the beautiful part of this series is that there IS context for everything. Giant babies, cartoon cakes, dinosaur people, giraffe man, giant blob, everything has an answer. everything may seem very random but there is usually an explanation for it.
The giant babies were given growth-enhancing drugs that were made to be beyond heroin levels of addictive and shaped and wrapped like candy. So that's why they're giant.
A lot of people have trouble working up to watching One Piece because of the sheer episode count. However, this anime is so good that the vast majority of people that do watch it end up loving it so much that they wish there were more episodes once they have caught up.
Update: I liked the Netflix version a bit too much and I'm about to watch the entire anime (in sub) wish me luck 🙏🙏🙏

A lot of people have trouble working up to watching One Piece because of the sheer episode count. However, this anime is so good that the vast majority of people that do watch it end up loving it so much that they wish there were more episodes once they have caught up.
