The style and models really hit that nostalgia spot. Something that has been lost through, although understandably, the track of time. And it’s great to see a company go all-in. Love the small scale videos you do.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought I’d gone back to the 80’s….I just had to watch! I love the vintage boxes and painting on these miniatures and the rules look like what a certain other company should have done (ain’t hindsight beautiful?), but never did. Will be checking these rule and minis out! Thanks for the heads up on this company….I had never heard of them till now! ❤
would really like to see this played. I am more of a grognard when it comes to rules. I like a little more crunch than Kings of War. As far as 10mm fantasy, WARMASTER is really the gold standard for me. The tactics of movement and command work so good at this scale. It is such a good system and the people keeping it alive are doing a great job. Forest Dragon makes the absolute best printable minis in the business even far surpassing the official minis.
From what I know Argatoria unfortunately is very random and decisions don't count as much as dice rolls. If you really like crunchy rules that get you control randomness, offer deep toolbox that lets you be creative and reward overcoming a steep learning curve with an incredibly high skill ceiling, I recommend Warmachine. It's demanding but so intellectually rewarding when you come up with great, out of the box solutions.
Man, I'm getting 1988 GW Epic vibes. I have to agree, they hit the "old school" feel right on the nose with the sculpts and the box art. I still have older games like Hero Quest and Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel and that box art alone makes me think of when those games came out, or old GW army boxes. Especially with the green bases.

Interesting timing as I started looking into 10mm just two days ago!
I love models at this scale, Spellcrow have some truly characterful sculpts (looking forward to the minos). If I had any complaint, its that there are not enough poses within a unit. Also, I will say the models look much better when based on the thin Renedra bases, instead of the chunky citadel style bases.
I appreciate that this is an infomercial but it would be nice to see a bit more of a how to make that scale of terrain or basing since the scale is finer.
Models look truly awesome, hard to believe they are 10 mm! I would just like to mention MicroWorld games - in my opinion the best 3mm and 6mm big army fantasy miniatures.
Glad to see the small scale stuff you got a while ago coming to the front. I got the void scar miniatures From Ashes stuff from seeing it on your video. :)
Looks cracking this - nice to know they have a rule set but tbh these are of interest just for the models as these could be used for so many things. Think I'll be checking these out. Nice one matey.
I love spellcrow models and bits. Them and kromlech are basically the ones i got for when i want a conversion done with old style. Lovem to death and i support both as much as i can even tho some models are really expensive but nowdays you just can’t find something done from gw that has so much personality
The fact this resin is half the price of elegoo and any cubic resin and more durable, you can take my money I’ve gone through one bottle and just ordered 3 more
Wow I really love the look of this. It reminds me of when I was a kid looking at all those old WFB minis my parents would never get for me lol now if I only had friends to play with..
Spellcrow seem like great people. I ordered some emperors children bits and others and I got legit a full bag of free bonus bits and like 3 figures of various scales with it. That is just amazing to me. Now I would say that the sculpts they have for 40k at this point do seem a bit retro, but the quality is so good. I hope they come out with more updated ones (Like for example the bits are more for old school space marines then the new ones)
Amazing looking minis, I'm not really a Fantasy player I prefer sci-fi but I may pick some up just for painting. Love the fact they have an army of you - you know the ones I mean!
How the world act strange, yesterday i suddenly had an urge to find a smaller wargame and now you have done this video. Thank you sir, i will try to get this game to sweden.
Nice video, Luke. I'm a fan of 10mm stuff in general (even tho I haven't actually painted any yet!) and this game looks very interesting. The other game I've heard about is Warband by Pendraken - don't know if you've ever seen their stuff!
If you want cheap 10mm fantasy, take a look at Pendraken's 10mm fantasy range. Less crisp than the ones shown here, but they cover all the traditional fantasy races and are decent enough sculpts.
This looks interesting but having only four army boxes which end up being two different barbarian and lizardmen armies kinda limits my interest. The Sheol-morg look good but they have no army box, limited individual units, and aren't even mentioned in the introduction brochure that I could see. I'll circle back on this game when there are more army options with full model selections.
Pretty cool! But, I'm not gonna burn my fingers again ordering stuff from the UK to NL. Love the oldskool vibes! Will we see a painting vid with these from you too?
I've been looking for a good 10mm or 6mm range. This doesn't look like my cup of tea unfortunately (too cartoony) but I am glad companies are branching out of the 28mm realm and try other things.
10mm... all mine come from Pendraken, Magister Militum or Irregular Miniatures. Kallistra do 12mm which can still be used. Nice to see a game looking good.
i really really love 10mm, hope to see if i can get them to mexico

The details on the resin models are impressive but the price is quite high compared to metal miniatures of other companies. The rules are quite interesting though and the price of the pdf is hard to beat!
I had seen the battle report a few weeks ago. In that video they say the game, currently, has only one ranged unit. Does having close to zero ranged units take away from the game experience?
Any chance for US distribution at some point? I'd love to get in to a game like this (I miss Epic 40k) but I don't see many decent options in the US that don't involve 3D printers.
I will def check the rules out, but honestly with the rise in 3d printers, 10mm sculpts can be very very good (check out forest dragon's 10mm line) and it's almost a shame that more companies aren't providing rules and STL files and removing the burdon of stocking/shelving/shipping/promoting stuff like this.
Only downside is the English version of their manuals are atrocious when it comes to grammar mistakes. Buyer beware, maybe wait for a revised edition and just grab the PDF
Luke, Totally respect sponsored content but this didn’t highlight gameplay, army types, scenic terrain styling…anything really. Nor can I find the links to the game or the other UA-camr channel which was mentioned. I’m not going to downvote as that would throw your numbers (by one) but I want to. The slow paced voice over felt metered to conform to minimum timestamp algorithm, goodness. Coupled with the lack of true contain made me pen this post. Love you stuff but not going to endorse emptiness.

Thanks for the Shout-out
I keep meaning to check this game out, it has such a classic, saturated fantasy vibe that hits just right
just play bnattletech
@@thedicemustroll1339that’s not fantasy though

Spellcrow is a fantastic company! Happy to see you supporting them. :)
Ironically, I just picked up a stack of Amazons and Barbarians last week from my FLGS's clearance shelf. Definitely planning on ordering more.

Oh man this is awesome! I think the Bard would love this!

It’s nice to see small companies getting a shoutout and recommendations

I really like the thing Spellcrow is doing here. Really all in. Cool rules and minis. Hope to see it more, too.
This is a really great game. It is super refreshing after all those years with games workshop products.
Minis look great! Gonna have to check these rules out. Cheers Luke!
I have a few 28MM miniatures from spellcrow. Wonderfull sculpts, great cast and outstanding price range.
I can recommend.
Glad to see the small scale stuff you got a while ago coming to the front. I got the void scar miniatures From Ashes stuff from seeing it on your video. :)

I'm way too young to have grown up with this kind of box art photography and text styled but I absolutely love it
Back when they showed the miniature well painted and no added images to take away from them. Much better product style in my opinion.
The fact this resin is half the price of elegoo and any cubic resin and more durable, you can take my money I’ve gone through one bottle and just ordered 3 more

Wow this looks fun! Would love to get these in the US!
awesome vid. I'm glad you got to try out the game and show us some stuff. I was looking forward towards you series on small scale games.
These look very cool. Might have to delve into 10mm.
Cheers Luke , Nice advert , game looks kewl .

I'd love to see more about this game! Maybe also a battle report
thanks for the info. I have been wondering what this game was about and your review has helped. Looks like fun.
You peeked my interest, now you should do a battle report :)
Thanks for the insight. It looks amazing. That said, “roll low” mechanics always seem wrong to me. I’ve also heard their are no missile units…?
Pretty cool! But, I'm not gonna burn my fingers again ordering stuff from the UK to NL. Love the oldskool vibes! Will we see a painting vid with these from you too?
is it just me or do the boxes remind me of the GW Regiments of Renown, or some of the Grenadier boxes
this is pretty cool. im not going to lie. the sets are pretty expensive in canada though
oh thats got a lovely nostalgic feel to it!
I've been looking for a good 10mm or 6mm range. This doesn't look like my cup of tea unfortunately (too cartoony) but I am glad companies are branching out of the 28mm realm and try other things.

Buying for the box art alone !
I'd love a sci-fi version of this.
One of the Barney's still has a purple tounge 😁
Looks fun
Looks interesting, you still go to wakefield warriors? looks a bit like classic warhammer fantasy battles but smaller less drawn out lol
Looks great
It's really attractive. I'm looking over their website while watching your vid. I'm US based. :( I hope this game takes off!
WHFB brought back to life!
What is the optimal table size ? I assume 6x4 (180x120)?
Edit: I bought the rules. They suggest 150 cm x 90 cm (~5x3 american) or larger.
I bough some models too and its just as you said, they great in that nmice old school vibe.
i really really love 10mm, hope to see if i can get them to mexico

Green base rims? That's nostalgic. Also, FIRST!
This looks cool! Is it miniatures agnostic or do I have to buy their minis? I’ll buy it today if I don’t have to invest in more minis lol
I had seen the battle report a few weeks ago. In that video they say the game, currently, has only one ranged unit. Does having close to zero ranged units take away from the game experience?
Really sounds like you're reading a script haha. Minis look cool!
Oh hey, Dwarf Pyro Killers :)
i always roll the wrong numbers on a dice doesnt matter if i need high or low numbers
I hope this gets a lot of interest!
my bank would like to file a complaint
Any chance for US distribution at some point? I'd love to get in to a game like this (I miss Epic 40k) but I don't see many decent options in the US that don't involve 3D printers.
It looks fun, I wish they weren’t resin I prefer metal much stronger.
Looks good how can I get the rules in English but not on PDF
Was this just a long sponsor?

The minis are q bit to old styled for me, but maybe the rules are my thing. Guess will take a look at it.
That was the heroquest barbarian
You just made a convert.
sponsor vid
Can I get this in Canada?
Spellcrow have eleven distributors at USA. Look at website
Compared to, say, Pendraken's 10mm fantasy offerings in metal, I'm not sure of the value here.
What's with all of the pauses added in between sentences? was super unnerving to listen to..
Warmaster is the better 10mm game.
Where’s the “scenery” lately 🤔😥
Just watched a commercial...
Nah, Warmaster is pretty much perfect.
Bloody expensive....
Only downside is the English version of their manuals are atrocious when it comes to grammar mistakes.
Buyer beware, maybe wait for a revised edition and just grab the PDF
jesus... were you on something? so many pauses and talking soooo slow.... this is a 3 minute video if the text is spoken on at a normal human speed.
Looks 30 years old, and not in a good way sadly.

Looks rad.
