Coil your CPU cooler cable. Use your preferred screwdriver, and the cable will hold the shape. Makes your build clean, and also a great option if you don't have a spot to "hide" the cable.
Nice video! As for MATX in a bigger case, I like my black MATX motherboard in a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini ATX case. This case can be nicely tailored for an MATX motherboard. However, overall, you are absolutely right.
You didn’t mention that in a build with no glass side panel with a case like a Sama s88-bk it doesn’t matter about the board, just the cable management. It’s better from an aesthetic view, but it also depends on WHERE your case is or WHAT it is since you could also have a glass paneled case on the floor or even have the glass facing towards the wall
I have done that before, but it was a temporary pc for a friend made from parts i had laying around, the cooler master storm stryker case with a mini itx motherboard, it looked funny xD
I have many ATX Mid Towers. However, with the advent of M.2 High capacity and a graphics card is all you need. A Micro ATX or a Mini ITX is the way to go unless, you need the expansion an ATX gives. I put my Micros in an ATX Case until I find a Micro Case that case easily holds 2 SATA hard dives I use for mass storage.
Hey Zach, been wondering for a CPU for my build as I want a PC that's 50/50 gaming and productivity (Video editing, music production, photo editing, the likes) but I can't get a clear answer on what to use. 7800x3d and 7900x are both $485, 7900x3d is $510, and 7950x3d is $660 and I'm on a bit of a budget. Do I wait for ryzen 9000 series to see if the 2 CCD thing changes or do I bite the bullet on a 7000 series?
I know im not Zach, but he doesnt usually reply on UA-cam anyway. Ideally, you would want a CPU with a lot of cores and cache for your specific needs. The 7950x isn't worth the $150 more if you aren't doing frequent and serious video editing, so I'd go with the 7900x which has a lot of L3 cache as well as 12 cores. You usually don't want to wait too long when buying PC parts because new and better parts will always keep coming out.
@@simracingcentral10 I wasn't sure since the 7900x3d only has 6 cores with the 3d cache and I'm not sure how many the 7950x3d has got, but I'd assume it would be 8. Also I have once been lucky and actually had Zach make a response video to one of my comments before so I still have some hope
@@MastrPunchr Yeah. I forgot about that. The 7800X3D would obviously be the one to go with if you are only gaming but that's not the case. Maybe the 7950X3D could be an option if the extra 2 cores accessing L3 cache matters to you to the point where it justifies the $150 more price tag.
@@MastrPunchr It's all about, if you wanna wait or not. If you don't, then buy right now. Or just wait until september-ish (amd estimates release by then) when they come into stock with the 9000s x3ds. Couple of years ago I've made a mistake of buying mATX mobo, then I upgraded to a big GPU and I ended up with all sata ports except one covered by it. I had to use crappy sata to usb adapter that I connected to back IO. It was a mess. Always buy full ATX if you can.

Oh, also, I run a massive case, the BeQuiet! Silent Base 802. Its a fricken awesome case thats massive.
