Why don't you ever show any videos of Ares or Athena on an 80 inch rack? It would be good to see what this looks like on the shorter rack as many of us have this. Wondering if it even works with the shorter height and the top taken up by the cross members that need to be bolted on.
Looking super forward to it to be honest. So much customizability. It's honestly a situation where I will likely end up with 1 stack and one plate loaded due to space limitations. Super cool stuff. Keep doing what you do rep.
The value here is insane, especially considering there's a plate loaded option. I think this is going to be one of the more popular attachments once it launches!
The negative is that it's not as much capacity as the Ares
This was ridiculously well covered/explained… this is what customers crave lol keep it up REP!
Great video. Thoughtful and hits every questions.
Great video and excellent new products! Keep up the great work.
Thank you Rep for the informative video and your engineering genius
As someone limited by space constraints, the Athena definitely fits the bill of adding more functionality with minimal compromise in space. I plan to use the Gympin D handle bar to combine the front attachment points to double the weight for low rows/lat pull down.
Good stuff guys. Can’t wait till I get mine.
Great option for anyone limited on space which is pretty much all of us!! The outtake was funny!😂
GENIUS. Rep nails it every time. Leaving every other company in the dust. I have so much respect for this company and it’s ability to know what the consumer wants. Kudos!!! 🎉💪🎊💪
Did you buy one?
Space is always a limiting factor in most home gyms. This adds variety without taking up an extra inch!
Oh damn. I just bought a pr4000 with the selectorizer lat down. I wanted to get the dual sides too but wasn't sure how or if that that was compatible (even with the 6 post).
Advice: On your website you have this cool feature where you can build your rack from scratch and add attachments and such, however you should add the options to add the lat pull downs and dual pulleys too. This would've been helpful to me to know if it works
REP: “Damn it! We forgot about the Athena video!! 😱😱
Would love to eventually see a 2 post version that can be mounted to a wing
I see some potential into turning the Athena into a smith machine, especially the plate loaded version
The Ares was perfect for me. Dual Athena sectorized and sectorized lat pulldown would be even better, but has more costs and a slightly larger footprint, plus I do get more weight on the front pulleys with Ares. Also, you put Ares for the 11 second point instead of Athena.
Athena has less max weight than Ares
@@avinashtyagi2 That is correct and what I wrote about front pulleys. The lat pull-down and low row weight is only different by 10 pounds. Ares 620 lb is 310 pounds due to 2:1 ratio and the sectorized lat pull-down is 300 pounds due to 1:1 ratio.
Are you guys going to make a installation video for the selectorized lat low row?
Would you need foot stabilizers on a selectorized Athena in a 16 + 16 configuration?
Do u need the 2" spacers for every weight storage pin or just the bottom weight storage pins
Any chance we see the Rep utility seat before the end of the year?
The weight stack upgrade for the athena isn't available to purchase. Can I simply buy that later? Will adding the weight stack after initial installation is complete change anything to the athena's initial setup or install?
Will you develop anything similar to this for the omni rack?
If I have a four post with foot extension will the extension get in the way of the iso arms? For example to deadlift with them.
So if I understood rigjt the athenas won't work with the 4 post pr4000 right it needs to be a 6 post rack right?
Who is buying this and struggling to afford an extra band
Rep I have a question- Are the weight stack plates used on the Athena and a Selectorized lat low row the same plates that are on the Ares?
With Athena work with the globe front mount pull up bar?
Can the athena be used as a lat pull down and low row machine?
So athenas only works with 6 post on pr4000 and if I buy a 30" gym pin could I join the two weight stacks for lat pull downs right?
Is there an assembly video for this anywhere?
Is the 16 in the back a minimum? What if your 6 post rack has 30 inch storage in the back? Does the Athena just attach near the front of it?
where is the assembly video?
I would really like to see a 4 post pr-4000 option. I do not care about having west side or even 1 inch spacing for the trolleys.
I tried building this exact set up on your website plus the lat pull down/seated row addition. I don't think I am putting it together correctly though.
We are happy to walk you through any build - drop us an email or give us a ring. We definitely want to make sure you're choosing the right build for your training - repfitness.com/pages/contact-us
@Rep Fitness can you please show us ideal setup for Athena along with iso arms? Is there any way we can setup we can use both without having to remove iso arms?
The best way is to have the trolleys go above the ISO Arms. This would limit just the lowest position for the trolleys and the highest for the iso arms. But it's workable.
Would love to see how Area/Athena is effected by having 80" uprights. Tall people with short racks :O
Also, did you say you can incline bench w/ a selectorized lat/low, but NOT with Ares?
I love that they have it in 80" though because it fits in most basements
Can you choose not to install the band pegs, particularly the bottom ones? The 4” or so for each peg on the inside of my rack won’t allow me to store my tower and bench inside my rack when I’m not using it. Hoping the band peg portion is optional to install, and possibly able to add back on later.
The top ones are apart of the Athena so they have to stay but they don’t seem to stick out as much as the bottom. If you have extra bolts from your rack assembly you could just use one in place of the peg or you would just have to go buy a bolt and nut for it.
Adding additional crossmembers and uprights to be able to support weight horn storage is defeating the purpose of creating a smaller footprint and lowering the cost with the plate loaded version. Plus. Nobody wants to use a weight tree or mount their stuff to the wall if they already have the horns lol. The only realistic option would be to get the selectorized version on both sides.
what if I have a 6 post PR4000 rack config, but the front 4 post are 93", while the rear 2 are 80" (just a weird room setup I have that has height restrictions on the back). Any chance I could make Athena work by feeding the top cable that runs horizontally through the holes in the front posts vs running it on top of the rack?
Good question for our CS team - they may have to consult our engineers on staff who designed this - repfitness.com/pages/contact-us
Where's the assembly video for the Athena??
Will the 4 post plate loadable option be available soon?
For inventory related questions, our CS team has that info... repfitness.com/pages/contact-us
Can you choose selectorized plates from the inside of the rack?
Or do you need to go around to each side to change weight?
Also, are the numbers only on the outside of the selectorized plates?
I would like to know this as well. Hopefully so, so weights can be added and selected without the 45s at the bottom getting in the way.
Yes all you have to do is move the pin to the inside. Same goes for the weight markings which you actually have to stick on yourself so you would just need to put those on the inside with the pin.
@@dillonwilkins7825 I can't come in from either side on any of my other selectorized gear. Are you claiming to know this for a fact?
@@ChrisPBacon3000 I don't want to tell you this is a fact and you make a high dollar purchase and it is not correct but I assembled left and right on a pr4000 6 post early this week and that is the case for me. The holes go all the way through the weight plates and the ring that attaches the pin cord is in the center at the top so you just move the pin to the inside. Like you are saying it is much more convenient that way.
Can you have both sides with the same type of weight stack, as in plate loaded on both sides
Yep, and it's an option on the Athena page - you can see the images of both the selectorized/plate loaded here - repfitness.com/collections/cable-rack-attachments
Why didn't they show putting plate horns in the back of the rack
Question : Why does adding a Selectorized Lat Low row to the back of a 4 Post PR5000 rack with the Athena add 19.5 inches ? And only 9 inches on a 6 post rack ? Where is the extra depth on the 4 post rack coming from ? Your using a 2.0 RBS so shouldn’t the added depth on a 6 and 4 post rack be the same ?
I think this is because in a 6 post rack, you’re mounting the RBS to the middle posts (out of 6) whereas in the 4 post, they’re mounting them to the back on the 4 posts. Seems like in a 4 post config, you could mount it either to the front or the back if you wanted though
What about 80”, what are the disadvantages vs 93” Athena particularly for someone around 6ft 2in?

Will the system work on a Rogue Monster 6 post rack?
Sorry, the Athena/Ares are complex cable attachments that require a bunch of height/dims to be the same. REP only
Can I use the plates and 300lb selector pin in the Athena to upgrade the stack? I'm not worried about cable lengths. I can cut and crimp my own cable, It's very easy
Good question for our customer support team. Not everyone is comfortable with a bit of DIY... but I don't want to give a definitive answer to this as our CS team can speak with our engineers on site to see what is possible - repfitness.kustomer.help/contact/contact-us-ByBLVnT3q
Did you end up doing this?
J&J is like P&J it just works
When will the Ares or Athena will be purchasable in Europe?
This year! Sign up here: repfitness.com/pages/international-distribution
Hoping for compatibility with Rogue Monster…
Disregard…watched whole video (great video btw) and definitely not compatible. Damn.
Why don't you add an option to extend the back section and provide the clearance necessary so you can have weight storage and utilize the plate loaded option? Problem solved.
8:21 that’s all I needed to hear
Will this work with a 6 posts Omni Rack?
That's cute, I'd rather get the ares
recommends front foot extension, doesn't use front foot extensions
Athena selectorized with added weight stacks and a center lat/low row > ares. Don’t @ me.
Boo. You can’t use this on a PR-4000 16” half rack
