    For anyone wondering, Premium Select at a fair price is awesome. My wife and I flew Premium Select on Delta from SEA to HND (Tokyo) which was a 10 hour flight earlier this month. My wife straight up after the flight said we're not flying economy again on long haul. She's never flown anything but economy her whole life, but we decided to splurge this trip because why not. It was $4700 round trip from SLC-HND (layover in SEA) for both of us. Main Cabin seats were $2000 roundtrip per person so we only paid $700 more than Main Cabin. I would still do it even if it were another $500 more total. The amount of pitch you get, the extra width of the seats, and the awesome recline while having to be confinsed for 10 hours is great. The seats are very comfy and plush as well so it made those hours truly fly by. Highly recommend and I know we will be flying it again long-haul.

      Yeah great decision, cause those long hauls in economy can get unbearable, especially after the 10th hour on the flight. The only one that I thought so far was ok for long haul in economy was Turkish Airlines, not bad, good food and good service.

      Thanks so much for your description. I'm now considering this option for our overseas next year. Up to this point we've traveled 1st/business for all our overseas flights, which used to be reasonable but not anymore.

      @@Clutching.My.Pearls This felt like what old business class used to be. My parents used to fly Cathay Pacific Business way back in the day when we'd go international long-haul and this was close to what I remember that being. Given that Delta One tickets for this flight were $7500 a person roundtrip, there's no way we were spending that kind of money.

      @Clutching.My.Pearls no problem! Yeah those prices are crazy out there now, so this is a very nice alternative to business/1st class. And for lounge access, you can always use Priority Pass or other lounge access from credit cards to have you covered too

    That lounge is amazing! Go figure

    Thanks for this video. We usually travel 1st/business overseas for the convenience of laying flat. But, the prices have become astronomical, so actually seeing this seating is very encouraging to maybe try this less expensive seat.
    Question: How was your seat for sleeping and relaxing??

      @germananditravels  10 місяців тому +1

      No problem! True! 1st/business is crazy expensive unless you can book with points. But yeah the seat was very comfortable, great recline, and had no problem falling asleep. I'm 5'7" so I had ample space, but even if you're 6'+ tall you'll be perfectly fine too

    My family and I plan on going to Milan from NYC and Milian back to SFO, I have looked at discounted businesses for a family of four, and the price is 14,000 on ItA. I have not traveled much, and once on business, I was on airfrance 3 years ago directly from SFO to Paris, also on a discounted flight, and it was perfect. So my question is, how comfortable were you on this flight? I would much rather save if there isn't much of a difference.

      Oh wow, that sounds like an awesome vacation, I’m sure you and your family will love it!
      Overall, this seat was very comfortable and despite having sciatica on top of that, I left the flight well rested when arriving in London. Even though it’s not a lie-flat seat, I would fly it again if I have the chance. I remember was a third of the price when I flew it then paying for the business class seat. To upgrade to it was $400, rather than around $1800 for the business class upgrade.

      Thanks. We may try to go to Econny Plus there, and maybe business will be on the way back. Trying to find a deal@@germananditravels

      I know with points and miles, you may be able to find award availability for some segments that are cheap. Or do positioning flights from maybe larger nearby airport to find better deals. Unless you live near a large one already like JFK.

    • @Coolcatgrooves
      @Coolcatgrooves 10 місяців тому

      No points, we don't travel much. What would you say are the top 3 three business and economy plus airlines that are not going to break the bank :)

      There's no clear winner since prices fluctuate like crazy. But I know one that might have a cheap transatlantic business class is JetBlue from JFK to London. They don't have a lot of flights, but might be worth taking a look.

      I wish it was like that with US carriers. I flew economy on AA from the US to New Zealand and that was a terrible terrible seat! 🤮

      @germananditravels  10 місяців тому +1

      Oh you're right! Yeah first time really doing an airline seat review. Orlando to London was $560 round-trip with the layovers in between. $400 for the upgrade to premium for that segment. Kind of had to pay since I got sciatica the day prior or potentially cancel all the plans. Good observation, might re-upload the video then this weekend with it, but in the meantime I'll add the prices in the description.

      @@germananditravels Ya... it really is interesting for us to know because premium economy and business class products can fluctuate wildly... also of note: Day of Travel Upgrades prices are always interesting to note! Thanks !

    • @germananditravels
      @germananditravels  10 місяців тому

      No problem. Yeah those can fluctuate a lot, especially if you pay for an upgrade the day before like I had to. It's kind of why I usually don't put restaurant prices on my videos, cause those are a bit too subjective on what someone orders lol
