    Yours has SO MANY LEAVES!!
    I have one that's about that tall, but it's only got a few big leaves up top...

    I just bought one of these last night. It is so lovely and dainty ❤❤❤ It's funny, when I was a kid I thought ficus were ugly plants. Now I have a whole collection of them 😊❤

    Don't worry about leaf lost, that's normal with all ficus. Only report if you see the roots coming out of the top or bottom. Don't give up on it lol

    Really beautiful!! I had mine too close to a southern facing window so a couple leaves were burned. Have you seen the way that some are bending the trunks of these? Google spiraling of ficus umbellata. It's really cool looking but I'm too chicken to give it a try.

    Mine was out on a lanai and was sensitive to the cold temperatures that we had for about a week or two (in Florida also). It lost its leaves (well some of them). I thought it was dying. but it is growing well now that the weather has warmed up. I want it to branch out, so I chopped its top off ( I saw a Japanese plant guy on youtube who had done this to his which then had a branching growth pattern). I saved the top and put it in water to propagate some roots and get a second plant. I am hoping the stem that is in the pot will grow more leaves and branch out.

    I got mine from n 4” pot and she was doing fine. Then her leaves fell off and she started putting out new leaves. Now again she’s lost leaves and looks Terrible. I’ve had her for a long too me so I’m going to repot!

      @@davidguerrero5753 indoors surrounded by the other ficuses. I’m not giving up though. I’m repotting her see if that the problem, and I think it is when I I see my finger for dryness I can feel the roots. Any advice?

    I need encouragement and support 😩😩😩 I just picked up one of these babies that's like 8 ft tall (because it was only $25 from my local nursery). It was completely growing out of the pot and into the ground, so I had to get some help. Well the nursery workers just took a shovel and basically chopped the roots. I managed to get it home and it's looking real droopy. Should I cleanly cut the roots that are outside of the pot a bit, with some sterile pruners, before repotting? Or wait completely until it starts to look better? Ugh, impulsive buys 😅

      Oh goodness! First of all wishing all the best~
      Essentially having unearthed the pot/plant from the ground it’ll be a bit shocked, hopefully nothing a good repotting can’t help make happy again.
      If the roots outside the pot don’t look too.. fresh/fleshy and are kind of looking dried out and ineffective I would prune them. Hopefully it gets acclimated to your new home soon especially after repotting!

    How tall would this grow if planted outside in zone 10a?

    • @davidguerrero5753
      @davidguerrero5753  Рік тому +1

      I haven’t seen it outside in 10a yet, I’d seen one in a pot that was about 7 feet tall. Between it being a rather thin trunk /stemmed plant and it’s large leaves I would worry about it a little bit in some of the harsher climates and conditions. I’d seen some videos of it in more heavily planted and shaded areas where it can stretch out a bit for support and became pretty big!
