To add to your tips about light levels: The more light you can give them, the faster it will grow. It will also become a lot bushier in higher light levels, especially if you put it outside. They can definetly tolerate at least partial sun, since they are grown like that in warm countries. HOWEVER, if you want to put them in high light levels, make sure that you acclimate them to higher light levels slowly. If you do it too quickly, the chloroplasts in the leaves will die and your leaves will look burned.
Most fig plants have similar light level needs, I tested this with a weeping fig and a rubber fig too, it works well.

Yes. They definitely can tolerate higher levels of lighting, but like you said they need to acclimated slowly. Here in Florida you can see them growing outdoors year round in a landscape. Thanks for watching.

Checking the top two inches of soil before watering is not telling you how wet or dry it is down around root ball and roots. You need to use a moisture meter and insert prongs half way down in soil to see how wet soil is. You need to let the soil dry out somewhat before watering. The roots need to have access to oxygen. If roots can’t get oxygen then they are going to shut down and die!

At 7:30 I saw that you cut the stem in the bottom. I have a stem like that which has many healthy leaves and it looks like it can be another main stem if I cut it right. Should I just cut or try to separate it from the main tree from the root?

Hi❤ thank you for a wonderful video❤i have a question 😢😢😢 it's been two week that i got it from the store it has only seven leaves and there were lots of brown dots on them😢i thought i could change it so first i got it to home and clean its soil and wash the roots and i put everything needed in my soil like you said and gave it a very nice shower but and watered enough water 😢😢😢now leaves still look awful and dots again and it already lost her very new leaf 😢now other leaves are also drying out even if they are green🤔. It was standing next to my window 😢 it's so sad i got it for little expensive price but also i wanted to grow it so badly😢😔

Small red dots are a sign of overwatering. Could it be that it already had root rot? How did the roots look?

@@monstrofarm hi thank you for answering 💕 Root was very healthy and i checked it yesterday there's no root rot but leaves are dropping green 💚 and got one of those healthy ones and put into water to propogate

I would have it alone to see what I does, but let it dry out so it can recover.
You can also propagate the top if you're scared it's going to die.

It might be overwatering or unwatering. Draining problems could contribute as well 😢 I’m sorry :((
