I HAVE THE POWER!!! I mean all I really have is a bunch of board games, but those board games do come with a bunch of powers and abilities so it nets to the same thing in the end. And Powers and Abilities are present left right and center in Clash for Eternia. Bringing you one vs many gameplay, with a cooperative mode to boot, and the ability to mix and match characters and sides at will....there's a lot going on here, a lot of tactical skirmishing, dice rolling and card play in CMON's Masters of the Universe.

5 - My favorite games. I'm disappointed when anyone I play games with doesn't like it, because it means I might play it less often.
4 - A great game. Almost always going in my collection.
3 - A solid game. Enjoyed it and can recommend it, but may or may not stay in my collection.
2 - I'm either not the target audience for the gameplay, or too many issues with it.

Glad to see this is an objective based game. I tend to like objective based games rather than summing victory points with my victory points calculator.
Thanks for the review. I went all in on Conan, which a 1 vs. many game and is pretty similar. I worry this would compete in the same space, and I'd rather just play Conan.
I can’t wait to play this with my kids the Kickstarter has been such a blast thus far.
Based on what I’ve seen so far, the gameplay and the IP, this will easily be our household’s most played game.
I gladly pass on this, although I grew up with MotU miniatures and the original TV series,
and not just because of the ridiculous region-restricted licensing.
I think both games don't do enough justice to the MotU theme!
The cash-grab feel is too strong.
board may look bland, but with the 3d terrain (yeah its coming) it will help make the board look better. This game has 6 year old me very giddy. going all in on this and sticking to it. thanks for this review Alex!
Don’t know if this is now a reprint, or what but picked it up for a solid $100, so my ❤said I just had to He-man was the hugest part of my childhood as so many others’
this might be unknown information at this point, but does anyone know how many scenarios will be included in the base game (core box)?
Is it difficult to control multiple characters when it's a 1v1 game? I find that when games are designed for someone to control one character at high player counts, it becomes difficult to control (a lot to manage) multiple characters at lower player counts.
Thanks for this video Alex. I am still uncertain about backing this one. I already own Conan and Batman: Gotham City Chronicles so Masters of the Universe must be phenomenal before I will back it.
Is the single player worth it? I love the i.p but finding people to play it will be hard.

How would you compare this to Rise of Moloch?
Very similar, lots of overlap in the game design. In terms of preference, I prefer this one, Rina prefers Moloch. Moloch is one of our favorite games.

This one is an easy pass for me - I have no nostalgia for He-Man and am lukewarm on the IP in general. That upcoming cyberpunk game though...

I liked your video very much, as usual. I am a fan of the MotU franchise since growing up with it. I loved the cartoon and the action figures back then and loved the reboot of 200x too. I got excited when CMON announced the game. But ... man... that board maybe functional but it ilooks bland and ugly to me. I like one vs many games, love special powers and still Clash of Eternia doesn’t give me any positive or nostalgic feeling. Still thank you for a good and informative video.

Can I play 2 player co-op vs an A.I.? If so I'll back it, if not I'll pass.
Same. This is an important question for me. I'm not really into competitive games, so how well the co-op works with 2 players determines whether I get this.
it's not a boardgame, it's a way to get a complete set of heman toys and a caste for under 250 and still have a semi decent game attached to it.
We can definitely agree on the second half of that sentence at least :)
@@BoardGameCo I got excited, I meant from how to look at pricing. it's not a $250ish boardgame I'd recommend to anyone, but as collectors toys with a game? great price.
@@82ndmi post Kickstarter: Several characters were never unlocked and the final "All In" pledge was over $400. Hoping it was successful enough to warrant a 2nd Kickstarter to finish the range and get a Snake Mountain.

It's so bland and generic which is really disappointing.
I have to agree. We'll see if there are 3D terrain, and once we see some painted minis. I don't really love He-man like I do X-men. So this one might be a pass for me.

Archon's offering on gamefound seemed a lot more interesting then this one. My sympathies for US backers with this bland looking offering.
their board art minis and dice were all better. But you still don't get to fight on castle gray skull.
Really why would you pick either base game vs the castle grey skull fight if you were going to table just one.
