The older I get the more I think I’m worth the extra $$. I think about all the $$ I spent for my boys sports camps, trainers, equipment. (Still have 1 more at home) so YES - spend a little on the parents to enjoy the finer (roomier) things.
Great video! I’ve flown all 3 classes to Europe from LAX with Skyteam airlines plus BA and I wholeheartedly believe it’s worth the money for more space and recline if you have the points or can afford the price. As for business class its amazing and I was well rested upon arrival. Premium economy IMHO is a great balance of price and comfort features and I plan to budget for premium for all future long haul flights. I appreciate his intention of gaining additional status with KLM as I was able to reach Delta Gold for 2023 and it puts me in Sky Priority regardless of my class of flight. Shorter lines better care and access to some alliance member lounges are totally worth it for anyone who flies often.
I fly internationally 3 or 4 times per year, flights up to 15 hours. Anything over 7 hours I book Premium Select rather than Comfort +. The extra leg room, reclining, and width makes such a huge difference!
Premium Select sucks balls. I've flown on all of the 3 PE's - AF, DL and KL and KL is the best PE product by far. DL's PS is absolute junk these days. Was pretty good when it first came out but they stripped it of everything premium except the premium you pay.
@@florida_drone_dude Bingo. Flew it last year, RT to Europe and the meals were very ordinary. 40 years ago DL served better meals in coach on long haul domestic flights. The in-flight service was also subpar. In PS we didn't even get a cocktail service before the lunch trays were set out, on about a 10 hour flight from CDG-MSP. The snack served 1 hour before landing was some sort burrito wrap that was inedible.
Great video! I just flew on Delta and United first class seats on domestic flights. I've only flown economy so it was a very different experience. What I LOVED more than anything were the priority security process and onboarding. While waiting to board, we heard an announcement that warned that there will not be ample headroom to stow all the carry-on baggage. The airline was looking for volunteers to check their luggage for free. I didn't worry because we had the guarantee of overhead space. The bells/whistles of a larger bathroom, choice of meals, offer to hang up our coats in their closet, etc. were nice too.
In my opinion there are several big advantages to flying in business class. First off the shorter lines in the airport and the business/first lounge and it seems the personnel working in those areas just seem to treat you better. The airport first/business lounges vary in quality and amenities but there is always ample amounts of food from snacks to hot meals, beverages of all kinds, and comfortable places to sit and relax. Usually the bigger the airport the better the lounge is. I always fly on United and their business class seats are pretty nice especially on the 787 aircraft. I am almost 6'6" tall. On the bulkhead seat in business the area for your feet is a little larger than the other seats in business. At my height I can recline the seat completely flat and the front of the seat raises to the level of a padded 'shelf' in the bulkhead and it can accommodate my long legs and large feet with a couple of inches to spare. The seat also has an adjustment on the middle of the length to provide a comfortable angle under your knees if you desire. In addition, there is a pretty sizeable storage compartment on a shelf on the bulkhead which will easily accommodate a briefcase or small back pack or travel bag. There is also a little storage cupboard and generous shelf on one side of every seat. Most airlines business section have a maximum of 30 to 40 seats and at least two flight attendants. Compare that to the economy section on a large aircraft with 200-300 passengers and 4-6 flight attendants to attend to the passengers. Another huge plus in business is the amount of privacy. A few of the seats don't have any neighboring seat next to it. Even if the seats are in pairs they are still 'walled off' so you don't see your neighbor generally. Some configurations have a sliding wall to open your cubicle so if you are traveling with a partner you can see and talk to them. The bulkhead seats are near the toilets and galley but with the walls around your seat and the depth of the bulkhead I never noticed the extra activity. The last time I flew on a transatlantic flight in a United 787 I had seat 1A. It was in the front row with a bulkhead in front of the seat, on the window and a single seat. The way the walls were arranged I had to lean forward and crane my neck around the wall to see anyone else in the cabin. Whether sitting normally or fully reclined I had complete privacy and I slept like a baby for more than 6 hours. The higher cabin pressure and higher humidity level of the air in the 787 is very comfortable and you don't get that funky feeling you normally get from a long flight in other aircraft. The flight attendants attentively see to your every need, the beverages are of a better quality and the food is better. The final advantage of flying business id that on short connecting flights there is only economy and first class. So if you fly business class you get a first class seat. The seats are normal seats but more comfortable and the leg room is generous and often if there are 3 seats in a row, the middle sat is blocked and has a little table across the arm rests with ample room to share it with the other seat. In short, at my height and my age (67) it is absolutely worth the extra money to fly in business. I have been flying transatlantic and transpacific flights since 1970. Back in the day economy was reasonably comfortable. But over the years the seats and leg room have slowly gotten smaller and smaller. I have spent too many years crammed into economy seats on 10-14 hour flights and I've had enough of that. I am willing to pay a high price for the comfort and extra service nowadays, I earned it and I deserve it. You should try it but I warn you, you will get spoiled and you will never want to travel in the 'cattle class' again!
I only fly long haul in at least business class or above if F is offered. But most don't want to pay that much or don't have the miles to upgrade if available.
I see a man becoming a business class fan step by step. That makes me very happy. Soon you won't have to sleep on the floor in front of your seat if you want a flat inflight bed. And soon you can afford it too, now that you've reached 60,000 subscribers. Congratulations. 😉
Thanks for the review. We fly long haul from Australia to USA which is 15 hours. I refused to fly economy after the first few trips and tried Premium Economy … then convinced my wife to do Business Class … whilst Business was fantastic, the enormous cost makes it hard to justify. We are trying out Delta Premium Select for our next trip and know that for the two of us, having the bulkhead just helps with getting past each other and no seat in front problems. Happy flying everyone
We are flying from DTW to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks. I have watched several videos of Premium Select and you explained what to expect must better than others. Thanks from Texas.
I flew from Vancouver, Canada to Cancun last Dec. I checked in 24 hrs before flight and thought I’d see how much it was to upgrade. It was only 200$ from economy to business class (it was a pod). So I treated myself to an early Christmas present. When i checked the pricing to upgrade when the tickets were purchased it was over 500$. If you are willing to gamble, you might want to wait til check in? My ad was google ads.
As a 72 year old, I only fly premimum economy going overseas. Special way to start any vacation. And as a taller person, the space does make a huge difference. And I mean huge difference I sure isn't like business for first (both of which I have done overseas) but it sure fills in the gap at a lesser price.
I agree, I have Sciatica & knee issues so I need more leg space especially in long trips. I’d even prefer to buy the seat 💺 next to me to not get surprises.
I wish some European carriers would offer the skycouch option for economy like Air New Zealand offers. Can’t afford first class, and would love to be able to have a row to myself and curl up to get some sleep.
I despised select comfort on Delta. For the cost difference between SC and comfort plus, it is totally not worth it. We had the same food. When the people in front of us leaned their seats back and we put our feet up, we couldn’t even cross our ankles!
Premium economy for me is a game changer! It allows me to really relax and sleep and arrive at my destination refreshed rather than exhausted. It’s not business or first but I don’t need “luxury” , I just need to not be stressed on a flight. The extra personal space and the better food makes all the difference!
OMG love you!!! Thank you for providing your great cruise level reviews on flights! Honestly a lot of the flight review peeps just have insane expectations so very good to have a realistic view. For me biggest reason why I actually pay the extra for premium economy (I do go business for europe -asia / oceania flights but hell NO for 8h or below) - I have a bit of agoraphobia and my girls are big so having the space between me and other people is really appreciated. - And yes for premium economy bulkhead is usually not a good deal, 2nd row is better
Hello Captain Morgan! I love your Mom's flowery sofa😁 I love flying Delta Premium serviced by KLM. I used my credit flying from Calgary to Madrid via Amsterdam & return last year, I had the seat by the window on bulkhead and placed my backpack on the overhead compartment. I appreciated all its benefits which at 72 yrs of age made for a better experience especially after spending 8 weeks walking 825 km on dusty roads in Northern Spain🤩 Enjoy your time back in Minnesota💖
I hear you about the bulkhead seats. I am always torn. The benefit of not having someone instantly putting their seat back outways any other issues. Seems to me like I am the person that always has someone putting their chair back as far as they can the minute they can then the claustrophia sets in.
I always end up with bulkhead because my tall husband strongly prefers it. Like Morgan, I'd rather have the underseat storage and the seat back video screen. I try to compensate by removing whatever I'll need from my bag before stowing it overhead, but it's still kind of a hassle.
Thank you for the post. I had my husband and I booked in comfort+ from Atlanta to Toyoko for a trip to Okinawa we're going on soon, and he convinced me to upgrade to premium select. It is a nice way to start a vacation and I like that we are one row behind what you have as, like you, I like to store my carry-on under my seat. I also like that we are sitting on the right of the plane with only two seats -- a window and aisle seat. I'm so curious about what we'll experience so I appreciate your post!
American Premium Select was ceramic dishes, silverware, cloth napkins and glass. All the little extras is well worth it plus the legroom. This is how overseas flights were 30 plus years ago.
HIi Morgan! I just want to say how much I enjoy ALL of your videos! You are a very talented vlogger & your creativity of your videos & blend of background music makes it all worthwhile and memorable! Thank you!
I fly Premium Economy for any flight over 2 hours. I flew to Sydney from JFK (a 24 hour flight with layover in Manila). I had the bulkhead seat. The JFK->Manila leg (12 hours) the seats screen would not come out of the seat. So they moved me to Business Class seat soon after take-off. THat was a bonus! Didn't get the food/drink perks, but didn't care, I could lay down and sleep which was a huge thing. :)
Being a tall chap, I only travel premium economy (or higher) on long haul, for the leg room alone. Having traveled between Europe and the states on economy a couple of times - every time was 10 hour+ of sheer hell in economy for me as a struggled, twisted and boxed in as my legs would be crushed by the seat in front. On the handful of occasions that I have been very fortunate to fly business class, with a a fully flat based, that is something else altogether and real luxury.
before watching your video. Delta Premium Select: before the pandemic Premium select was really nice. your domestic leg was first class and you two really nice meals on the airline, served on ceramic with metal cutlery and glassware. post pandemic: no domestic first-class leg and a coach meal. it is essentially comfort plus for several hundred dollars more.
As someone with a chronic back condition these seats just may help me make it to my Japan vacation less crippled ..I never travel so treating myself is something I can justify
Flying overseas, I only fly premium, especially because I do go to Asia often. I got lucky with upgrade to delta one from South Korea to ATL in 2020 for $500. Very lucky getting that because it’s usually $3k. Totally worth it
We've found that in general, international flights in Premium Economy have usually cost about double what standard economy would be. My opinion after using it on several airlines is that it is not worthwhile on a 2 hour domestic flight or within Europe. However, on the long haul flights from Europe to the US, definitely worthwhile if you can afford it. The increased seat comfort on a 10 hour flight matters!
I prefer to do Delta Comfort+ on flights, usually premium economy is not an option on the flights I book domestically in the US. You get on earlier and it says you are supposed to have guaranteed overhead bin space above your seat. I have a 4 wheel rolling carry-on and a matching backpack that is my personal item. The carry-on goes in the overhead and the backpack goes under the seat. Works great and definitely beats checking bags when going on a cruise. I have only had one problem with overhead on Comfort+, a very young pilot (he was not on duty) was able to board before me and not only took my window seat, but also took up the entire overhead bin with all of his bags. I got to my seat and he looked up at me and said "Oh, did you want the window seat?" I replied "No, that is ok, I can take the aisle seat. But I am a bit bummed that you took up the entire overhead bin." He replied "Sorry, I don't get home very often so I travel with a few extra carry-ons."
We flew Delta Premium select economy round trip to/from Amsterdam from Atlanta. We would have been better off in Comfort plus. The footrest which only raised your feet a little didn’t work and took up space on floor in front of you. My travel buddy had the window seat and when the people in front of us reclined, she was basically stuck in her seat the ENTIRE flight. The snacks were supposed to be special. They weren’t. Meals might have been slightly better
Delta offered me for additional $650 one way Economy seat to Premium plus from Seattle to Korea. I agree to all your points of view at 5' 7" . My needs are isle seat, no crying kids, clean bathroom. no turbulence. I am not sure you can buy most of that. Plus the money saved I put it into hotel rooms at destinations. Thank you for helping me decide. Someday I will spoil myself with lay down bed and bite the bullet and pay the equivalent to a car down payment.
From my experience, Premium select was really "premium". The food used to be amazing, that's why I always book premium select since they started it. Now I feel like it's just equal to comfort+. The food has gotten worst and the price now is almost doubled! I used to just pay $2000 from MSP to MNL, now the cheapest I could find is $4800 which is ridiculous! Hello from South Minneapolis 👋
Yup, circa 2018, food was near identical to what they served in Delta One sans an appetizer or warm nuts? But now, it's basically economy food, economy chair, and economy service. Not worth it unless you're 6ft and need the extra space.
I've been considering which class of Delta I want to book for an upcoming trip between Detroit and Portland. After watching this vid, I've decided to go for the upgrade, because I want them to call me Mr. O'Brian.
Last year we were upgraded on BA from roundtrip from Cincinnati to London and we stated then that we would always fly better IF the cost was reasonable. Just booked a Delta flight from Cincy to Paris with return from Munich to Detroit and we paid the extra. Hopefully we will be as impressed as we were with BA. We are not huge people, but even we appreciate the larger space and we really appreciated the amenities.
My add was for Regent Seven Seas cruises. That is way out of my price point for cruises. You may want to look in to getting Global Entry since you are a US citizen. Helps you clear customs much quicker. I think it is about $100 for five years.
I have a bulk head seat to Rome in a couple weeks. It’s our first test trip not paying for business. We actually wanted business over, premium back but they couldn’t split them for us. So, thanks for the bulkhead review. First I’ve found! Seems we’ll be fine with only first world problems 😂
We were very happy flying Premium Economy with AA from Frankfurt to Seattle. As we are tall it made a huge difference and was much more comfortable for us. th
I never fly economy on a long haul flight. Extra room, priority check in/boarding, never been charged when I went over 50 lbs. People looked miserable in economy 6 hrs in when I ventured to the restroom 🤷🏽♀️
The end of this video was EXACTY what I was looking for. I’m trying to decide if Delta One is worth the price, and hearing your wrap up about the legrest being a joke and the recline didn’t improve your ability to sleep was exactly what I was looking for. I am not one who can sleep easy in a sitting position and the last long haul flight I took (in comfort plus) I got very motion sick and felt extremely claustrophobic. I think I’ll just have to pay the Delta One fare going forward or no more international travel for me. Thank you for the informative (and funny) video!
Welcome home to Minnesota from south Minneapolis. We will be flying premium select in July for 1st time. Your video was informative but we will decide if we continue flying that way. Enjoy the weather.
My sister and I flew DL Economy comfort last fall to Italy, via CDG. Well, to change planes we had to clear security again at CDG and it was complete chaos. There was a guy going around asking people if they had priority access. I shook my head no. Well....don't tell my sister...but after we got through that mess, I did happen to notice we had priority access on our boarding pass! 🤦♂️ So it's even included in DL's economy comfort!
I've flown on more Delta One Suites than I can count and while the seat becomes flat, it's HARD. Like sleeping on the carpet with no cushion HARD. I've never been able to get more than 1 hour sleep in the "suite". This was my primary reason for exploring Premium Select. But from the seat comfort perspective, it sounds like it's almost the same as economy for someone who's below 6ft.
Morgan, I haven't flown international in like, EVER. So when I fly within the United States, there is no Premium Select option. We do, however, always fly American's Main Cabin Extra, which allows us a tad more leg room in the front of the Coach class section (hubby is 6'2"), first bag checked for free, and sort of earlier boarding (with bulkhead space reserved for MCE). The price increase over Economy is worth it, considering the cost of checking a bag on American, which is included in the cost of the upgraded coach ticket. Our 2nd airline of choice is Southwest, which is all Coach and free checked bags, so it depends on our travel route. Sadly, Delta has a poor flight schedule out of our main airport, Philadelphia, so we are "stuck" with American. Seems like Southwest has become less favorable to Philly passengers as their routes are less direct and I hate changing planes unless flying cross country (we always fly direct to Fort Lauderdale, Florida). I wish Delta flew more flights out of Philly that didn't connect through Atlanta, and Jet Blue isn't that much better either. Only Delta is the top-ranked US-based carrier so we're stuck. Oh well. I don't see your ads during the vlog because I have UA-cam Premium. 😁
American doesn’t have customer service. This is especially missed when flying back and forth to Australia. We now fly southwest and switch One has to go to the international terminal anyway AND we don’t pay for bags on the way over. In addition, cancelling or rescheduling is sooo much easier. Speaking from 10+ years of American Airlines screwups.
As a above average (height and “pleasantly plump”) I would love a bulk head seat. I flew to Germany in economy and I swear I could have done a root job on the person who was in front with the seat reclined the whole flight. I don’t know how much I would be willing to pay to get it, but I would rather stare at a wall. Commercial was Ferrero Roche
I’m on a crazy race to get more avios points so that I can use my TWO 😮 companion tickets I’ve accrued over the past four years of using my credit card . The return flights come out today 😱 and I’m about 100k short for the maximum discount . We are planned to go to Spain in august (I say planned because I don’t want to tempt fate- I’ve cancelled so much lately) and we are travelling business so that should up our avios too . It’s all a game and all about getting something for nothing . Great video as always
Delta used to upgrade you to Domestic First, for all PE international flights, but now they don't sadly. Domestic First Class seats are a bit wider, with larger arm shared rest.
I have a question for everyone in the comments 😊 I came to see what kind of commercials yal got but no one commented 😮 is it because no one wants to comment on it or does everyone have premium UA-cam? I have premium & always wondered wat everyone else sees 🙂
I could be wrong but, I think, if you book economy on KLM you have a checked baggage fee but in Premium there is none. Could be a substantial consideration.
Got an ad for Barilla bronze cut pasta. I think if it were a real long-haul flight (say over 15 hours) then it would certainly be worth it. Travel to and from Australia is mostly never short. My first flight from UK to Aus was 32 hours long and I was seven.
It seems worth it, sometimes just for “more room” you can pay $80.00 …a couple hundred and you get better boarding, points, food, recline, foot rest, blanket etc….for a long haul flight why not….the difference in cost between coach and premium select seems ok…but…..1st class often is price restrictive..
It's worth it for me. I'm a wider guy and wider guys prefer wider seats. I also appreciate the food (not the same as economy) and the beverages. (again, not the same).
When I used to live in Germany I would usually fly nonstop between Frankfurt & Chicago but back then there was only economy, business & first class. I’m ‘5’ “11” so while I’m not really tall I’m also not short & legroom on flights can be an issue sometimes so if I ever flew to Europe again this is something I’d try because for someone my height that could make a big difference.
I generally travel Delta Comfort+ when flying to Europe, but in May I was in Premium Economy. I was looking forward to the footrest, but I couldn’t figure out how to work it. And none of the flight attendants had a clue. We didn’t get paper menus OR seat operation instructions. It wasn’t until halfway through the 9-hour flight that I finally got the footrest to work. I would not pay extra for Premium. Comfort+ is okay, although I’d love a lie-flat seat on the outward leg.
Interesting that they allowed you in priority lane on first leg. I’ve usually only been given it for the leg I’ve purchased. Did you get any baggage allowance? If it makes $$ sense I try to do first leg upgrade because then my checked bags are included - just depends on the cost. I find I don’t like bulkhead seats either mainly because I like to have my backpack under the seat in front of me and sometimes there are restrooms right by the bulkhead and people tend to gather and wait in line there at times.
Not a fan of bulk head. you have no where to keep your things. I have a P economy ticket (Mia-London). When and how is the best time to try and up-grade? Thank you.
We flew Premium Economy with Air Canada to London last year and would agree, that even though we appreciated the extras, it was not worth TWICE the price. That being said, we are doing it again, but in Economy with British Air next week. When we get back we will have to decide how we will go next year. We hope our Economy experience will not be so bad that we opt for Premium again, but it might be. Thanks for all your reviews.
Did you know that employees of airlines who are going on a non revenue ticket get priority benefits too if they list themselves for Business Class or Premium Economy? Also, I love to fly in Premium Economy because due to my high status, I can use a Global Upgrade Certificate to upgrade to Delta One or if I’m flying United, I like to use my Plus Points to upgrade to Polaris.
The advert was for Coach. Geared to 20somethings. Economy plus works fine for me on international flights. I am around 6' 2" so definitely appreciate the extra legroom. Don't really have the budget for more than that honestly. All the things you mentioned like the attendants calling you by name is cool but not worth the money at least to me.
Premium economy used to be much cheaper than what we paying now. But long international flights. I will suck it up and pay a bit more to have extra room and luggage space.
FYI, Delta got rid of it's International First Class in the 1990's. There is only (Domestic Transcon/International) Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Domestic First Class, Delta Comfort, & Economy; in that order.
I'm what you called "fluffy", so I appreciate everi extra inch of seat width. Also I have a problem with one leg swelling up, so the leg rest would be really appreciated.
Have flown the Delta A330 AMS to Salt Lake City (10.5 hours) multiple times - like the Comfort + product (2 seats on the side) much better than the Premium Select which was $500 more per person. Did not find the seat particularly more comfortable and the food was typically awful. Next flights i am happily booked in Comfort +.
As an obese flyer, i prefer premium economy for a little extra room in the seat. I don't want to encroach on others for that long (international flights). For domestic, i fly regular seats. I fit regular seats, but just. A little wiggle room on long flights is a must.
I'm 6'1"/350 lbs. I've flown from Seoul to Calgary (Canada) 5 times in economy. I'm flying again at the beginning of October and have opted to spring for Delta Premium Plus this time as I just don't want to be cramped. I can let you know how it compares then of you want.
I have one coming up soon, and i havent flown internationally before, so i was wondering, do i get to keep the pillow and the blanket too? or am i just borrowing these? Im sure they know if you steal the headphones XD
Hey Morgan, we booked a KLM flight in May 2024 (Amsterdam to Toronto) and the only (reasonable) option we were given was "Comfort Economy" ....there was not option for Premium Economy for that flight.... Hopefully that will be an option for us at some point...
Our daughter booked us in premium economy for our trip back from TA to Lisbon. I think about $5300 for the 4 of us. The price jumped several hundred per ticket less than an hour later. It's almost as cheap to cruise if you have the time. It's a shame the girls need to get back for work.
We fly first class with Delta. Cost vs benefits…..worth it. Husband disabled so extra room helps. First on, first off, guaranteed overhead storage, fed so you don’t have to stop when you land. Not everyone can afford it so understand. First class, everything is china, glass, silverware.
when possible i try to book "first" when flying domestic and Premium economy when flying overseas. The bigger seat makes all the difference and I have arm rests to myself the whole flight
I'm flying united in the fall to Singapore from Vancouver via San Fran to go on Celebrity Edge downunder. The basic economy was $1500 and their Economy plus was $12000. I could have got a first class ticket for $8000. It was insane. Maybe because I have 2 one way tickets. But still. The flight back is from OZ. I guess I will survive in economy for 15-16 hours. At lease my TA got me an upgrade to Aqua Class for $300 from a normal balcony. I think that's worth the extra cost. With my tips costing that.
They (this was Iceland Air) upgraded me because of a run-about they have given me. It was lovely because I need butt room more than leg room. I felt so bad though, they offered me prosecco (I have reflux so I can't have that) and then the meals came around and they had tomato on them and I'm allergic. So there I was in the top seats, drinking water and eating Instant noodles out of the peasant menu LOL.
Oh no! You can order special meals on the airlines websites after you book your flight! If you can't find it, contact them directly or use a travel agent to have them help you out!
The older I get the more I think I’m worth the extra $$. I think about all the $$ I spent for my boys sports camps, trainers, equipment. (Still have 1 more at home) so YES - spend a little on the parents to enjoy the finer (roomier) things.
💯 % agreed 👍
Amen
Yeah but don’t waste it on this product…so not worth it.
On long flights, the improvement to space makes a multi hour flight enjoyable.
Friends with an older (86) man at my gym who always tells me “either fly first class or your kids will when you’re dead”.
I’m going to bring my own table cloth to drape over my tray table on my next coach flight. Keeping it classy. 😜
I did that when my husband and I were riding AMTRAK up the East Coast! Tablecloth and led candle.
😂
Amen!
I see a man becoming a business class fan step by step. That makes me very happy. Soon you won't have to sleep on the floor in front of your seat if you want a flat inflight bed. And soon you can afford it too, now that you've reached 60,000 subscribers. Congratulations. 😉
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. It’s so detailed with important information. Thank you.
I love your Mom's flowery sofa😁
I love flying Delta Premium serviced by KLM. I used my credit flying from Calgary to Madrid via Amsterdam & return last year, I had the seat by the window on bulkhead and placed my backpack on the overhead compartment. I appreciated all its benefits which at 72 yrs of age made for a better experience especially after spending 8 weeks walking 825 km on dusty roads in Northern Spain🤩
Enjoy your time back in Minnesota💖
She said she is so happy you like her sofa, but is worried that it looks faded in the video :-)
I hear you about the bulkhead seats. I am always torn. The benefit of not having someone instantly putting their seat back outways any other issues. Seems to me like I am the person that always has someone putting their chair back as far as they can the minute they can then the claustrophia sets in.
Me too! I choose bulkhead 100% of the time for the same reason.
I always end up with bulkhead because my tall husband strongly prefers it. Like Morgan, I'd rather have the underseat storage and the seat back video screen. I try to compensate by removing whatever I'll need from my bag before stowing it overhead, but it's still kind of a hassle.
Also it is nice if you are taking your fur baby in a carrier comes you more room.
I hope you enjoy the upgrade and feel like it was worth it for you!
I Have Experience Delta Business Class And Premium Econom On The A350-900 And A330-900neo One Of Best Flight Of My Life.Great Trip Report
Great video, thank you! This helped make my decision about the price between Premium and Economy for an international flight.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for writing that comment and for the support! It really means a lot to me!
Thank you for the review we happen to be booked in these seats on our next international flights.
This sucker had supposed to give you, your assigned seat, i would had report him, fast!
But the space is guaranteed
That's because DL pulled out of MNL.
Yup, circa 2018, food was near identical to what they served in Delta One sans an appetizer or warm nuts? But now, it's basically economy food, economy chair, and economy service. Not worth it unless you're 6ft and need the extra space.
Agree!!! Delta has gone downhill.
Hi from Minnesota!
Yes, alcohol included in international flights.
Premium select has its own menu, better than economy.
I've been considering which class of Delta I want to book for an upcoming trip between Detroit and Portland. After watching this vid, I've decided to go for the upgrade, because I want them to call me Mr. O'Brian.
Haha. Let me know if it works!
Thanks for this. We are considering upgrading for seat comfort. We are both tall. Still on the fence for Premium ECONOMY.
Commercial break at 14:45 was Expedia and Jan 6th documentary
We were very happy flying Premium Economy with AA from Frankfurt to Seattle. As we are tall it made a huge difference and was much more comfortable for us.
th
My Commercial brake at 14:45 was about Bumble
I'm glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Oh dang! That was really a missed opportunity!
Oh wow, I never thought about the "firmness" of the seat. Thanks for adding that to the discussion!
Thanks for informative video. I am 6'6 so it would be a consideration on a long flight.
We now fly southwest and switch
One has to go to the international terminal anyway AND we don’t pay for bags on the way over.
I get claustrophobic on a plane so sitting up front is more comfortable. Great video and very detailed. Thank you I loved it!
Glad it was helpful!
My ad was for the uergo portable neck fan
I've been happy with Comfort+.
I think you would enjoy the difference for sure!
I find that Delta Comfort+ isn't that much an upgrade from economy. I wouldn't do that again.
Agree, like Comfort plus over regular economy.
On long flights, size matters.
I only came here to see the seat recline, only thing I care about seeing, did I miss it or didn’t you show it?
We have enjoyed “Stitches On A Cruise Ship.” It’s a pleasant, funny, quick read. It’s perfect for cruise, river cruise or beach. 👍
What's the difference between Delta Premium Select and Delta Premium Economy?
It's business class DL doesn't offer international F. Haven't for years, nor does KLM
Only thing I give a crap about is seat recline without spending 5k. Got to look at at premium
Good review 👍
I have delta they gave me comfort class whatever that is
I'm what you called "fluffy", so I appreciate everi extra inch of seat width.
Could you speak to your dimensions? The 18.5 to 19 inches doesn’t seem worth it compared to standard 18 inch seats.
The ad was for the cute little boutique Target 🎯
Oh I've never heard of that place. Must be a local mom & pop shop, right? :-P
I have one coming up soon, and i havent flown internationally before, so i was wondering, do i get to keep the pillow and the blanket too? or am i just borrowing these?
Im sure they know if you steal the headphones XD
I guess you are actually not supposed to take any of it with you except for the little goody bag! #oops
Hey Morgan, we booked a KLM flight in May 2024 (Amsterdam to Toronto) and the only (reasonable) option we were given was "Comfort Economy" ....there was not option for Premium Economy for that flight.... Hopefully that will be an option for us at some point...
See if it appears when you are checking in and then consider upgrading!
I would definitely do the comfort plus and up on All flights internationally.
Growing up, having a disposable product meant luxury. Then it became the norm, and now we're going backwards with all the single use products bans.
This is a great review. It's very fair in the information. Also what part of MN is you mom in? We're in St Michael, NW of the metro.
St Paul!
Plus lounges for those who have long layovers.
Our daughter booked us in premium economy for our trip back from TA to Lisbon. I think about $5300 for the 4 of us. The price jumped several hundred per ticket less than an hour later. It's almost as cheap to cruise if you have the time. It's a shame the girls need to get back for work.
thanks!!!!
We fly first class with Delta. Cost vs benefits…..worth it. Husband disabled so extra room helps. First on, first off, guaranteed overhead storage, fed so you don’t have to stop when you land. Not everyone can afford it so understand. First class, everything is china, glass, silverware.
Any flight that I have done premium, the food is the same as business class. Just not served as fancy.
when possible i try to book "first" when flying domestic and Premium economy when flying overseas. The bigger seat makes all the difference and I have arm rests to myself the whole flight
Ad for VRBO. Welcome back to MN. Watch out for the state bird buzzing in your ear
So worth it for tall folks but not for short-arses. Got it. Thanks.
Why are the prices like that sometimes? I seriously don't get it.
Was this done with green screen?
Of course, I spent a whole weekend at Industrial Light and Magic in California to produce this :-P
Love this review. Others just show the size of the seat .
Ad was Indiana Jones
They (this was Iceland Air) upgraded me because of a run-about they have given me. It was lovely because I need butt room more than leg room. I felt so bad though, they offered me prosecco (I have reflux so I can't have that) and then the meals came around and they had tomato on them and I'm allergic. So there I was in the top seats, drinking water and eating Instant noodles out of the peasant menu LOL.
Oh no! You can order special meals on the airlines websites after you book your flight! If you can't find it, contact them directly or use a travel agent to have them help you out!
The term bulkhead comes from ships.
That's a great perspective you can totally buy some great headphones and meals with those hundreds of dollars
My commercial was a Television series called "Cruel Summer".
Sounds like the end of "Crime of the Century" in 1993 :-P
Very true.
Try Business Class. The first time we did to Europe that is the only way we go now. 1000% better.
