- In memory of my good friend, Rhyan, who sadly passed away during the making of this animation. He never saw its completion. He was a good friend of mine. He always supported my work and we always got on really well. It came as a complete shock when I'd heard the news of his death, and it really hit me hard. I never knew what he must have been going through, I just wish I could have done something to help him. So as a final goodbye to him, I dedicate this animation to his memory. RIP Rhyan. I really miss you, mate.
This is my animated recreation of the birth of the Dalek Paradigm from the 2010 Doctor Who story 'Victory of the Daleks'. This project took the longest to make out of all the animations I've done to date. It took only two days to animate, but then took six weeks to fully render. While it was a slow and tedious process, I think those six weeks were worth it and it became my favourite project I've done so far. I hope you all like it as much as I do!
This scene was made in Blender 2.93 and was rendered in the Cycles Render Engine and my first animation rendered in 4K resolution.
With thanks to David Nagel, Daniel Kennedy and Matt Umney for helping me get this project to where it is now. Without them, it wouldn't have turned out as well as it has.

@@TheLoneDalek2021 oh that I definitely look forward to 🙂
Lighting here..better than the show
Thanks! 👍🏻
@DalekFan05 I deliberately made it that dark. In the actual episode, it looked too bright. Darkness makes the first version of the Paradigm more menacing, we don't get quite as bright a view of their colours, (which isn't menacing at all, in my opinion). That was one of the things the later metallic versions did better, they were darker and they actually looked menacing because of it. Just a pity those ones were only used once briefly.
