Hoopers guitars just hit you differently. Every time i hear one i always think to myself man that is the best sounding guitar ive ever heard. I love to watch you play but i found myself closing my eyes and just listening. Beautiful instrument and top notch playing. Love these videos and always look forward to the next one. Waiting for the Henderson that will inevitability show up in this series. Good stuff man...
Man I sure do appreciate it! You should always close your eyes when I’m playing lol no one should have to see such a side lol. 😂 it has been a ball recording all of these, and we are just getting started on putting them out. At least we will enjoy mahogany for several weeks now lol.

Another awesome video man....These D-18s sound so clean and deep...I had to get rid of my Alvarez DYM-60HD, unfortunately, which is rough to accept, was the best guitar I was ever able to afford and own, ...but alas, the Lord always has a plan...God bless, hope you and yours are doing well.

Very nice ..another Monster..Power, balance and tone is similar to an Edmunds D18...Does this have P.B. or 80/20 mediums? XS? Shawn have you decided if the present day XS 80/20 have improved from the original XS 80/20??
Hi Bill, man I’m sorry for the late response, I meant to email you back. Yes, all of the guitars in this collection have medium XS PB, and the pick is a TS 1.2 mm of recent acquisition. I do believe that the 80/20 XS underwent a great improvement after the initial release, though I don’t know if I’m willing to say they are better than the PB. They are definitely more fundamental heavy, and don’t have as complex of overtones. on some instruments, that’s a positive, but a pretty dry mahogany guitar, it could be a negative.
