If you grew up a Disney channel kid in the '90s, chances are you've seen at least one episode of Boy Meets World. If you were one of those kids, the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo 2023 is the place too be, as stars Danielle Fishel (Topanga), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), William Daniels (Mr. Feeny), Trina McGee (Angela Moore), and Bonnie Bartlett (Dean Bolander) take to the main stage to look back on the show's three-decade-long legacy, share stories from filming, Danielle's thoughts on Topanga's academic path, and it's even a very special someone's birthday!

Seeing the actora now made me cry especially him Knowing he sadly does have much time left it's hard tot hink abt also seeing the person who played Eric I mean big changes really.
it should never be a bad thing , we all age , but the lucky ones are not only able to live to his age , but still be active like he is. hes extremely lucky to live the life he does.
I can't believe he and his wife, actress Bonnie Bartlett who played Dean Lile Borlander on Boy Meets World, are still alive at 96 and 94, respectively, and have been married for 72 years.

I did not realize that was his wife in life! I just figured out she was Tim the Toolmans mom too! Wow. Glad to see they both are still with us. With only having 5 channels to choose from, I looked forward to Friday nights to watch this show growing up.

every single time i watch that episode im able to hold it together.... UNTIL like EVERY SINGLE TIME they show danielle hug william with tears in her eyes and like clock work the same happens to me... and i just absolutely LOSE it every time after when he says this line. the love for this show i have can never be explained but its forever the most special piece of fiction to me forever. they WERE running multiple episodes at the morning and at night. like starting at 930 central am and 11 pm.. but unfortunately now its the simpsons that play the night slot as of a few weeks ago.. but i still make sure to watch every episode till 1230 while i do my work. idk just feels so nostalgic to sit there and watch it on cable like i did when i was a kid

Men, the final episode of Boy meets World...I still remember like it was yesterday when he said that line. I was crying so much. I even went and wrote that last line in my journal so I could always remember 😂😂😂 little did I know how internet was going to turn out and how it would be there to plunge down memory lane.

He may be 96 but that captivating voice is still there.

Not everyone grows up with the ideal childhood, with parents around to teach you life lessons.
Mr. Feeny was always someone who gave me comfort, and I found taught me many life lessons, on how to be a respectful, and kind person. I don’t know what I would do or how I would have turned out without finding Boy Meets World on the tv as a kid.

Other than that, I grew up watching and listening to this guy my whole life. Seeing him as Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World, or listening to him as KITT on Knight Rider (my first and favorite show by the way). Its always been a dream of mine to meet William Daniels, but unfortunately I don't think that will ever happen, either.
I know he was in other shows (St. Elsewhere, Galactica, etc). I should really catch up on his film history.

I remember watching some movie in my social studies class back in the mid 00s.

William Daniels will forever be ", Mr. George Feeny" to me had the opportunity to meet him he was an absolute delight, yes I do know him as " K.I.T" as well but like I said earlier
Frankly I wished during the run of Girl Meets World, they did a what would’ve essentially been a 3 part BWM episodes where Mr. Feeny dies and it’ll end with Cory talking to Mr. Feeny’s grave and eventually Feeny’s ghost pops up and have a conversation with him.
Eventually it’ll end with Cory hugging ghost Feeny and Cory thanking him for being there and being his mentor while growing up.
Basically marking the end of that era.
Or alternatively, this is hugely cliche, but what they could do is show us that Feeny had to go to the hospital due to some what thought were minor complications and that he was going to be okay.
Then later on when everybody seem to be doing something, Cory seems very distant to everyone except for Feeny which is the only person he seems to be talking to after the hospital.
Then close to the end of the 3rd parter, we see Cory sitting on a bench at a park with Feeny having a conversation. After giving Feeny the hug and thanking him for being his mentor and that he will never forget him, he suddenly hears his mom calling his name and asking if he’s okay.
The camera turns to his family and he was, then she tells him to walk with them.
Then we’ll see them walking towards what was actually not a park but a cemetery. Turns out that Feeny had never made it out of the hospital and Cory had difficulty accepting his death.
We end the 3 part episodes with the camera zooming in on his and his wife’s grave being beside each other and Cory crying.
Then they end the episode with the end credits. Now with the end credit, they could go with either one of these 3 ways:
1) Just silence, no music, no sound, no nothing, just a moment of silence for one of most iconic TV teachers ever.
2) Do a montage of the most iconic moments Feeny had with every member of the original casts while the credits roll in the corner somewhere.
3) We hear Cory, Eric, Topanga and Shawn to say something involving appreciating him being their mentor while they grew up since they’re the original kids of the show. But end it with Cory (since he is the protagonist on the BMW and semi-main protagonist on GMW) giving his speech last.
Yes, that would have been so cool.

Mr Feeny to me was my father figure. He raised me basically. I wish so much I could tell him how much of an impact he had on me as a youth and even still to this day. I catch myself all the time using his wisdom in my own life and smile knowing who I got it from. As a 25 year old so much of his wisdom is ingrained in me. Like wen a son realizes he’s just like his father. I am just like Mr Feeny. Bless his heart 💞

This shows how impactful and effective William Daniel’s performance of Mr. Feeny was. People might forget that he had a very successful career prior to the role but he is also responsible for teaching and (unbeknownst to him for a while) nurturing a whole generation of kids. ❤️🙏🏽

I am a teacher and have been for 21 yrs. Not that I'm trying to toot my own horn, but I have been fortunate to have taught children of students I taught years before. I have also been able to work with prior students. I have one class that means a ton to me, and they call me their Mr. Feeny. I take it with great honor and am humbled by that. Thank you, Mr Feeny, for being there.
