William Daniels agreed to the role only on the condition they re-tool the character from a goofy-unattentive teacher to a more serious role. Was probably one of the more defining moments because he's now got an entire generation of kids that are grateful he did and learned more from him than alot of our real teachers in life.
You clearly didn't see the video of behind scenes development into disney shows. It revealed william daniels had his own conditions before accepting the role of feeny which disney eventually met to connect with the world.
I was lucky to have a Mr.Feeny like teacher when I was in high school and through college. When I was feeling down after I didn't do well on my ACT (I scored a 17) and thought I would never get to college, he told me that what I needed to do was not prepare myself for college but prepare myself for life, numbers don't equal success. He then told me to take two years off and work full-time after high school and well he was right. Next time I took for my entrance and I scored a 28. He has stood by me all the time and pushed me to be the man I am today.
They need to re air this show, there were so many valuable genuine life lessons taught in this show. Lessons society seems to be sweeping under the rug more and more lately
This show ignored every archetype of the modern comedy: the dad isn't a bumbling buffoon, the mom isn't a boorish nag, the teacher isn't a checked out loser, the older brother isn't the source of envy, the girlfriend isn't shallow. And yet, it stands perfectly well on its comedic merits while also being probably the most impactful kids show of the 1990s.
I’m so glad I came of age during the run of this wonderful show. This along with other classics like Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Home Improvement, Full House, Saved By The Bell etc. When kids could watch shows with their parents that they’d both enjoy. Shows that taught real valuable moral lessons. Todays kids watch the Kardashians. We are not the same! So happy I grew up before humanity started marching backwards. Boy Meets World was always my favorite though. The excitement id get to watch TGIF every week! I always wanted to be funny like Eric, cool like Shawn, and have a heart like Corey’s. I still strive for that. Such a great time to be a kid.
All the shows you listed hit home so hard. We really had it good. We could watch these shows with our parents as a family while learning and laughing together. ✌️🥲👍
I didn't do well in school. I was a perfect student until 4th grade, after my granddad passed away and I was struggling in my home life. My 4th grade teacher wouldn't let us eat lunch or use the restroom. If we fidgeted too much she would make us take off our belts (uniforms) and would strap it around our chests and the chair. She told me I wouldn't be anything special and would never be good at math so she wasn't going to waste either of our time teaching me. She wasn't fired for another 2 years. My parents pulled me out of the school, but not in time. I struggled every day after that because the rest of my teachers wrote me off as well. Had it not been for Mr. Feeny, I don't know if I would have even made it. But I kept hoping for a teacher like him to come along. They never did, but he got me through with hope.
Mr feeny wasn't your normal typical teacher. He was the best teacher and taught us all. The wisdom he shared was unmatched. "You don't have to be blood to be family".
Even though this was a TV Show, Mr. Feeny inspires me to teach again. That joy of delivering lessons to children who want to learn. Oh how joyful that feeling is. I was one of the lucky refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp to be employed by WFF through UNHCR as a teacher. I was teaching grades 1 and 5. We had to double-work because there were no enough teachers by then. What an experience though, especially with the ever-yelling class 1. I never had experience handling those awesome kids so I appealed to my headmaster so he could hire someone more tender, because those kids just broke my heart and I had no training to handle them but in a refugee Camp, we do whatever we can to help each other but those kids were too much for me. I never spank my students but I was obliged to do it at Fuji Academy in Kakuma Refugee Camp. They were fighting in grade 5 class while I was writing lessons on the backboard, and this was 2002 and the yelling started, thanks to my female students. I turned around and these two boys were wrestling pushing desks around and everyone jumped on their desks to avoid them. 5 wops each is what I gave them and sat them down after class. I never involved the headmaster. I was beaten as a kid, even by miscalculating a mathematical equation, you get a bang in the bud, fingers or head. Ever been shared by two mean teachers, one on either side of you with a kiboko(Swahili word. Look it up) so sharp your appetite goes away for a day or two, but still we always love our teachers the next day.
4:044:08 I wish someone had said stuff like that to my boss the day she belittled me. She said she didn’t think I could do a coffee service alone and was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen". And then she told me l need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. I bet she would've been embarrassed if a guest had caught her condescending me. She's so friendly with guests, hypocritically.
my mother was a teacher for over 40 years so I can't really compare but there is only one Mr. Fenny he never wasn't teaching not just school stuff but about everything life love growth
I find it strange how many Gen Z'rs know Daniels better as Feeny....not realising he was the voice of KITT in the original Knight Rider. I will always see him as a black T-Top trans am😉
A great teacher is just Mr. Feeney, because sometimes, we students can be cunning...and only God knows how those cunning students are leading our World today in 2023.
You guys think it would've worked out, Eric taking the test without cheating? After all, the lesson here is we shouldn't label and underestimate the guy. It'd be a little ironic if the outcome was what Tori anticipated.

That's not true. Feeny was always meant to be this
You clearly didn't see the video of behind scenes development into disney shows. It revealed william daniels had his own conditions before accepting the role of feeny which disney eventually met to connect with the world.
he taught me more than my teacher ever tried to.
Shoot Mr. Feeny taught me more than my parents lol

That's wonderful. This world needs more teachers like that!

Mr.Feeny is one of the best TV Teachers that I have ever seen!!!

One of the most morally good characters in any show ever.

The world needs more teachers like George Feeny.
I'm trying to be that type of teacher but it's so damn hard when the career field is so politicized.
@@shawn3363 hang in there
I met William Daniels at the 2023 Motor City Comic Con on May 19th. He was the sweetest person I've ever met.
This man was more of a father to me than my own father. I wish I could meet him just once and say thank you.
Everything you need to know about life is wrapped up in this tv show...
As a teacher, I always to inspire myself like him to my students. Even though he is fictional.
If only i had a feeny. And a Topanga 😭😭😭😭
LET'S LIGHT THIS CANDLE!!! 😂
People thought Mr. Feeny was a boring teacher but he did give out the best advice I will want him as my teacher
Bless this man. 🙏
I’m from Kensington Philly and I call the zombies Mr Fiendys 😂😂😂

Change the title to mr fenny being the fucking best teacher/ father figure for 16 minutes straight.
13 minutes that rings even more true today.
It's always nice to be taught by KITT
I find it strange how many Gen Z'rs know Daniels better as Feeny....not realising he was the voice of KITT in the original Knight Rider. I will always see him as a black T-Top trans am😉
11:35 best scene ever!
Mr Feeny is basically Mark Craig without all the nonsense that made Mark Craig insufferable.
He’s my 3rd favorite character after Shawn and Eric
Mister feeny is the best teacher
Edit: i always wanted him to be my teacher
Nice job
