I mean this is the thing, Daleks are supposed to have gotten rid of all emotions. But we know for a fact that Daleks will ALWAYS answer the destress calls of other daleks if they can. Some do still remain, and that dalek will have intelligence on the enemy the dalek hive mind needs retained. So this is completely on character for Dalek military operations and dalek society in general.

Brilliant animation!
Definitely think the elevator could use a bit more work, especially with telling us its an elevator, maybe showing the dalek going up?
And then of course it going down when the Xargamix are controlling it.
Edit: I take my comment back about the elevator, watched this on phone and everything was hard to see
