- Honda Beat Transmission Removal and Installation. Also, we add a 4th and 5th gear from an Older Honda Acty model to lower the top end RPMs to make the freeway travel MUCH easier. Nice video, was thinking this could be worth doing. Do these cars have noisy throw out bearings? Mine makes a little noise at idle
Yessir they do when they get worn out. Always replace it if you are taking the transmission off is my opinion. Thanks!
I'm buying an HA21S FF alto works with the k6a engine soon, im trying to find a solution for the same issue, i dont want to waste time modding it if the gears wont accommodate the potential.

How many RPM would you say the reduced @ 60 MPH? Any effect on performance?

Tyler would have to verify. He brought parts, I install. Lol. I “think” he said they came from a late 1980s acty though.
4th: Factory Ratio 1.172 > HH5/6 Acty Ratio: 1.133
5th: Factory Ratio 0.941 > HH5/6 Acty Ratio: 0.861
I rebuilt the transmission a few times on 8th gen civic si’s and it’s pretty similar to this
They are, the B Series and K Series manual transmissions I've opened up are all very similar as well.

@@rhd_ron yeah they are cool. I think on one of my beats the tach isn’t working, so I’m wondering if you would sell your old tach since you switched to a digital one?
@@hellfire08 That Beat is Tyler's. Mine still has the factory tach. He swapped his out because it also wasn't working.
Hi Ron, which would you say was more difficult: this or replacing the timing belt? Our Beat needs a new input shaft bearing and this video is going to be a life saver.
Hey man! If I’m being honest, the timing belt job was probably more difficult. The space constraints are frustrating. At least with the transmission out you have free workspace. But, that’s just my take. If I ever do a timing belt on a Beat again I will likely just drop the engine out.

@@1mawesomel1kethat I am not sure. I know the Acty 4th and 5th works. I cannot confirm if there are similar transmissions with "swappable" gears. Thanks!
Hiya RHD RON, I need to do 3rd gear synchro on a beat, any good parts sources ? any trustworthy suppliers, any idea of "other vehicles that share the same parts?" cheers
I believe there is a guy called Etsu Ryan that sells the kit. They guy I did this seap for had all this purchased up from and just brought it to me.
