The LORD’s WORK
Hey little boys are always knuckle heads when they’re young. I’m looking forward to your roadtrip stories.
Great timing for this video -- I'm importing my first JDM, an Autozam (Mazda) Scrum Truck, and had no idea what to expect at the port. Things will differ a bit here in Canada, but I get the gist. BTW, it took me 9 weeks just to get a shipping date from purchase (departure is on Friday!) and the shipping takes another 7 weeks. That's a LONG wait!
Congrats! Best of luck. Sometimes the process can be overwhelming, just wanted to share with everyone how it works in "general". Thanks!
So cool! You made it look so easy to get in there and pick your car up.
Not tough after a few trips. That first trip was a true "Excuse me sir, where do I go...." moment. lol
@@rhd_ron So insightful, thanks for recording all this for us champ! Very helpful, I’ve got the popcorn ready for the next one… can’t wait🤙🏼
@@nybk331 Thanks for the support. I'm here for YOU GUYS! I've kind of taken a liking to this video stuff too.....More on the way!
Making it look easy. Nice ITR.
Thank you sir! Car was surprisingly clean and runs amazing!
Oo man that thing is beautiful
Thank you thank you. Yes I was VERY impressed in the overall condition when it arrived! Once cleaned up and maintenance is performed, it will be available....just saying. Haha
Great video. I live right outside of Knoxville and I’m hoping to buy my first K truck soon. Can you recommend a customs agent?
Lmao, he’s got a real attitude problem
That guy drafted my bumper the whole way too.
I dunno lets try it
Why not? May as well. Time permits. lol
I ordered a Honda Acty to port Jacksonville figured I’d try without a broker first with a cheap Honda same as you did did you use a broker or did you do it yourself thank you for your videos
I agree, with the right mindset and organization skills anyone can do it on their own. However, I recommend using a broker the first go around so you understand the process and do not miss something very important. There are wharfage charges, port charges, the EPA/DOT forms, Delivery order for the port, etc. I could do it on my own now but I still pay a broker. It's just good to have someone looking out on your behalf. That's just my recommendation. Thanks!
How did you find out that the vehicle is ready to be picked up at the port? Thanks
I tracked the ship to the port. My broker did the paperwork and told me when it was cleared to pickup.👍
What website can you order a car and what's the total cost from order to pick up.
There are many different websites. Cost depends on purchase price in regards to import taxes and fees. There are also people like @allthingzjdm that can source cars for you.
Got one more question! I hired a Customs Broker to handle my ISF+Bond and will be paying them to do my port clearance as well. Do I have to fill out the CBP-7501, HS-7, and EPA forms? Or is that part of the port clearance I will be paying my broker for?
Either you or your broker will
Need to fill those out. These will be used to
Clear your shipment by your broker around 2-3 days before your ship
Lands. Thanks!
I want to make sure I understand. Is this Georgia port credential something I need even though I have a TWIC card? If so, is this something I can get there or do I do this online?
You only need the GA Port credentials if you are picking up more than 5 times in a year.
@@rhd_ron Thank you very much!
Can you pick up without a twic if it's a one time thing?
Have to at least have a TWIC to go unescorted by yourself. The GA Port credential you don’t have to have if you aren’t picking up more than 5 times per year. TWIC is a must for a solo run, otherwise you have to get a port escort which is around $150 for two hrs.
What broker did you use?
Ron how can I contact you
