The thing that is shocking to me is that nobody bothered to tell them that they are misinterpreting the origin story in order to use it as propaganda. Basically, the whole thing demonstrates how feebleminded the Warren supporters are, because one has to be feebleminded to be incapable of interpreting a story by ones self and to adopt someone else's interpretation at truth like that.
In the origin story, woman is represented by Eve. Man is represented by Adam.
Calling Warren a snake is not at all sexist. It's a parable about temptation and evil creating in a oral time not a literal one. The snake was Satan. Satan lies like a snake.
The story never claimed that women are liars. It claimed that women are tempted by things and men are tempted by women. Guess what? That's true. Women are actually tempted by things, and men are actually tempted by women. They were both tempted, and they both tried to hide it from god.
It's supposed to make us think about the things that cause us to do bad things. For thousands of years, apparently, men have been willing to do bad things with woman at the center of their goals or reasons for doing it. For thousands of years, women have been more interested in things.
There actually are some gender differences.
The story is only sexist if you try to assume that it is the woman's fault for being tempting, and man would not be sinful if woman didn't exist. Men do things for women and to get women. Every culture has mating rituals about this thing. Women tend to do things to get things.
