Remembrance of the Daleks Imperial/Renegade Battle

- This is the first cut of my recreation of the Imperial and Renegade Daleks battle from the amazing Remembrance of the Daleks. I always felt that the battle was over way to quickly so i made this, it is based off the book of the story, which goes into more depth and detail of the battle.

It’s really interesting to see a visual version of this sequence as it’s described in the novel. I’m sure this is how it would have been in the actual story as well if they’d only had more budget.
and the time to get it made, Dr Who series were produced at breakneck speed, but yeah with very little money too.
The real event set off car alarms and shattered windows in the area, the police turned up thinking they had a terrorist event going off, and possibly the fire services too. Arriving just as the smoke was clearing revealing the Special weapons Dalek looking at them, so i've heard...
It was mentioned in the documentary on the Remembrance of the Daleks dvd.
I like how you gave both the Imperial and Renegade Daleks some Time War designs mixed with the originals. Makes me wonder what would happen if these factions still existed during the Time War going forward.
They would've been too busy tearing into each other to fight the Time War which would've kept the Time Lords and everyone else safe.
What if one side allied with the Time Lords and the other side recruited the Sontarans and Cybermen to their cause?

@@AnubisX1 Me too. You did a great job on this, also I really like the Imperial Dalek shuttle craft and Imperial Dalek Mothership models in CGI.
Now that was pretty badass especially when Special Weapons Dalek blew up the bus in order to wipe out the Renegade Daleks!
You got a thumbs up in a matter of seconds because I clicked this video only expecting to see a clip from Remembrance of the Daleks. This was a nice surprise when I'm in a very Remembrance mood.
The shuttle disembarking and shooting down to the U.K. at that head-on angle (which makes absolute sense), is amazing!
The Imperial Daleks' laser bolts really _ZING!_ too!! ⚡️(Though the percussive _bang!_ the Renegades' weapons made never fired my imagination much. Weird in this scene they used that different sound. I guess to differentiate the gunfire?)
This is genius. The updated special effects are gorgeous, love how you made the mothership look like the shuttle in the beginning, gives a real sense of design. Sound effects work perfectly, nothing looks too anachronistic, really really good job
To quote Mordred in a much later story... "Magnificent!"
Great stuff, excellent recreation of trotters lane in the 1980s er 1963 lol! Seriously, most battle sequences in classic series probably very short- the entire civil war at the end of The Evil of the Daleks was fit into the final ten minutes of epsiode 7

This so cool I love dalek civil wars especially remembrance of the daleks the fire power is so cool in the battles
It certainly makes things interesting to see Daleks fight each other and accuse one another of being impure abominations.

I quite agree the battle was way too short in typical Budget clenching BBC Style.

How did you do the dalek voice ?
I did the dalek voices in the audio software Reaper which comes with its own ring modulator. It isn't free but you can keep trialing it. So here is a tutorial on how to do the voice m.ua-cam.com/video/UbXT03puQFs/v-deo.html and to get the effect you want just play around with the frequency setting.
Now most people tend to use audacity with the killeringer plug in, which is completely free and there are tones of tutorials on UA-cam. The problem I have found with audacity is on modern computers with win 10, the killeringer plug in does not give you much control on the ring modulator effect.

Something about Dalek civil wars is appealing to me as you've got two logic but hate filled Dalek factions slugging it out over genetics and over who should rule the Daleks.
It also protects everyone else from the Daleks as they're too busy fighting each other to kill anyone else.
