- I sort of burned out by the time I got to Adidas so I apologize for that.
I also did not have time to proof watch the video so if I mess something up I'll have to fix it later, gonna go skate now (believe it or not I do skate).

the etnies cranks/ any of their expensive shoes are designed for downhill/ enduro mountain biking. Theyre basically just water/ weather proof and have a different construction better suited towards the outdoors. But they charge a lot because mountain biking is an already expensive sport and can get away with it unlike with most skaters.

éS is and has been my top teir for a loooong time. The salba rereleases, the return of the quattro, the silo, the new quattro slim that I gotta pick up. Brand is true to its core and quality just keeps getting better tbf
And tbf, adidas friggin kills it too. As much as I love eS, nothing is more comfortable than adidas. The buesenitz and tyshawn are just exceptional shoes and then when you skate in them its just 👌👌👌👌👌

Big fan. But you should not comment on the quality of the shoe or the entire brand without skating or even touching them first, as you stated in your introduction. You forgot to stick to that when commenting on Straye. Also, it would be funny if you did a tier list on your headwear/hairdos.
Accel OG are like putting your feet into a pillow, they are super comfortable and basically all i wear at 33 years old lol.

I may be able to explain the pant "tuck" situation. As a shorter guy most pants are longer than they should be for me, instead of hemming them or cutting them I just send it. I also skate in high top shoes and that is just the way the pants end up laying. Tucked behind the tongue but over top of the ankle part. Not saying it looks cool but it may explain the picture. Keep doing your thang, love the content.
Yeah my smaller homie has this issue as well. Dude is 5'4 and many of the pants he wants to buy just aren't sized to fit his short and small frame, so he buys a couple sizes up, tucks the pants and sometimes the shirts if they're too baggy.
Lmao. Man it's crazy how subjective this stuff is. I absolutely hate all of those massive puffy shoes from eS and I grew up skating in the 90s/early 2000s. I was very happy when vulcs became super popular again. I don't like my shoes to be too big and flashy. Give me low profile with a clean aesthetic all day over some puffy ass monster shoes with no board feel. Biggest shoes I will skate are half cabs.

@@Jebuscrhistallmighty I feel like for most people, it's just them letting their nostalgia control their choices rather than function. It's a case of function over form for me but I could be wrong. This is all highly subjective anyway.
@@jthymes3472 it’s both for me, i can’t skate slim shoes that well and with chunky shoes I feel more comfortable. I don’t do alot of vert so I don’t mind having no Board feel. I did grow up loving chunky shoes mainly dc and es but even after trying to skate slim it just feels off

I'm sitting here in my eS Accel OGs right now. I ordered another pair of Accels this morning. I'm throwing away & donating all my other shoes for more Accels (fkn srs). I'm wearing out my Accel Slims so I can replace them with Accel OGs. I am a whore for puffy Accels.
I'm just glad I can skate in the same shoes I grew up skating in again and I'm at the point where I think it's just best to choose something and stick with it. I've got several different shoes these days and it feels like switching around too much is killing my feet because of the lack of consistency in the arches/sole support and so many soles are vulcanized bullshit...who the fuck decided to introduce that to an impact sport like skating? I'm 6'4" and around 220lbs right now, so I need the cupsoles to deal with extra weight. Puffy cupsoles, loose trucks, & soft wheels for liiife.
I feel the whole laces tucked in spiel but the model was Tom Penny himself so by law you gotta let it slide
as someone who has worn accels with the laces tucked for over twenty years now im slightly offended. lol. It was the style back in the early 2000s. giant pants didnt make sense either but it was the style.
Nike SB. Cons. Adidas. DC. Lakai. NB#. Es' and Vans are the only skate shoe brands that I really support.
Nike SB Dunk Mids were some of my favorite shoes to skate. Pretty bummed they havent released a pair in a while.
I'd sort Straye into 2 categories: skate shoes and hype shoes. The skate shoes (the ventura, the converse hi top clone) are actually pretty solid for the price. They break in quick and need a better insole, but quality wise you're not gonna find a better shoe for 65 bucks or less
Straye should be B tier at least; I’ve skated the suede slip ons and have seen they have a similar suede high top, and I’ve been super satisfied with the durability/flick! Most of their designs suck, but they have some solid colors (mostly black) available
Canvas shoes (and synthetic materials) are for people who don’t want animal hides for ethical reasons.

CONS are definitely B-tier, at best. They fucked over tons of team riders, have questionable quality control, and straight up have not honored contractual payments for shoe royalties (looking at Anthony Poppalardo).

Been vegan for years, and i would usually just get goodwill chucks to trash because canvas is almost always shit. BUT the Emerica canvas dicksons are like 60000 layers thick. Been on mine for 3 months and the sole is wearing faster than the canvas.

The converse cons high top at 1:43 is actually a remaster of one of converses basketball shoes which used to be called converse cons before they made skateboarding shoes.

Back in the day, eS Accels were so damn good. Nothing flashy and look like any generic shoe but put on a pair an do a kick flip and you would understand. The flick and functionality just stood out. Dunno how they are these days but I assume something isnt the same as the old ones
I had a pair recently, gave em to another "skater", mainly this stoner kid who rides a longboard but has a street board he never rides lol I couldn't stand seeing him push around in his granddad nikes so I gave em the accels and gave him shit everytime I saw him, he didn't fn wear them until like 6 months later. Bastard
They slimmed down the accel..and there's a variation with a strap now..
@@BLVCKSEA I remember the accel plus which had a strap too. That was almost 20 years ago. They also had the square one which was a slimmed down version but on a vulcanized sole. That was also almost 20 years ago. I still remember putting them on and doing the first kick flip and thinking holy shit that felt good. It was the first vulc shoe I ever skated.
