4K CABVIEW: FREIGHT NIGHT on the Bergen Line
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 тра 2024
- It's finally freight night on the Bergen Line! We're going from Ål to Bergen on this trip. In Bergen we'll be going around with Locomotive and pulling out on the Kronstad track which was part of the original Vossa Line. The Vossa Line opened in 1883 and Bergen station opened in 1913. The line was first a narrow gauge but was converted to normal gauge in 1909 with the completion of the Bergen Line. After pulling out on the Kronstad track we'll be slipping back into the freight terminal.

Stunning! This must be amongst the very best videos shot at night. Professional recording equipment and expert post production to a standard that any broadcasting organisation would find hard to equal. RailCowGirl has raised the bar again!
is this a Sony A7S ?
@@abrikotv900 She used a BlackMagic Pocket 6K along with a Canon EF 2750B002 lens, look at the video description, everything is linked there.
@@Felixprogram very nice !
Wow train engineers are paid a lot. That's some expensive kit
And no voiceovers
This is a wonderful pre Christmas treat for us. Gee, now those speed modifier signs below the speed limit triangles can be ignored by you as you move the freight Norway needs. It is nice that Green Cargo is allowing you to film so a big thank you to them for it.+
Lovely! The camaraderie between the engineers is heartwarming. Thank you for this opportunity to see professionalism in action in Norway.
I have always been a creature of the night. A lifetime of late nite working, the mystique of the darkness, the lights, wondering what lurks in the darkness. Thank you for this fantastic ride. Stay safe, stay healthy and a prosperous new year!
This video is simply mesmerizing. What an antidote to all the stress that can build up in our fast-paced society. It looks like I am going to have to learn Norwegian so I can marvel at all this beauty in person.
Agree 💯
You dont have to, we speak good English in Norway :)
@@albions I'm learning Norwegian 🙂 I like this language 😄
Man All Sorts Of Emotions Passing Through Voss🤧
Congratulations on the new job, and this video blew me away. I have a brand new computer with a 4k screen and truly amazing color and image accurancy. Plus, filming at night invites trouble. But your camera equipment is very good, I am impressed. I just found the link to your camera equipment, and both the lens and camera body are very, very good. You must be into photograhy. By the way that is the prefect lens for this type of filming. I've bought almost everything from Amazon for last 10 years, they are like the Nordstroms of the internet. Anyway, thank you for your excellent effort. And have a happy holiday season.
OMG! I have never been more excited to see a brand new video...Wow the power of the Bombardier( Green Cargo )Lights I am Amazed. I have goosebumps RCG!
Love the loneliness to nowhere... and in btw stations.............. Thans for your videos... These are mystic and wonderful
Wow snowy and beautiful , I think Christmas has come early 🎄
Well I must say, this train has a much better horn than your old ones !!. Thanks for the video, love watching these, so relaxing.
This has to be the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen! It's like watching a Hallmark Christmas commercial. 🎄🚉🚞🥰
Merry Christmas Miss RCG! How’s the new job for you? Challenging and exciting I hope. I’m watching this in VR and it’s pretty awesome.
I love the winter look.
Then you’ll probably love the video coming this Friday even more ;)
What treat!! A whole new outlook on the countryside we've ridden with you so many times. Thank you for the hard work and the excellent result.
Back again! Wonderful! Greetings from Germany.
Thanks a lot!
It's freightening to watch!
bada bom ts. hehehehehehe
As you approach them, the Light of the Cities Bouncing off of the Clouds is Absolutely Overwhelming, a Brilliant Angelic Aura if I've Ever Seen One. Breathtaking For Sure. Top Notch RCG, Top Notch
I hope the cab was warm inside, as I'm shivering just watching the video! 🥶
I stayed in that hostel at 2:23:22 when I was backpacking through Scandinavia!
I love these videos, watching while listening to an Audiobook is so relaxing.
Wow. Norway is beautiful by day but stunning at night.
That's very amazing you changed for freight :) Thats is more better to watch, more interesting :) Good luck in new work
Loving the new content RCG. Must seem a bit strange not having to stop at stations to pick up passengers ☺️
Still watching the old videos as well. I’ll never get tired of those, ever ♥️😊
Merry Christmas to you 🎄🤗
But to be honest, apparently there were never many pessengers to pick up.
@@felikesmeerssen3263 Very true 👍🏼😁
I so love trains!!!!!! I have always wanted to be on a train. Never had the chance. Thank you for this live cam. I love this!
Dear RCG Thank you! for your attentive video. I appreciate in saying, I missed your railroad wanderings. I reiterate my thanks. Good luck. Peace and good!!
Been watching a few of your vids, they are fascinating. I used to drive Tube trains on London Underground and the main line guys used to call us Toytown Railway. lol. Never did get on the mainline though I would have loved to. Fantastic job here RCG. Keep it up and thanks again for all the time and work you put in to bring us these brilliant videos.
In Norway a good deal of the voyage seems to take place in tubes too! Never saw so many tunnels!
Yes very well done I noticed lots of tunnels this could make a good train simulation video game
Stumbled upon this video and channel by first looking at funny "cats vs trains" (model trains) videos and now I'm wondering how I never knew all my life how awesome this is.
I am so glad cat vs train lead you here ❤️ Welcome! 😃
@@RailCowGirl thank you 😊 first watching cats attacking miniature towns and their trains and then to a "ride" in a miniature train thru a garden in Germany, and your video was suggested from there 😁
Excellent video RCG. I loved that third crossing and the other driver waving his arms crazily. It reminds me of my early days of driving, although I was in the cab of a diesel. Most of our trains are about 1.8kms long (around 4,000 + tonnes) due to crossing loop length
Thank you! Yep, we need to stay friendly and besides, we used to work together in Vy ;)
What a beautiful video. Even the tunnels were a joy to watch. I started watching to enjoy the views of Norway. But I am really loving these night rides as well. Thank you so very much.
Nice work, RailCowGirl ❤️
Thanks! 😊
Merry Christmas precious raildriver! I shared your channel a lot today! I hope it helps to make your channel bigger. When ever I'm in your country I hope to have you as driver. And make some really awesome shots!
Merry Christmas to you too! ❤️ and thank you! ❤️
Video veramente Fantastico.
Uno spettacolo..che con la neve, il paesaggio Norvegese e le luci notturne dei paesi che si incontrano lungo la tratta ferroviaria, rende il tutto, in un ambiente magico.....
Veramente bello👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much!
AWESOME night freighter trip, enjoyed it very much. Liked the cab wave btn both freighters. Long pull. Thanks for the ride.
This was a joy to watch. Excellent videography and post production work. Thanks very much
I love this video thank you for sharing you have a gift, keep posting ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
This train video helps me to focus on becoming the best hamster I can be.
Greetings from a German RailMan 😎 Youre Videos are very impressive 😁
Thank you so much!
Oh yay!!! A nighttime ride. 😊😊😊 BEAUTIFUL!
We've never had to wait on trains in Hallingskeid before felt strange but was neat.
I've been watching this channel for so long that I've even started to recognize some of the railway signs. A yellow diamond with a black line through it means: sound your horn.
and the yellow triangle with a number is the speed sign - a triangle with a 9 means 90, a triangle with a 6 means 60.
Before I forget again to say thank you, Thank You For Bein Awesome.😁😁
Was recommended on this Christmas TV selection, spent hours with the family watching your journey, thank you and have a blessed Christmas ❤️
Thank you so much :) Merry Christmas, even though I reply a year later.
This might be one of the visually best videos you've done! It's incredible.
Wow, thank you so much!!
Thank you stunning....34 c here in Sydney Australia.,.very cooling..
1:16:27 Amazing, double crossing with freight trains :) Eurodual and El 14. Wow.
1:57:47 haha nice greetings hehe
Nice to see a working economy, from a place that is rapidly declining. 🇺🇲 🤮
Really like this new format and driving experience of freight! It seems so relaxing! Not so noisy either... very peaceful!... thank you!!!!
Incredible! Love the snow, the streetlights and the ambience. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
This is one of the best channels on UA-cam.
I know I'm going to love this. Can't believe you found the time to do it! You're amazing.💓
It is in scenes like this the BMPCC and your colorcorrecting really shines. GoPro can go eat a bun :P Great video!!
I completely agree! Grading this one was quite a challenge but I think I was able to make it look as realistic as it can get :)
Oh wow this is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
So relaxing
Thank you, glad you liked it :)
Love this winter night video--very relaxing. So glad you are still with us and still making these wonderful videos. Thank you RCG.🙏💖😌
So glad you like it :D I have one in the making soon that will feature more winter night, more winds and more snow :D Right now I'm working on a video that goes from Ål to the freight terminal in Oslo
I’m so glad you’re back! Love your beautiful videos. 🙏🏼
Настоящая зимняя сказка!!!
С приветом из Перми!!!
Thank you so much for watching!
Merry Christmas RCG thanks for the present and its great to see you back again without missing a best.
Very nice video. Enjoy seeing some of the other tracks at Bergen.
Now this is well worth waiting for RCG 🤗 Great to have you back. I agree the sound is much better in this train. I assume that previously, it was the ventilation system blowing past the mic?
no, locomotive air compressor
Absolutely a Beautiful Idea, brought to LIFE. Thank You.
You are so welcome!
Welcome back! It's great to see in the cab of a train again, even if it's the loco of a freight consist. Thank you so much for the video!! It is a new perspective on the Bergen line. I hope you have a super Christmas and the New Year holds lots of promise for you. Thanks again!
Great to see you again with a whole set of new rules. Hope you are enjoying this step you took.
So glad to see your back , great video as usual!!
As a new and older viewer (2nd vid seen, and I was on a 1st name basis with the last wholly mammoth), I didn't know how excited to get about this video. Let me tell you, at my age... well, just getting ducky bumps outta me as you did could be called a miracle. The scenes reminded me of my youth in Hamburg, New York... back when people would bet on the year for the End of the Ice Age. Also, why I never returned -- too Cold & Snowy. None of that here and now, it could be added, but we do have trains and tracks and people who do that sort of thing. You do it well and record it. Super. Gracias por tu video. R.T. West sends... Puebla, México...
Thank you! I love going along for this ride.
Another great video to watch and certainly the freight operation has it's differences. Your video preparations are excellent with many thanks.
Welcome Back. This is another excellent video. Glad to see your new job is working out and that you enjoy it. Best of luck in the future and Merry Christmas!
The preview was breathtaking with all the lights sparkling in the darkness. I can hardly wait to head over the mountain, pass through Myrdal and on down through the new tunnel into the freight side of the Bergen station! Wow!
Good to see you back in the saddle RCG. Very nice video from the new seat - looking forward to many more.
Great to see you back! Congratulations on the new job. Your country is beautiful ! Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Very pretty scenery, must make it easy to go into work
A marvel... It looks like a movie set. Kristin, you are my favorite sandman. I travel every night to your cabin to have sweet dreams...
Thank you!
Well done RCG I'll enjoy this in two bites, hope the new job is going well.
Good to have you back.
Awesome video. The night runs are my favorites to watch 👍👍
Unbelievable what a dimension. Thank you.
Thanks, glad you liked it :)
She's back!! Beyond fabulous
Nice to see you again and with plenty of winter snow. I’m sure we will miss the vistas afforded in the daytime but night runs in winter here is special. Looks great, thanks
It's always been for me such a privilege to watching your videos, i can almost picture myself being in the cab, such is the excellent quality. Sometimes I confess I drift off to sleep so thankfully you are in control and not I. And now thanks to you I have experienced many journeys across Norway. Thank you so much.
A winter wonderland...at night! Great video.
Thank you :D Yes, but still, there is so little snow compared to what it should be
Especially enjoyed this one, RCG. Hoping here, that you are settling in nicely to the new routine. Looking especially forward to one of your rare but splendid rainy-day posts. My most cherished is "Local service run with rain and floods". Nothing anywhere in the YT universe comes close. One ASMR moment after another. Godspeed and, cheers.
Enjoying a lot. Thank you.
Good morning RailCowGirl !😀 Well I finally got the this video done .😇 That certainly a different arrival in Bergen for you and us.
I would like to wish you a Happy New Year.🥰 I hope this year is better for all of us...👍👍👍
Take care and be safe over there... :):):)
Thank you very much! And Happy New Year to you too! :D
Wow. Amazing vista and HDR lighting.
Safe and happy holidays
love the night trains - very relaxing whilst mysterious
thanks RCG - another excellent video
Thank you!
It reminds me of the train I rode when I enlisted in the military 20 years ago.
It didn't snow that much, but I got on the train on a cold night.
I remember the face of my father, who wiped the tears for the first time in his life.
It's a different place and different environment, but it's a good video that makes you think about some memories in your heart.
Congrats with the first freight video. Its ....... awsome. ❤❤. As other has mentioned, you have raised the bar again.
Also very nice to say hello to you once in a while at work on the railroad. Freight trains suits you and you suits freight trains 🤩🤩
I don't know if this is just a better camera for night or brighter headlights on the freight locomotives, but the picture is nice and clear and bright. This is a real treat running at night in the snow.
Better camera and slightly better lights on the loco
Hello RCG i am glad to see that you are back on tracks personally and on the locs your driving now. I am glad to see a new video from your work as a freight train drive now. I wish you all the best in this new job and also for the next couple off weeks. (Christmas, New Year) Harry
So happy to see this video! The quality is amazing as usual, and I hope you are enjoying your new job. I know the transition is not easy. I also started a new job this year.
Thank you :D I truly love the new job. Been a while since I felt so much joy and amusement :D This was a a really good move :D
Thank you! Keep calm and carry on!
beautifull landscape ! it s magical, thanks for sharing !
Thank you so much for watching!
This is one of my favorites! Thank you so much for this
Yaaay :$ so fkad you liked it! ❤️
Funny machinist in the Fiinse Tunnel !
Ahaha - I appreciated the "shave and a haircut, two bits" honking routine at the high point in the Finse tunnel. :D And now I know why this engine sounds different in the tunnels - it's moving significantly slower than the passenger train...for a good reason, I'm sure. The driver at Reimegrend - LOL!
Watching a lovely warm winter night video like others on a cold winter night of Norway.Thanks.Greetings from Turkey. ☃️🚂💙🙋♂️
Thank you so much!
Still one of my favorites.
Congratulations on your new job moving freight it’s an admirable profession and your video is wonderful. Merry Christmas train driver.
I was watching the Finse cam and was surprised to see a FLIRT come into the station at 2014 from the west and stay about 5 minutes letting off passengers then continue east. I thought that the FLIRTs didn't venture this far east from Bergan.
Well, I can tell you why. The change in schedules and train times in December, called R22, spawned two new departures from Oslo and Bergen. But due to a introduction of a new carriage, rebuilt old IC7 german wagons, Vy encountered a series of problems. Now they've decided to run with FLIRTS in the new departures to get time to remove the bugs encountered.
Very strange to see such short freight trains, here in the US trains run 1 to 2-1/2 miles long and in most cases have a DPU (Distributed Power Unit) close to the center of the train to provide additional air pressure and prevent a lot of excessive push/ pull pressure on the couplings. Good camera work as always, you have been able to get your camera settings right on the mark. I hope your enjoying your new job.
Have a look at Revelstoke BC virtual railfan live the trains are massive, when they go by there seemingly no end in sight.
Hello dear RailCowgirl! I am very glad that your new video has been released. At the beginning, "Leaving Serengeti" sounded and my heart rejoiced) I try not to be too romantic, but the pictures of the northern winter night are so beautiful! Thanks!
