Love all the new stuff from ASICS (Metaspeed Edge/Sky Paris, Superblast 2) and Hoka (Cielo X1, Skyward X, etc.) but the Adizero line remains on the top for me and this EVO SL, the AP4, and Adios 9 will only solidify that position. This EVO SL looks really interesting. There goes my wallet!

I think this is Adidas opportunity to bump the stack heigh of the Boston over 40MM into the Prime X's class. Boston was the training partner to the Pro 3, but now with the Evo SL and Pro 4 being the training and racing counter-parts, Adidas can have more max stack options (similar to Asics Superblast 2 and Glideride Max)
omg, I've been waiting for this shoe ever since I got acquainted with LSP through TS9, AP2 and now TS10. my dream trainer shoe was to be a full LSP with no or almost no plate/rods and a light weight. and it will come at a fantastic price.
no comparison tbh, Superblast 2 has way more race foam, higher stack hight and way better durability. And I still think that a plated shoe isnt really a good daily trainer, its more for speed work and not for long runs or easy runs. Superblast can do it all

This shoe only had a midfoot shank or dogbone (most likely a more flexible pebax type material) to provide just a little bit of structure. It is not a traditional carbon plate or rod setup seen in many racing shoes. -Connor
The Boston 12 is old, it’s either going to be phased out or updated with a newer model that will make more sense. It doesnt make sense to see where a 2 year old shoe fits in with the cutting edge releases.

Takumi has much less cushioning, this is 40mm heel and made for long runs. Takumi is meant for 5-10k races and workouts
TS is 7mm less stack and has carbon rods. It's a basically a high stack racing flat. This is a trainer.
