- In this weeks video i check out the new SCANIA XT G450 Tipper Truck. Plenty to show you around this truck and it's tipper body, it features a 13-Litre (Euro 6) 450hp in-line 6 cylinder diesel engine, which develops 2,350 Nm of torque. The 12 speed Opticruise gearbox also features a cluch pedal (Cluch-on-demand)

Seen this video in my subscriptions. I opened it with the intention of watching it when I get a chance so it would just be ready when I open youtube. We have the Scania R650 XT in school, can't wait to get my hands on it since i've always been fascinated about driving trucks although i didn't study to be a truck driver

Well Stavros, what a brilliant video, you have a Spark which is almost impossible to beat. If Scania don't adore yourself, there must be something wrong with them. It's amazing, that they never took in your comments before, on lengthening those Sun-shields, rather an important safety feature I would of thought? Listening carefully, the only gripe you had, was that Sun-Shield, so come on Scania!

Having driven a quad tipper, that tipping control arm is in the wrong place! As you a constantly catching your right thigh on the bloody thing! I would have thought by now they'd have found a better place by now! Anyway Stavros another great video Fella "Great Work, Well Done"
Been working on a 2015 Scania G450 for few year now, and it's been awesome,,,,, Only 2 things i don't like about it. The placement of the lever to raise the bed,,,,, and the 56 grease knobs.

@@izzibruh8510 Not the owner. Just a driver. Good for power. Four axle trailer. Was 46 tonne rated, now 48. Pulling well, (on some very demanding country) now that it’s run in. (140,000kms) I think doing ok for fuel consumption? Our company (McCarthys Transport) are getting lots more ‘G’ model Scanias.

good video, that truck was bought by a quarry next to me in West limerick , had it at our place tipping loads of stone. the very minute I saw it I thought of you stavro. A sexy and beast of a machine.
Hi Stavros, you would think Scania would have put on low /flat LED beacons. Those will get knocked off on the first day, pretty low tech. Why no LED fogs? Halogen? Really? Nice truck all round though.👍🏻

I observed that you show everything in detail, but you never show the pedals ( brake, accelerator and clutch if there's any) and legroom areas.

I'm a relatively recent subscriber to Stavros' channel because, as a musician, I get little time to indulge one of my few non-musical hobbies, which is trucks. I just piggin' love them. Especially Scania, and especially the new Scanias. But, to be honest, Stavros could review a whorehouse in the Vatican and it would be fantastic, because of his fantastic personality and style of presentation which make his videos a joy to watch. After a hard day in the studio, there's nothing better than to watch one of Stavros' videos, by the end of which you cannot help but smile. I know a pat on the back from a viewer means little to some of these great UA-cam stars, but well done and cheers! x

Just a question, what performs better, the opticruise or the fully manual gearbox?
I play euro truck simulator 2 now and then and I did notice that the indicator has got the same sound as the DAF 105

So scania is from volkswagen? I always thought they belonged to Saab because their logos look so similar
Campbell no. The Scania - Saab cooperation ended in 1996, Saab went bust, and Scania at the nick to be purchased by Volvo, but EU said no, and then VW stepped in.

I drive a pete 389 tri-axle and normally rum around 100,000 pounds and that's the truck and the load ....truck empty weighs about 29,400 lbs...
@stavros does the XT RANGE COME IN 10×4 SPEC which would allow you to carry even more weight???

You don’t get as much fade with the drums as you do with discs.

We run 4 x scania's on drums and 6 x actros on discs,, everyone is terrified of the scanias after being on the mercs !!!!!!,,, never had any problems with either set ups !!!,,, the Mercedes will stop on a sixpence !!, underpant change many times on the scanias !!!, ...
