for 5 weeks but only in the north. Left my heart there. Most beautiful land on earth. And the people even better. This time I want to visit the south. Were the Seagulls carrying their weapons when they attacked the train?? Did they get to go to Valhalla? 😁
They went to Valhalla and are now celebrating with mead. hehehehe They are now flying over the eternal shores of abundance of fish.
She's back the train master😯
I'm not a fan of night rides as you can't see much. But the quality of your camera and quality of photography shows quite a lot. Still impressed how much light there's in Norwegian sky between midnight and 2 AM. Was this filmed in August? 🐦Couldn't find seagull emoji - this is the nearest. Thanks for the video.
Takk for ny førerplassfilm, RCG.
Crystal clear video
Thank you :D
Très belle video as usuel Thanks you
Thanks a lot!
I couldn't find a Sea Gull emoji but the bird strike was at 3:16:13. It's cool to see you on this part of the Bergen line again! They have really made some changes at the Bergen freight terminal. As always, thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to post another wonderful video. Take care and thanks again. Dave in NorCal
@@swarfrat311 slap slap 😂🦤🦤 dodo should suffice as it is very dodo-ish to sit on the track :p
Wieder SUPER! Danke.
Danke :D
WOW!!! The RC3 looks a lot like Amtrak's old AEM7.
@@MidnightAspec there is a reason for that ;) The AEM was produced by ASEA which is the same Swedish company that produced the RC-series of locos.
ASEA is an acronym for Allmänna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget translated to General Swedish Electrical Limited Company :)
The AEM7 is a derivative of the RC4.
Nice to see you again!!!!!
Thanks! You too!
Yippee Ca Ya back in the saddle again.
As always thank you!
Thank YOU :D
Thanks. Yes, we do. Recently we've had some really nice ones this far south!
That overhead light is kind of wild. You know - it would be cool if you narrated your trip map up front or told us about your route in that opening scene sometime. Been a while since I heard you talk to us. Just saying :). Looked like a beautiful night for for a train ride
Cool and awesome video. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
Yay...welcome back😁👍
I never left
@@RailCowGirl I meant you're back posting again...love all your videos❤😁👍
Good to see an oldish loco still giving the seagulls what for.👍
Wonderful video as usual! Did you got a new camera? Very nice colors and white balance.
It's the same camera I've used for quite some time now :) Sony FX3 :)
My favorite UA-camr
Nice video I love your videos
Glad you like them! :D
Because of your videos i am planning to come over from Australia to Norway during the winter to do the RailCowGirl Bergen tour. I need to see this for myself.
Really did love your note on the Star Wars Hoth at Finse. I will see Finse in a whole new light in the future.
most likely, you will. :D hehehe
R.I.P James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader 😢😢
My other favorite bedtime video!!!!
