Me, wanting to try a scindapsus a few months ago but kept on canceling myself to buy it because the swedish plant guy haven't explain/made a video about it. .............. S.P.G made videos about scindapsus! Me, running to the nearest nursery to get myself a scindapsus 😝
I just learned that three of my plants that I thought were pothos are actually scindapsus! I truly appreciate your expertise. You give the best information on the internet exclamation point!
Your videos are by far the most informative ones I've seen when researching plant care, and it's immensely useful the way you explain everything in such detail. Please keep making these, I cannot express how very appreciated they are!
I bought a couple that got cold damage, I left the leaves on until it got more leaves. The overall plant is beautiful, however the leaves have nasty brown spots from the cold damage. It was relatively small, but after a few months I was able to cut the leaves off. It just needed time to grow, the plant is amazing.
I bought this plant even though I knew nothing about it, I just liked the leaves. Thank you for this video I now feel as if I made a good decision when I bought it. You always give such detailed information. This is something I really need.
I got two new scindapsus plants. My previous plant has a new leaf, he died back to one leaf. I'm loving this plant. The new ones are doing fantastic. Thank you for these awesome videos
Wow!! Thank you so much for being so so so informative! I have been trying to crack the code for scindapsus for a couple years now as mine just fail to thrive! I swear to God everyone's advice is "Bright indirect light" and other common advice and no one has ever broken it all down like this. I had no idea about the root system for instance. Knowing it has delicate roots totally changes everything for me!! I am going to go about changing all my habits for my scindapsus now. Here in Spain I rarely have issues with plants and now armed with all this knowledge Im pretty sure I will get my scindapsus to thrive now!! Thank you again!
My Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma is doing well, but Monstera Adansonii isn’t and that is supposed to also be easy. Wish he would do a video with his wonderful examples for us.
Are you giving it heaps of light?! Mine is on a windowsill and has grown about 4 feet in about 8 months! Well draining soil and let them dry out before watering.
@@bariton3779 I have mine about 6-7 feet from a mostly south but a little bit western window and I water it when the moisture meter is at 3. Super bone dry all the way through. It's thriving I had to extend my trellis!
Thank you so much! First time I see one of your video and surely not the last. I'm a French speaking from Québec Canada I understand perfectly your english. Really good informations, I learn a lot. 👍👍👍
Another plant for the dark corners of my house! Thank you for the excellent care video - your work is always highly informative and thorough. So glad I found your channel :)
Your videos are the best gardening videos I have seen! You give such great, detailed information that is useful for the beginner and the advanced gardener, too. I look forward to watching all your past videos!
Can u please do a video on grow lights? How do I determine which which light best suits my needs? What do the different types do (pink/purple light vs white light, 3000K vs 5500K, etc). Thanks.
Great video. I wish I would have watched this video first. I bought two of these and proceded to repot as soon as I got home. It's been my experience that all plants are very root-bound from the greenhouse. There were hardly any roots and I thought I bought a pot of fresh cuttings. The soil completly fell apart. One cutting only had one thin root although the plant looked very healthy. Hopefully I did not do any damage. Thank you for the information.
Hello from tropical Singapore! Thank you for the very comprehensive explanation. Even though this plant is in the local forest, your info is so relevant for me to keep them happy indoors.
If you are in uk...morrisons has them just now for £3.. theyre very vigourous..look carefully...youll find them amongst other plants... I wish you had shown us the pots that your big scindapsis plants were in...
Oh Thank uuuu for this very informative video! I followed your advice when I bought my 4" small Exotica:) I was overwatering & it wz too close to the entrance door at first before I saw this video now it is very cozy in a bright corner happy & growing fast:)
Just found your channel and subscribed. The most informative, thorough and NOT boring videos on plants!!! I have one of those and I was treating it like a pothos because so many sites say it is the same thing. I was going to water it today but I will wait a bit. It's in a hanging basket (bought it that way) but I'm going to plant it with a pole to climb on, I want those big leaves!! I've already watched a few and I will watch all of them because I have a lot of plants. I also love connecting with people from all over the world. Hi from Florida!!!
I don't know why i just can't keep this plant alive.i love your channel. I live in texas. I have one dying now. It was huge when i got it. Now its very spindly and leaves looking gray/ brown.
Very happy about this video I bought this plant last week. When I was trying to look it up a bit the different names used made me unsure if there was different but similar plants or the same kind so good that you explained about the name situation.
Thank you for so much great information! I have been struggling with the watering for mine and you have confirmed my suspicion that I don't think the soil is airy enough (both are still in the original nursery pots). Since I have had them for about 5 months, I will carefully give the soil mix some perlite. Thank you!
Wow this was so amazing!! I’ve been watching these five minute videos where they all say the same very basic things but THIS video so much information thank you definitely watching all of their videos now
I love🥰 my Scindapsus, really easy pretty plant👍. Hope you make videos about calatheas, prayer, marantha, ctenanthe plants. Whats the difference? I like this plants but I cannot get them to grow quite well🙈. You explained everything we are learning a lot.👍
This is an amazing video!! Thank you so much. My Satin Pothos is one of the first houseplants I got years ago, and the more I learn about it, the more I love it!
Thanks guys. That helps a lot! I put this plant indoor recently from being outdoor in spring and summer. It was full and perfectly fine there - not now anymore. And now I know how to fix it. Thanks 🙏🏻😁
I am not one of the swedish plant guys, but have some experience with grow lights. I tried and tested many different brands. Ordinary GU10 Sylvania refled spots 6500 kelvin are great for growth. You can by adapters for E27 or E14 sockets. Those lights may be placed a little further from the plant, 50cm or so. Best to get the 6w lights or higher. I used to by the 8w lights, but they are no longer available.
Best videos to help grow happy, healthy plants. Instant subscribe!! Thank you so much for all the great info!! Haven’t found any other videos that are as informative and helpful!
Thank you sooo much.. Very very informative.. I really learned a lot.. Hope i will do a better job applying it on my Scindapsus argyraeus.. It is now my no.1 favorite among lots of my favorite plants.. More power!
Thank you soo much!!! my plant had curly leaves, but it was with moist soil. I did not understand what was wrong with it. Now I know it needs more moisture. I have placed a dish with stones and water under the pot, without it touching the water! And I will encourage it to climb!
Danke, ich kann nur wenig Englisch. Du sprichst schön langsam und so habe ich alles verstanden. Deine Videos gefallen mir sehr gut. Viele Grüße aus Eltville von Andreas
Thank you for your very informative & helpful tips for scindapsus. I just bought one last week & it’s very expensive so I really want this plant to thrive stay with me for a long time. I bought the silvery anne. It’s so beautiful. It’s trailing on a moss pole. I will try to remember your advise to not overwater not to repot unless necessary & remove from furnitures or wall where it could climb😁
oh nooo I just got an argyraeus and unfortunately I had to remove all the soil it was in and repot it immediately 😣 the soil was extremely chunky but somehow absolutely drenched, and it was full of teeny tiny bugs crawling around in it. I really hope it'll survive!
I just got the exotic SP only $18.00! It's bushy, trailing and deep green. I'm in love! Thank you for your expertise and guidance. Question: because of hard minerals in tap wayer, should I use distilled water for misting?
I put 2 of these in the bathroom with some artificial lighting, but I made the first mistake of transferring them to fixed wall pots, so the leaves curled up, despite botto watering and misting.. one died, and Iam trying to revive the other one and in the meanwhile I got two cuttings trying to root in water. Hope they root successfully, so I can start agsin. Great video.
I’ve got mine in a clear pot and I can see her roots curling around the base, like 2 or 3 times- should I repot it? I’ve been putting it off but she’s recently slowed down from growing. I didn’t know they don’t like being root bound. Thank you for such detailed info! I love this plant so much, I just want her to be happy!
Yes...I made the mistake of repotting a week after I bought it. I figured out that it likes to be by itself..in a pot. I tried to put 3 in a 6in pot. Not good!! I got it together ❤
Fantastic. Love his videos. I've got all three varieties recently, glad I watched this as I was keeping the creatures moist, just like I do with the pothos. Not anymore! Thank you!
I bought the exact plant few weeks ago. Thanks for the info. Very useful and helpful. Could you perhaps make a video in the future on how to get rid of houseplant pests like thrips? Would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
I think I just earned a PhD on Scindapsus! 😁
Same haha this guy is so good
Exactly. Yeah we r all experts now. Thanks to him

Having an example to show of plant problems is SO HELPFUL
I repotted my plants and killed them straightaway. I was only able to save two cuttings😭😭. I will buy again and follow your good advice.
I think I and many others would love a video on raphidfora tetrasperma! I'm struggling with this supposedly easy-care fast-growing plant😵
same! i bought rhaphidophora thinking it needed similar care to my monstera, but i cant tell what it wants!
My Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma is doing well, but Monstera Adansonii isn’t and that is supposed to also be easy. Wish he would do a video with his wonderful examples for us.

I enjoy how you explain the plant , very educational about the scindapsus plant I will try to follow your suggestions thanks for sharing.😊
Great info! So helpful to know why the leaves curl or turn black, and what happens with too much or too little water. Thanks for going in depth!
I just bought one. This has been so helpful. I was going to do a hanging basket but I think I'll let it climb.
