41:19 Argument 1: He's an old man, and he's sick. He's 72, he's started to get arthritis, he's starting to loose sight, he's starting to loose hearing, and he's got tubes all over him most of the time because he has something incurable. He can laugh how he likes. Argument 2: He's 15 ft tall, he's built like a tank, he has 14 divisions and commanders under him, he has 43 different allies, and he has the power of the Tremor-Tremor fruit so he can create sea-quakes, and in spite of being old and sick he can kick just about everyone's butts from here to the next continent. He can laugh how he likes.
Whitebeard is such a giant of a man both literally and figuratively. Still to this day one of my favourite characters in the whole story. His relationship with his crew is so great, it really reminds me of the way the Strawhats are a family as well
Oh man, this whole arc is so fire. Your reactions are gonna be very fun to watch. Also I love opening 13, one of the early really good ones that fill me with a lot of nostalgia of my first time watching the anime weekly since I caught up around end of Impel Down and start of Marineford.
You can climb the hierarchy of the marine pretty fast as long as you are strong enough. So you are a captain in no time. Given that giants are by default pretty strong it makes sense that each of them is at least a captain or even vize admiral.
9:00 I absolutely LOVE these moments in One Piece when a big thing is happening and we see people reacting to it around the world. It really brings the world to life edit: btw, in the manga the Whitebeard laugh is written as "gurararara" as a reference to his devil fruit, the "gura gura no mi"
A few things... 1) Dadan is a woman, she just has a deep, gravelly sort of voice xD 2) There are two light novels and a manga adaptation (by the mangaka who made Dr. Stone) that expand on Ace's time with the Spade Pirates and early days with the Whitebeard Pirates that introduces a whole new cast of characters that aren't in the anime, elaborates on the whole refusing-to-join-the-Warlords thing, details what Ace's goal actually is, and really expands on how he came to accept himself as part of the crew. DO NOT look it up until you're finished Marineford, though, because spoilers. 3) Your videos are such a joy to watch, honestly. As a longtime One Piece fan, it's so nice to see the show from fresh eyes. Hope you keep enjoying it, you're in for a treat with Marineford :)
Now that you’ve seen these episodes you gotta look up Uzumaki Khan Ace’s Real Father reaction (and maybe have a mini clip of you reacting to it 🤣) I cannot watch the Roger being Ace’s dad scene without thinking about it
LETS GOOOOOO!!!! I love Marineford, it's so good (even with some pacing issues here and there). The drama, the action, the lore, and my favorite One Piece opening! We finally get more information about Whitebeard too! FYI, my top 3 characters are 1.Luffy 2.Whitebeard and 3.Buggy. He's such a brilliant character and I love him so much. BTW, fun fact which has never been revealed in the story, but only in an SBS: Roger's sword was called Ace, meaning Ace was named after his dad's sword lol
Lol I know it's hard to remember since it's been a long time! But Blackbeard did mention Thatch when Bb and Ace was facing-off in Banaro Island! And one thing Whitebeard owned up and took responsibility to Ace's action when he was talking to Shanks! Whitebeard made it seem that he's the one ordered Ace to go! Even though in reality Ace disobeyed his orders and went to find Blackbeard! 😢
Episode 3: Axe-hand Morgan surprised from Luffy's gum gum reveal. He then said that there are many kinds of Devil Fruit that lies in the Grand Line. Examples that he mentioned are fruits that gives you ability to manipulate fire🔥, and create tsunamis🌊. Well, well, well...
I was gushing over Water 7, and Marineford is next on the list. You've seen the start and it's uphill from here. As for the 200 extra episodes checking out the South/West/North blues, there's only one Strawhat whose dream involves traveling the world's, so I think you may be interested in my hopes for a Nami spinoff as she travels the world post main story to chart her maps.
Btw i share your thought process regarding the one piece movies and their impact on the main story character development, its the main reason I've been avoiding the movies but I still watched them before the reactions on Netflix so I have context
most of the time the people in the movies and abilities are canon, but the events that take place in the movies are not canon. like Shiki and Z are real characters but what happened in their respective movies didnt really happen.

16 divisions. And they're all headed by absolute monsters. He can laugh how he likes.
The funny thing is that Luffy knows quite a lot of things, he just doesn’t consider it important until someone else brings it up first. xD
He learned a lot by just letting people talk.
yes you already saw marco, he was the one warning others to stay away from shanks because of his Haki when he boarded Moby Dick.

Luffy didn't necessarily go looking for a family like Newgate, but he definitely found one.
Fun Trivia 12:35, you can see Akainu from Robin's back story. He's the one who blow up the evacuation ship. He's also mentioned in filler arc at G8

That's why in the Live Action Garp is at Gold Roger's execution, because of the relationship of those two characters.

He said that he killed Thatch all the way back on Banaro Island, when Ace caught up to Blackbeard.

Also u did saw Marco before when shank visited whitebeard he ask him to join his crew

I don't still know what to feel when Jimbei and Moria have the same voice actor 😅
This is so funny to me lol
Here in Brazil, it's Moria and Smoker who share the same VA
Also I don't think the marine killed all the women who were suspicious
Now that you’ve seen these episodes you gotta look up Uzumaki Khan Ace’s Real Father reaction (and maybe have a mini clip of you reacting to it 🤣) I cannot watch the Roger being Ace’s dad scene without thinking about it
I cant wait for whats to come!

The whole pregnant women and baby killing frenzy is pretty biblical as well. That's probably not a coincidence.
The pregnant women hunt kinda reminds me with the story of Moses and Jesus... oo;;;
41:22 Whitebeard laugh is a reference to the name of his devil fruit (gura gura), so is something like "gurararara"
You are using the word f** for every 2 sentences 😂
Akainu is the guy who ordered the refugee ship to be blown up during Robin’s backstory.
27:50 Probably just a typo.
THE ONE PIECE, THE ONE PIECE IS REAL!!! 🗣🗣
well goodbye rapper gent but hello marineford arc!!
I was gushing over Water 7, and Marineford is next on the list. You've seen the start and it's uphill from here.

Nah, I'm not interested in more Nami. (OF COURSE I WANT THAT)
Sanji in multiple ways too
Oda said Marineford was a side story to him
It's funny cuz I feel like North Blue is the most relevant Blue

Are we missing members ep today? I have my snacks ready and all!
Yes, I'm really sorry about that! The bonus episode this week sent me a little behind on the member's video. I'll get it up ASAP!
@@JentWatchesOnePiece no worries all good. 😁
