Yeah they have current flights to Australia already, I think to Perth. The airline to me felt like JetBlue, since they're regional mostly, but also has a few long-haul international flights

Yeah it can be very very lackluster compared to the competition. I upgraded though since I didn't want to lose the travel credit. But at least it was still better than economy on AA haha, and at least the staff on this flight were good

For 100% disabled veterans, I know one travel benefit you get in many airports is 30 consecutive days of free parking. May not seem like a lot but can be save you quite a bit. I checked if there's USO access but apparently not. Priority boarding may also be an option as, sometimes flights will announce it and some don't. If it looks enough like a CAC, def worth a shot at these last two options.
