It's hard to believe with fresh decals and a little elbow grease on the body looks a million times better especially with those fogs gone great job dude
Even the paint matches better now that it is buffed out. Also, leave it to you to remove the spoiler and buff the underside. Lol. Just another example that opens my mind to what attention to detail truly it.
Nice work, bro. Amazing to have a true red badge Honda!
Seth goes in hard on the details 💯%
Finally fog lights gone , that jdm front end is looking juicy
It made such a huge difference!
Now it looks like a premium Type R. Congratulations once again.
Your attention to detail is second to none.
Most of us normal folk would’ve been fine with a car wash and vacuum and started driving that jewel.
But you bring your cars to another level.
Oooh , the unique sound of that Mitsuba starter motor on the B series engines , brings back memories 😢
Love the attention to detail. Thanks for sharing the links of different parts and sources. I really appreciate it .
That buff you gave the ITR came out breath taking!!! It looks Amazing!!! Great Job!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I don't know why I was surprised when you removed the spoiler to polish the boot (trunk), but then I guess that's what makes your channel. Excellent work sir, look forward to the next one
Thank you!
Great job Seth. Like others have said, get your parts now, stock is low. I've missed out on several parts that I was going to pick up for my type R next time to find out they had been discontinued.
Nice work. Glad to see you nuked the ricey fog lamps. I recently removed a set of aftermarket fogs from my CRX, but had to have the bumper professionally restored because part of the bumper grille was cut off to install them.
Luckily, these fog lights were just double-sided taped on.
Awesome Vid. I just received my '96 DB8 Type R a couple months ago. Cool to see others with em and enjoying them too!
My buddies 01 USDM ITR came with the quarter panel decal crooked. Drove me nuts!
That car is looking beautiful as it should . Good job with the detailing . Soon your Chanel will be DC2SETH
Since you already have the facelifted 98 rear bumper, might as well get the 98 5-lug knuckles + the 16" rims. Then visually it's perfect😉
I actually like the stock 15” four lug wheels.
Fair enough, I have 15" regamaster on mine😁 & tein-flex coilovers.
@@mikehoh8328 I definitely need to find some nicer affordable coilovers at some point.
@@crxseth BC coilovers maybe? Some Hardrace camber adjusters too while you're at it.
Sick video! This build is going to be soo good. Its already perfect but mann the paintis just beautiful
your attention to detail on everything is amazing
I love your videos 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for the support!
Rear Spoiler on These are Perfect clean and slick looking and I love the INTEGRA name Embossed into the Bumper
Spoiler off resto! love it. Well done
It’s crazy how good that meguiars compound is.. beautiful car bro.
A little bit of love really brought this back to life! Seems like a great base to actually drive and enjoy without out the cost and stress of a mint, 50k km chassis. Spruce it up and bit and send it! Love the direct this thing is heading and now really excited to try polishing mine as well.!
Thanks! Polishing white is pretty easy and forgiving. Just watch a couple videos on how to do it and you can really bring some life back to old paint. Can’t wait to see your GSR back to life!
Definitely huge progress with just some time correcting the paint!
Thank you for loving that car.
Looking good mate 👌🏻
Man it looking so clean 🧼. Wow man power what a differences.
Looks soooooooo good!!! 😊
turned out amazing.
This just made me wanna go out and buy a buffer again!
Looks fantastic!!!
Such a legendary car! Hope i can get one some day 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
What happened to the 2000 budget civic build? What happened to the car you had when you were a teenager you just bought? What happened to the civic you were just working in a couple vids ago?
He sold the budget civic, bought a grey s2k, and then sold it.
Ok what happened to the 1995 budget civic?
I mentioned it in some previous videos. The silver EK was sold to make room for this car. My first car is sitting outside. My budget sedan car is actually my daily driver that gets me to work. I bought and sold a silver S2000 to help fund this ITR purchase. The teenager car will wait until the black CRX I’m rebuilding is done.
That's a beautiful Integra Type R
Thank you.
i like your work sir, my fav is your 1989 HONDA CRX Si, awesome nice i shared it on my fb, 😊😊💪💪
Thanks! 🙏🏻
Great job! Beautiful DC2
Thanks!
And I just wanted the body shop to do whatever I need and want my 97 is a keeper
This one is going to sell quick
Hopefully not. I want to keep it.
Looks great man
🙏🏻
Looking sooooo sexy! The car of course lol. I love the reproduction badges! They are spot on! Damn good start bro! Got me grinning hard with ya! Oh and like another guy said about you removing the wing "EPIC MOVE" BOSS!
Damnit, now I want to do some polishing to my car 😆
I will be doing this to my DB8 Type R ❤
I always like no decals but definitely need them on the Integra
Big difference. Now only if we can get those rims a touch up also. Really clean
I need to repaint them for sure.
@@crxseth Keep up the great content. Can’t wait for the next one.
I was a mobile detailer for13 years here in the north GA mountains and traveled all over the country correcting paint until back surgeries arrived.
I love the products and techniques you use. Meg's Ultimate compound and polish are basically just consumer friendly (a tad more oils for easier removal) versions of 105 and 110. Honestly the best deal in a 2 stage correction system.
I've notice you use Ryobi tools (I know I've commented before lol) and there are two tools I think would help you. Their right angle drill (brushless over standard is worth the extra $$$) and their 18v forced rotation DA. I have several detailer friends telling me its so strong and able to remove sanding scratches easily. Also, the 4ah battery is the best blend of time and weight. Getting about 25 to 30 minutes per battery....which is not bad to me. It dies, you recharge, while using another. 3 would be perfect to have on hand. No cord is simply worth this tool! LOL! You find a refurbed unit for around a $100 at Direct Tool. In fact, they have one in stock. Has the pads that come with it, which are not bad at all, and a 1 year warranty instead of 3. I think its about a $40 savings.
Also, please check out Meguiar's Detailer Line up of highly concentrated chemicals. They are simply the best bangs for the money. The offer color coded spray bottles as well.
I highly recommend Wheel Brightener and their green All Purpose Cleaner aka APC.
I just so happy for you and watching you restore and build you Honda collection sir!
The vids are simply so well done.
Thank you!
Thanks for the tips. I need to look at a DA, as I don’t currently use one. I need to grab a second battery anyway so maybe I’ll get the whole kit and move away from that large rotary until I need it.
And I just rewatched the beauty shots at the again....
WOW!
Do you really think it needs a respray now? I know we can't see what you can in the just the video. Also, how much of the car is still OEM paint? I know you said before some of it has been sprayed. Maybe you could do a team up/collab with a UA-cam wrapper as that would preserve the paint underneath.
In the end it's yours and do what you want. I just like know why you decide to do things so I can learn.....not to criticize why did it....lol that's not me!
@@justinmurphy2227 It appears the original paint is on the left door, left front fender, right door, right rear quarter panel, and roof. The other parts have all been resprayed. The right front fender is missing clear coat on top due to a poor paint job, so I may reclear it soon. It’s about the size of my hand with no clear coat.
@@crxseth well that is definitely something you're able to fix with your skill level. And that's not a bad situation for the OEM paint on your vehicle. I had figured more parts have been resprayed.
I'm also heavily into car audio, competition and collecting / restoring old school equipment. I have enough stuff that I would be willing to donate/sponsor your restoration with some period correct amplifiers to go in there!
In fact it would be an honor because I'm trying to get my restoration business and name out there.
He said "I got the left side done, but didn't get to the drivers side" and I'm like, oh yeahhhh, JDM RHD :P
p.s. that paint can be taken to another level with a proper DA, pads and good compound. Not bad though.
That thing is sick!
Thanks! I’m ready to get out and drive it.
Nice work Seth looks mint again, which product did you use for the paint protection?
For now it’s just a spray-on ceramic detailer. Wolfgang Uber. amzn.to/3coYmay
Looks good Seth !! Looks like the paint came out really good. Are you still gonna paint the car later on during the journey ?
Thanks. It will be further out, but probably at some point I will want to paint it. It’s nice enough to leave it as-is right now.
What is your set up you used for paint correction on the R as far as what wax, buffer, and pads
Links are in the description below.
One thing I dislike with other car makes is when they copy each other, You start with Audi S Line, Then Ford Start The ST Line, then is it Peugeot with the GT Line. nothing like being individual and having your own Original name like Type R 👍
Great purchase!! Curiosity - is the “passenger door” really that off from the body in person? I’m sure championship white is hard to match
It’s off but nothing super crazy unless you’re looking for it.
Those shitrt decals finally replaced ! Now I can sleep ! haha
What did you use to clean up the headlights that well looks amazing!
Links in description of the previous video where I polished the headlights. :)
Looking great. Get all the oem parts you need now. They're getting discontinued by the day. Emblems stickers, even parts foe the recaros are still available.
I need some foam and bolsters for the seats but they show discontinued. Not sure what else I need at the moment. Haven’t dug into it too deep yet.
@@crxseth The foam can be repaired. I'll have to find you at CHD but I've done it!
Hey Seth, having a hard time trying to find out for sure but do you know if the DC2 Type R NH0 is single stage or clear coat? Did you notice any paint transfer when you were polishing it?
I am not sure, as this car has been repainted in many places. If you’re looking to repaint, I would recommend base/clear.
Now all it need is the all red tail lights. Happy for you on your purchase brotha 👍🏻
I’m actually a fan of the amber lenses.
I thought in one of your videos you talked about a place you can buy the crx stickers for the rear tail lights and also bolt kits.. ive looked and cant find it..am i wrong?
I sell the center garnish decals. The bolt kits are at www.Restotuner.com
@@crxseth ahhh perfect, how do i buy the decals from you?
@@jasondunn6223 DM me on Instagram.
Where did you get the stickers from?
They are cheap eBay replicas.
Why do Japanese Integras have 4 hole rims and EU 5 hole?
Late reply... :s The JDM Type R's first came out in 1996 and were four lug, they got an update in 98 which included among other things five lug 16 inch wheels. It was this 98 model that was the basis of all non JDM export Integra Type R's so they got the five lug wheels though in 15inch. EUDM got 15 inch wheels that looked like the JDM 16's, for some reason North America got EK9 Civic Type R 15 inch wheels.
North America also didn't get Recaro seats or Momo steering wheels or centre console delete and one year didn't get the titanium gear shifter(engines slightly detuned too). EU models did(though UK examples didn't get the Momo). The North American versions seemed to have been built down for costs and local market considerations and of cours were branded Acura.
EU/US/JDM rear light clusters were all different too. EU models got rear foglights and of course all non JDM examples got the four round headlight fronts which went out of production in Japan across the Integra range in 95. American models got a different rear seat and in Canada you could also get one with red rear seats to match the front. The Swiss for some reason got a one off run of 100 R's in yellow with Yellow Recaro interiors, which was otherwise a JDM only thing. Only Japan got the four door version, silver as an option across the range, more option deletes and the run out all bells and whistles(and heaviest) Type R-x. Australian and New Zealand cars had their own little quirks too.
For such a niche car that Honda barely made any money on it's amazing how many local differences there were. Especially from today's perspective of the "World Car" where the only real difference is which side the steering wheel is on.
Iam going to restore my Acura integra LS
Wow you didn’t even use the template to install the decals. You just went for it 😳
I guess I need to find a template. I have another set coming because one is ever so slightly off and it’s now bothering me.
Dude everytime you show this car it's gonna get a "yummy"!!
I know why I choose Honda as my favourite Car maker, okay I wouldn't turn down Ferrari or Lamborghini etc. What is it About Honda For yourself and other followers You like them so much?
Primarily, they are cheap and easy to work with, and there are a lot of companies that still support them.
I wish you left it alone. But it is your car.
Any particular reason? You wouldn’t have washed and shined it up? That’s all I’ve done so far other than pull off the aftermarket fog lights.
@@crxseth I love you and hope to meet you one day that is all.
