- Hey guys so I've had a few people ask me to test out the repco Eclipse brand on the channel so I decided to pick up a few of their products starting with their snow foam called hyper foam.
hopefully you enjoy the video. - Авто та транспорт
I appreciate your review. I like to have a number of different foams to choose from depending on what I want to achieve. I have been looking for one a little more alkaline for heavy cleaning and noticed that Repco have this on special for $20.60 as of August 2023 and so I am going to pick some up this weekend on the strength of your review. I watch a lot of detailing videos from the US and Canada and it is a bit frustrating that only a few of the products are available here. The great thing about your channel is that you are testing Australian available product and you do a good job at your reviews.
Thanks mate I appreciate the kind words
I really like the repco buckets and lids 👌
Yes me too i just picked up a third one
Been waiting for some reviews of the repco range, great video and looking forward to more
Thanks mate yep hoping to test a few more
Great video. I am impressed. Thank you
Thanks Michael
Well I picked up 10 litres for $33, that is a good deal. Good review. Good to see some local AU specific content.
What a score 😲
Wow that's a bargain
I love the hyper foam. Been using it since it came out.
Definitely a great foam at a great price
Used it on my vehicle and didnt leave it on for long and it come up really nice. This was only for a test and no touching wash. Great to know it has an even more of an effect if left on left to run !!
Thanks for sharing
New video. Thank you 👍😁
Thanks Ian
Just got the 2 litre myself I’ve used armour all budget crap hopefully this is a lot better finish then what I’ve used in the past even general car wash stations the foam doesn’t really do much when left to sit and actually eat at the dirt so hoping this and my 1800
Gerni with snow foam
Attachment works wonders but also in saying that I do a hand scrub too and then use a chamois
I started using Hyper Foam recently for both pre-wash and contact wash, really happy with it, so I ordered a 5L bottle online, click & collect it at my nearest Repco a few days ago for $17.60. I ordered 2 more 5L bottles today and it was still available. So anyone who wants to get some should be able to order it online. This clearance end tomorrow the 28th.
It won't let me order unfortunately as it just says none in stock. I might try again now
@@EvolvedDetailsSorry to hear that, it must be out of stock at your location. I tried random Melbourne and Brisbane postcodes, and both showed no stock. I'm in Sydney and it is available at every Repco near me, ordered early morning, and was ready for collection by mid-day.
Interesting video mate. Cheers
Thanks mate
Looks like a good product and great price too
I'm pretty impressed with it especially at the price point
Bang for buck snow foam
Definitely
Repco have the Hyper 5 liter for $17.60 on clearance, worth picking it for the price.
Yeah unfortunately it won't let me buy any as there's none at any of my local stores, otherwise I'd stock up on it
Thanks for getting the ceramic polish keen to see that video. I have been using this stuff for a while now good to know the ph I wasn't aware of that although my cars are pretty thrashed by the time I get to clean them usually 3 months. I use it and the ceramic polish spray seems to have pretty good longevity. Use it on my wife's prius and my fried egg 911
Yeah it's not a huge deal if the cars not washed weekly and for your situation is pretty much ideal. Will hopefully get a video on the ceramic polish out soon.
Love the fried egg 911s and nearly bought one a few years back
@@EvolvedDetails I managed to pick up a manual coupe with 80000kms 5 years ago when prices weren't as silly as they are now it's a great car haha I don't miss my mx5
Wow definitely hold onto that one
Can I use this on mu hilux just cover it and rinse off no mitt or anything? I don't wanna scratch my paint
You could but it likely won't clean the best without agitation
Ct18 for a heavier dirt wash or this for a less stronger
I would be interested to know if it does strip any spray sealants.
It wouldn't strip a fresh sealant or anything but is stronger than a PH neutral wash so will break down at the sealant quicker if used regularly
How do you connect it to a ryobi pressure washer
You likely have to get an different adapter. Bowdens sell them to suit different pressure washers.
I changed mine over to use quick connects though
Hello, Great video! I just want to ask what model Pressure washer you are using? And what kind of hose did you use for your pressure washer gun? Did you us any adaptors? Because I can't find a longer hose for my Ryobi pressure washer, i only have the 5 meter one
. Thanks for any recommendations.
Hi mate I'm just using the cheap one arr bunnings it was around $160 but they've gone up in price.
I bought their now discontinued 8 metre hose and then got an ebay short gun and adapters.
If you check out magic mobile detailing in Australia they'll be Voe to sell you a kit adapters
Managed to get a 5l last week from a store nearby. Was only about $5 for delivery. Might be getting harder to find. Maybe try some smaller town stores.
Oh nice I'll definitely try to get some if they'll deliver to me
I've been using TW Max power for strip washes, but it's good to know there's another option on the shelves. Can this be used as a wash as well as a foam?
I haven't used any turtle wax foams but might have to try it out.
I didn't try and use it as a wash and just foamed it but might try it next time
@@EvolvedDetails it doesn't foam well, but is a solid strip wash with adjustable pH.
Have you got a filtration system for the water to stop water spots when doing a contactless wash or is the air blower that effective?
No I don't if I bring the car into the garage after rinsing I can dry without water spots but in direct sunlight it will definitely get the spots.
I do plan on getting a water filtration system soon though
I don't often go to repco as I'm more of an Autobarn shopper but might have to drop in and get some of this as at that price it's a bargain especially when on sale
They have a great range of detailing products and actually stock some of the Gyeon range so well worth checking out
Repco has been pretty good lately with sales and they have a bigger range than Autobarn.
Yeah I have started sticking to mainly Repco when I want to get some retail products, plenty of sales and there's a Repco Max 20 mins away where they have a huge range
So what's the difference between something like this and a pH neutral ones?
Non PH will generally be a bit stronger cleaning wise but also not as safe on waxes and sealants with regular use
