Yep, got myself a 2018 Silverado crew cab standard bed rst.
I had a Chevy with the 5'7" bed and I hated it, just long enough to be annoying.

@Mike DeMarco The 5.5 bed is the short bed now. This is the 6.5 bed, the longest you can get in a crew cab f150. If you want an 8 ft bed, you have to get an extended cab instead of the crew cab.
I don’t own a Ford but I love that they make a truck for just about everyone. I love all the bed/cab configurations. They definitely own the truck market right now.

Chevy and GMC need to conduct a serious overhaul of their interiors. Dodge and Ford have left them in the dust. Pickups aren’t just for work anymore.
they changed the whole dash, display screen, center console, technology, and so much more. what more could you ask for? Suede, race seats, drag tires? like no dude
100% agreed. My GMC dealer said interior makeover is coming in 2022.
Thanks for reviewing this one. I could not imagine buying a pickup with a 5.5'' bed, it just looks no-nuts weak in a crew cab and is only marginally functional.
Agree, but here in FL, you hardly ever see a 6.5 on the lots. I just ordered a KR with the 6.5 because I couldn’t find one anywhere

Ya nowadays trucks are way over priced
I expected the long bed F-150 to have a over 2,000lb payload. Must be because the F-350 SRW 8' bed is a beast with over 4,000lbs of payload. Poor Ben, the trucks are all solid and nice so doing these reviews is not easy. I like my Ford Lariat because of the keypad entey/lock as I use it all the time.
It cab be over 3000 ! - mine is.
When I hear long bed I think 8ft lol. But as a former Ford stealership mechanic those ecoboost motors are junk. Either get the 5.0 or the NA v6

Beautiful truck. I prefer it with the 6.5ft bed. I have a ram 1500 with the 5.7ft bed and its annoying considering I use the bed a lot.
What is the 5 foot bed like when you're hauling lumber?
@@martgatz75 It does ok with lumber 8 to 10 foot long but longer a little harder to secure.

I believe three bed options are now available (no?) The "new" but pretty standard for 5.5ft bed, the traditional LWB 8.8FT bed and the classic but reintroduced 6.6ft bed do you know which this is? Always to be the 6.6ft bed
Not is not a real long bed!!!! 8'ft is a long bed and a real work/play truck! Ford does not offer a 8'ft in crew cab.
Yes deceiving title. 6.5ft is NOT a long bed in my books. This is not new for 2021 I have a 2019 F150 Lariat crew with this same box. 8ft crew is only available in F250 and 350.
a 7.3L F250 Lariat Tremor with Lariat Ultimate pkg will MSRP @ $69K. A better deal IMO
2017 f150 w/ supercab, 8' bed and 5.0. I only look at new trucks to see what interior to pickup at the pick-n-pull. Nice looking truck tho.
You can't fold the shifter except when in park. Also wtf is even the point of the folding console shifter when the column shifter was invented 83 years ago...
Is that the only option on the LCD display for the miles per hour and tach? Does it also have an option for the analog look LCD vs the digital? That digital cluster would get real annoying real quick.
Nice, can you review a fully loaded 2021 expedition xlt? They added a few packages and things like adaptive cruise that make it tempting for ~$60k.
I hope so, that's just how I order my 22 Powerboost and some other amenities

These dealers never seem to order these with the bed spray in or any form of cover. Everyone knows these are needed yet the dealers rather not factory install these lol.

I like this long bed f150 put a 7 inch lift on it with 24x14 with 37’s or 35’s your preference it looks like a different version of the F250 bc it’s such a bigger longer truck and the jacked up stance with the wheels gives it that F250 look and this has the twin turbo eco boost. And it’s $30-40k cheaper then a Super Duty crew cab just an alternative for a poorer man..feel me
Screw cab, short bed, tow package is the way to go. If you're dropping the coin for a new truck, a utility trailer is cheap.

Correction, modern auto shifter is electronic controlled and has no stress on gears doesn't matter how you touch it
The one thing I don't understand is this one as chrome capped towing mirrors.... when you put this configuration into the build system it doesn't mention the caps and shows black mirrors. Now sure why this one has the chrome capped mirrors. It doesn't even list it on the window sticker.

Where is this truck? Tried to build 1 on the Ford site. The Lariat long bed F150 is only available with super cab and not the super crew cab like this 1 being reviewed.

I always found the shortbed trucks to look a little weird, and not very useful. This looks right.
Just to clear things up, this is the standard bed, not the long bed. Long bed is the 8’ version👍

Ok so a perfect truck would be one with Ford's front end from the mirrors including the mirrors to the grill and with Chevy's exterior from behind the mirrors to the tailgate and with the ram interior.

I have the 6.5 bed, but it's in the super cab, I am worrying about getting me bigger bed which I'm used to but with a super crew, I take mine on certain mountain trails for 4x4 driving and I'm wondering how much of a big difference a different wheel bases are, I really want the bigger bed, but I don't want it to be a tank either, what are your experiences with the longer wheelbase as far as maneuverability and adjusting to it?
They sead 60 k but you go to the dealer and the xl is 67 k lol. In other dealer
I got my 150 v8 long bed advertised at 35 thou. ! Of course, im paying around 40,000. ! Still better than 60,000. Of course ,theyres fees,..finance charges. That comes to overs 60,ooo. But, i. I. Got it for an advertised price of 34, or 35 thou. - woo hooo ! - but,it has been a great truck, and it has over 3000 payload. My point is the advertised price,means less than nothing.

What are your experiences with the six and a half foot bed with the SuperCrew, I'm worrying about maneuverability, but I love the fact that the bed is actually functional, I go camping a lot and I use all of the bed, just don't want it to be a tank.

Ours has a double sunroof. It’s long, we just got our new truck last Thursday. We are still learning the features on it.
And I think this truck has the work surface and that’s why shifter goes down. Did you know ?
They put the fold down shifter in all trucks equipped with the console shifter. Even if the lid doesn't flip. Also you cannot fold the shifter down if the truck is in drive. Ben didn't seem aware of that.
It'd be so cool if the tailgate step was powered also.
Prefer it manual. Less stuff to break.

You show the shift lever go down, but you never show the work station to go with it. That's a new feature to 2021, but you always skip over it. It's the forward folding center armrest that creates a flat work station for laptops.

@@BenHardyCars Since you showed the shift lever going down, I would have assumed you'd always show its complimenting feature that goes with it just like you did with the instrument cluster screen, especially since they are both a new feature to 2021. No worries man, you're killing it.

I wish they would add some colors like red and blue for interiors instead mostly just somber black/gray. For the amount of cash...I want some choices. The whole interior should be color keyed and not just the seats if they were to acquiesce allow some color options.
@@ksorsomeplace sport/luxery red or sport/luxery blue leather interior with an option to have either full leather seats with the color preference (my preference) or alcantara suede seats with the color preference.

@@ksorsomeplace i like that the lariat trim can be optioned out with either chrome or sport exterior body panels but tbh they do need to add more options for the interiors.
@@bennypacheco9064 Yeah, that's good variety. I go for the chrome myself. I would make one change to the chrome package: I'd rather have the chrome mirrors vs. the running boards. I wouldn't mind having some other wheel choices as well. They're there, but seem to always require other options. Changing a wheel should be a separate option not requiring any other changes.
I'm glad you can't pick the 8 ft bed with the crew cab. I think the crew cab 6 1/2 or 8 ft bed looks too long.

What package do you have to get in the XLT to get the column shifter and the work surface? For years I've been wanting the floor console shifter, but the work surface while driving would be a game changer for eating on the go during family trips.

@@BenHardyCars except for the fact 1500 comes with 8ft bed in reg cab and supercab. You can say optional 6.5ft bed for a supercrew as the more standard bed for a crew is 5.5ft I wish you didn't have to jump to super duty for the long bed crew. All the 1500 crew with 5.5 is is a taller minivan for soccer moms...
