- Dalek Tales - The Dalek That Time Forgot - Part One
History is in peril, the crack in the universe is changing the very fabric of reality. Leaving earth the new paradigm see an opportunity which will lead one Dalek on its path to destiny. Dalek Caan the saviour of the Daleks..
Here it is guys I know I said end of June so I hope this is a nice surprise. Well enjoy leave comments and keep watching for part two due around Autumn.
Lee - Фільми й анімація
Ok 8 years later can I just say how mad it is that he predicted that Skaro would be saved from its destruction, and had a reason ffor it before the show even introduced that idea
Your late
Not just that it would be saved, but precisely how. We see the planet similarly shifted and hidden in "The Magician's Apprentice"
It was said in the audio dramas. The Hand of Omega destroyed Antalin, which was terraformed by the Daleks to make it look like Skaro.
@@user-dq9is6nx1w his what? His late?
🤣
@@user-dq9is6nx1w you're. Y O U ' R E. Jesus fucking christ, is there always gonna be one guy who can't spell?
This series is so underappreciated. I'm surprised more people don't know about it.
Too right. Who needs 'Class' when the Beeb could've had this?
Yeah
I'd have actually watched "DALEKS!" in the Time Lord Victorious thing if it looked like this instead
When a 10 year old home made cartoon has better animation, dialogue and story than current BBC dalek cartoons
You’re so right. I’m tired of modern WHO. Ncuti Gatwa is exciting and sexy but brightly exciting but dull and corporate
i like that you addressed the return of skarro since they say is was destroyed in "daleks in manhattan" and it just appears randomly in asylum of the daleks
***** no buts its made reference too
THe end up going to skaro with missy anyway
I never get that. The planet From the start was Skaro or Not? And why?
And the Asylum since when existid?
We just don't talk about any stories from journeys end - resolution. Makes better head cannon for me to preserve daleks as good villians
@@generalpork you mean all stories after that ?
The Daleks don't look goofy here! great job!
Hi there, Lee! After finishing your entire four-part animated Dalek story, just a few minutes ago, I honestly couldn't be more impressed with it all from the sublime CGI to the faithfulness of Nick Briggs' modulated voice. And before I forget, my friend told me yesterday about the green Dalek - such an awesome design!
Blue = strategist, green = geneticist, red = drone, orange = scientist...
Bri Blyden yellow = eternal
White= Dalek supreme
If there was a gray one then I’d call it Dalek Admiral
dale kcaan
I love the scientist one he is my favourite colour!!!😁
This story is absolute genius, really explains some plot anomalies and is just excellent, thanks so much.
Wow. This is really amazing, convoluted story only the Daleks could come up with.
The voices are really amazing, you'd give Nick Briggs a run for his job!
The animation is really very good as well, this sells the new Daleks a lot better than Victory of the Daleks did, just their size and how they move around seems more natural than the real thing.
Brilliant work.
You've done well here. The new Paradigm looks pretty damn impressive here.
This is incredible, you have nailed the voices! I hope we get to see the paradigm again.
Watched this for a second and third time, it is fast becoming one of my favourite Dalek stories! Excited to see Caan on Skaro in the city (if that's the focus) I love the idea on NSD's and MK1's mingling. If I could buy this on DVD I would!
Why aren't the new daleks being used anymore?
Please reply anyone!
Because everyone thought they looked crap and hated them. As a result, the BBC doesn't use them anymore. They were also big, unwieldy and difficult to operate. Fans of the programme have variously called them "Fatleks," "Shitleks," "Smarty Daleks" and "Power-Ranger Daleks." The are about as popular as Jar-Jar Binks.
Alan Stevens they will more than likely still be used as they cost so much to make, and the last time I visited the studio they had two there. I think if you see any parliament scenes or anything with high command they will be there for that. other than that you wont see them in battle which is a shame. if used right they could do a good job.
Lee Adams
First off, your video is very well made. Secondly, I would be very suprised if we ever see the Paradigm Daleks again, they appear to be unpopular with everyone, including Gatiss and Moffat. Thirdly, yes, they were quite expensive to make, but I heard that one of them got totally trashed during a transportation incident. And finally, if you get the angles right, they can look effective, but with the old Daleks they looked good from every possible angle.
oh thanks for the reply, it was on my mind.
Rohan Malik I've just been taking a look at the original concept art by Peter McKinstry for the Paradigm Daleks. I still don't think it's a patch on the bronze Daleks, but many of the design problems the Paradiigm Daleks suffer from were due to changes made during construction.
The big hump on their backs wasn't in the original design, and they were also much bigger than McKinstry intended, which, of course, makes the gun-arm and sucker-stick look too thin and spindly.
The problem was that no blue-prints were ever drawn up for the Paradigm design, with McKinstry's sketch being the only guide to what they should look like, which I must say, all sounds terribly amateurish.
Also, McKinstry's design had the Paradigm Daleks in much darker hues, not primary colours. Gatiss, who wrote "Victory of the Daleks" says that he originally wanted the colour coding to be black, red, gold and blue, and was very disappointed with the finished result.
There's some guy called Librarian-bot
on deviantArt who has taken the best aspects of the bronze Daleks and mixed them with elements taken from the Paradigm Daleks, muted the colours, corrected the proportions and has come up with something I think really works.
If we'd got something like this in 2010, then I think the Paradigm Daleks would have been an enormous success. Here's a link:
librarian-bot.deviantart.com/art/New-Paradigm-Dalek-Scientist-337844915
They should seriously give this guy a contract, but the BBC are so shit scared of messing with the Dalek design again, they'll go nowhere near it, which is a great pity.
This is the story of Dalek Caan's Adventure from the universe of Doctor Who.
This isn't just great dr who fare that's in some ways better than the real thing like attention to detail, self-consistency and clever plot from a fresh vantage point, but it's also way superior to most of those 'multi-award winning" sci-fi short films on UA-cam done by a bunch of people. I saw one by "DUST", the storyline of which can be summed up as: "A test pilot is thrown halfway across the universe where aliens see him and take him back to earth"; that's not a plot, that's a sentence and this is awesome.
Brilliant! Thanks so much for this. I enjoy a good Dalek romp and with the Moff saying they won't reappear this year I was suffering withdrawal symptoms. Excellent explanation for Skaro's survival, by the way.
Best animations ever I would seriously buy these if it was a show they brought to dvd.
I remember watching this years ago, still holds up really well for a fan animation!
I have watched these so many times. Truly stunning. Beautiful lifelike animation; vibrant colours. Storytelling that is totally on point; revealing more background to the NuWho Dalek story.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
this really should be in the dvd box set of drwho as an extra pleasure ,,alot of dalek fans out there
It wont im just happy the BBC haven't pulled it, but its been watched and gained support from many of the people at the BBC so that's something :)
wow well done
These are absolutely brilliant! Any person would think this was done by the BBC! The animation is spot, and the voices are no different from that of the show! Keep it up!
This is pure legendary work ! it gave me butterfliesss i love the daleks so much !!!! i look forward to more of your work !
This was truly amazing, the story is so well blended with the actual Doctor Who storylines. And the Voices are Spot on (unlike many fanmade videos). Really enjoyed it and can't wait for part 2!
Really brilliant!
I really like how the Eternal didn't speak throughout the entire video, adds to his enigmatic nature, I think.
that was...perfect!
You got the voices, dialogue, sound everthing utterly spot on! Love it!!
Fabulous.....can't wait for part two. Many thanks indeed!
This is truly. Amazing. I grinned the whole part.
This is fantastic! Just read about it in DWM and am now really excited about Part 2. Great Work.
Wow! I actually thought when i saw the trailer that this would be about Dalek Caan going through the crack to get into the Time War, thus taking Davros and creating The Dalek Empire from Series 4, allowing the course of events to set up the paradigms creation, but youve gone one hell of a step further! I hope you have some explanation on how Caan gets into the war. I was a bit miffed it wasnt explained properly =/
Great stuff though. Hope you do more prequels like this to other Dalek stories!
EEeeee! The little-tor-thingie looks like a mini Dalek, how adorable!
Fantastic!, don't stop making these this is very high quality, love it.
You are one talented guy!
Im sooooooo impressed! Absolutely and totall excellent!!!
WELL DONE!!!!!
This is brilliant - well done! Love the voices!
Wow, this is genius and your dalek voice is spot on!
Lee, your animations are nothing short of spectacular! Fantastic professional productions!!
My god.......real music, nearly spot on voices to the real thing.........this is insanely good!
Fantastic stuff. Marvelous work. I can't compliment it enough.
Bugger it! I've commented before but this is amazing Lee thanks.
WOW! I have to say I'm well impressed. The animation is superb! I'm gonna watch it again!
While watching the animated Dalek series for Time Lord victorious I could only think about these videos.
That most burn that the fan animation from 2010/11 looks better.
Thanks looked at your audio adventure it's awesome, thanks for the reply can't wait...
Words cannot describe how amazing this mini-series is! This is the Daleks at their finest, and the suspense at times... Goodness me. It also gives the New Paradigm the story they deserve, plus it deals with some rather messy plot holes in both 'Victory of the Daleks' and 'Asylum of the Daleks'. As far as I'm concerned, this is canon. Chirp
That was incredible! Impressive piece of work! You have a great future...
Great graphics. Thanks for your hard work.
Gotta love how this matches up with the wictches familiar and the magicians apprentice
Wow, this is so very well done! Probably my favorite Doctor Who video on UA-cam as if right now.
This was fantastically well designed - even the Paradign Daleks don't seem as annoying as they used to! Love the idea of Daleks affecting their own history - and I'm interested given what the Dalek Supreme said that the original Skaro Daleks might appear in the next episode! Looking forwards to the next installment! :)
Such a brilliant series! A must for whovians to watch
This is absolutely bloody MARVELLOUS!
Awesome! Love the new Dalek Paradigm!!!!!!!!!!
It's like the Time Lords sending the Doctor to Skaro in Genesis of the Daleks, except its a Dalek version, Impressive work and story!
Bloody brilliant! Well done
I hope the BBC have seen this and taken note of the potential you have mate, we love this work!!!
Wonderful stuff, the voices and animation are so impressive. I remember watching this as a teenager and thinking it was a canon production - and to be honest, I wouldn't be against this becoming an official part of Dalek canon. This is truly a fantastic achievement
This is brilliant, like truly. Great plot and understanding of the Whoniverse. Well done sir
Love the work u have done with the daleks sooooo wish I could get them on dvd my fave doctor who villlian
Excellent animation, voices are spot on and the incidental music is very new series. Very well done!
Just found this stuff today! Awesome stuff! -I'm surprised you don't work for them! Love these!
I work as a sound designer for Big Finish. But would love to do Dalek animations as a career what a dream
@@timelash Oh Wow! I look forward to seeing your name in the future series, you more than deserve it!
Great tale, can't wait for part 2
@TheShadowCow I used to work for a media company GWMedia as there animator, and I know even though we worked with the BBC and ITV its still hard getting recognised and this just blows my mind that they think its good. and dont worry all the parts were animated at the same time so theres alot of TLC gone into this project.
Im just glad that DWM thought it was good, hears hopeing :)
I want a renagrade couloured 2005 dalek
Ben Swailes you're not the only one. I'd love to see that
@Alan Cogan you need to say that in a Dalek voice
@Alan Cogan I know you aren't I just thought that sounded like something a Dalek would say and you don't have to take it that seriously you must think I live in a fantasy world, who in their right mind would say something that isn't possible is real and then call a person that thing?
@@samuelbrooks1533 I’ve seen some edits and imperial 2005 daleks look trash
undoubtably the best dalek cgi on all of youtube! keep it up m8! this is amazing!!!
Fantastic! CGI is brilliant, and story line is "Excellent!".
A damned fine piece of work!
excellent cant wait for part 2!
you are the first person to pick up on that, it was my little homage to Genesis but no one noticed till now, i even structured the lines to be similar to Time Lord and Doctor scene.
well done :)
well done mate you are amazing and so is your video! I personaly see your video apart of the whoniverse now and congrats on gettin into DWM!!!! can't wait for part 2!!!
Just discovered your work! Great job! Neat idea!
Haha, I love the Dalek Voice!
That was the best Dalek animation I have ever seen(discounting the actual series I mean fanmade), nice work!!!! :D
Awsome, dude! :D
And from the look of the comments, you just restored faith in the New Paradigm Daleks :D
Wow. You sir are awesome. The entire story is well thought out, and if this were made into a TV serial it would be even more awesome!
I used to watch this as a kid.
What a masterpiece.
Utterly remarkable!!!
Wonderful job. Very well animated and written. I wish all DW fan films on UA-cam were this good.
Stunning!
Part 2, has it rendered yet. I wait with beted breath and excitement. Bring it on..... & thanks.
Amazing! A show based on Daleks!:D Awesome!
From that look in the Supreme Dalek's eye at the very end, I reckon it may have been a trap...
Simply amazing!!! Can't get better than this!! Well done :)
Wow Brilliant - Really, Really Good! Keep up the great work - can't wait for Part 2.
BTW: For people who have remembrance issues, these are explained in the 8th Doctor Dalek novels published by BBC - but I'm happy to have it re-explained or changed here since;
a. The video is so good.
b. The theory is that time is shifting all over the place, so past events can be rewritten.
What a brilliantly superb video!
Holy crap. Ok there are loads of comments like this but. You guys are pro. This is the best fan made dalek story i've ever seen
This is pretty darn amazing!
that was BRILLIANT!.That most have took months to make!.I personally love the new dalek degsin. The colors were a little weird but there much darker and more chrome-y in asylum of the daleks.Ive been thinking, seen as these are "pure" daleks, they can probably think for themselves much more than the old daleks
as if i've never seen this before, Fantastic
You did a great job. This could be considered canon to what happened to Caan between 'The Evolution of the Daleks' and 'The Stolen Earth.'
That was cool, can't wait for part 2 :)
Hmmmm very interesting concept and again this should be made into existence again i think it would work very well with big finish. Also it has made me think maybe the actions of Sylvester Mccoy is what triggered off the time war by destroying Scaro.... maybe something to expand on there :)
Can not wait for part two dude! Well done on getting into DWM and my review of this on The Whovians will be up Friday. =)
These Dalek voices are spot on. Almost sound like they could be from the actual show.
Excellent piece of work there dude. Seriously good job! And the story is looking to be pretty gripping too. Actually goes along with my own theories on the New Dalek Empire, that they'd have to create themselves.
And Dalek Caan's getting a lot of weight put on his shoulders!
Thats some serious animating skillz u have there!
I honestly hope the BBC ask you to turn this into a live action show. I prey.
Holy *&$#@$* ! Lee Adams - YOU ARE GOOD!!!
Wow, excellent animation. Very, very good indeed
I've been looking for this for months.
It depends on what you want to use, you need something that can produce an modulation ring effect. i use a moogerfooger like Nick Briggs (only I have a rubbish mic)
There are programs such as Ableton live using VST files and you can hear the effect as you speak, you also have cool edit, livewire and audacity just to name a few..
Play with the settings about 30 modulation for standard Dalek. and talk loudly with emphasis on certain words and remember "Daleks have a snobbish accent"
fantastic!
You're featured in this months Doctor Who Magazine. Had to have a look. Extremely impressive!!!
