US Open you are killing it with your editing of match highlights and providing so many extended, I'm literally going to be watching these for weeks/months after the tourney, so great, thank you
Did Evans hit any topspin backhands? Looking at the highlights they are rarer than snow in July. He was always around the 60-70% mark on his slice but it seems that is even higher now!
Looks like the only one he hit sailed long. Playing the slice low to Karen’s backhand was the plan. Since Karen hits with an extreme western grip, the slice painted him in a corner of defense rather than offense. Keeping him there was the only way Dan had a chance at winning.
Just goes to show how important consistency and defense is in tennis. If you're competing in the US Open you're already an elite. Evans has no weapon to attack his opponent with but still made it to the upper echelon of tennis and competes in grand slams by being consistent.
Clueless comment. People think a great slice is somewhat negative - Evans' is actually a weapon. He has arguably the best volleys on tour, and a very high tennis IQ. You do not get to near top 20 on the planet with 'no weapons'

this was NECESSARY. thank you
Dan Evans such a legend. Saw him drop £10k on a horse at Epsom last month. Goes and does this at the US open. Class.
Gotta applaud Evans for coming back after loosing the first set and 4-0 down in the last. Guy got mental strength.

I don’t know how long it would take for me to mentally recover from losing 6 straight games after going up 4-0 in the fifth set.
5 hours 35 minutes in the longest match in US Open history
That's I wanted to comment. Definitely! Khachanov will never forgive himself and never forget this
Nah i would be crying for a week if i lost
Us OPEN da goat of highlights
I wanted so much for Khachanov to win; and so sad to see in the 5. set, he had 4-0 and the Britt won
Wow!
Imagine going 4-0 in 5th set and you are going lose it
From smashing your racket to 6 games in a row. Crazy
How many backhands did Evans hit in the game?
Once it went to a fifth I assumed Dan's lifestyle would result in him losing 6-0!!
Oh he's a wildman? Cool I've always loved him that just adds to it.
Evans has no weapon he can only hope the other guys misses. Pro level pusher that wins, crazy

Right... So 14 aces and 53 winners is zero weapons. Gotcha
Widely regarded as one of the best volleyers on tour
Dan is a very capable player, he's been ranked as high as 21, didn't get there by chance. Why so negative?
