Hi Thanks for watching! Not sure what else I can add to what I've already said in the video. You'll just have to keep positioning the blades until it's just right using your sight/judgment. You also probably know that when you tighten the screws back in place, the blades will move. It's just a matter of keep doing it 'til you you get it in the right position. Getting the screws in with just the right amount of tightness is another thing to consider Sorry if Im not helpful. Hope you get it right.
I did the same. But when I place the lever up ,then looks all crooked. Then lever down and make the blades together is all good. Goes crazy when its up
In which position the moving blade needs to be for aligning the blades? I think its very strange that no toturial is mentioning this (even the original wahl)
The top blade (that sits on the white prong) does not move. You should not force it to move in any way. The bottom blade can be move/adjusted by slightly unscrewing the two bottom screws. I explained it in the video. It will tell you which position to move the bottom blade relative to the top blade. Good luck. Thanks for your comment
I want to align like my Limural wireless was stock, I installed ceramic blades and I'm basically at a Zero gap. I want stock alignment so I can do a proper 0.5/1/2 fade.
Probably after About 5 cuts. I clean and lubricate at the same time. For corded, if you have a sponge that comes with it, it does a good job of keeping hairs out (I check once in a long while). I rarely open cos it is time consuming.
@@lmbpros what is that sponge? I have a Wahl Color Pro Plus and i didnt see it (i even opened the machine). Is it used inside the machine to keep hairs out?

great video sir. thank you so much. i think what there is a problem with my clipper. the white "arm" that it below the cutter blade is not straight because when i put upon it the cutter blade, it bends on one side. can i do anything about it?
Hi, thank you for the comment! Thanks for watching! From my what I know (Im no expert sorry), the white head that connects to the vibrating arm should never be bent. The only reason I can come up why it can be bent is that the unit has been dropped head first. I highly not recommend messing with the internals of the clipper ( I have wrecked one of my WAHLs :( trying to mess around inside ) However, since yours is already bent to one side, you can attempt to straighten it out as the metal that the white piece is connected to is quite bendable. That soft metal should only bend upwards and downwards. If you're saying bends on one side, meaning left or right then something is definitely wrong. Always bring back to your retailer if under warranty! dont open the case as it voids warranty! good luck. sorry cant help much. I tried google this topic but very few hits. you can replace the vibrating arm though here is a link for an australian store barberco.com.au/vibrator-arm/
Wow! Funny how my clipper stopped working, didn't know what to do even though people said it shouldn't be blunt so quickly, seeing it's just a month old. I'm new to barbing. Will give this a try once I get back to work. Thank you so much.
If the bottom Blade(cutting blade) sits crooked with the plastic in the middle, and the top still blade Can’t align straight with the bottom teeth, this would be a defect right? My cutting blade sits crooked And the top simply doesn’t move enough to make up for the slant
ua-cam.com/video/Wb1w46_7As4/v-deo.html I made a video about this. You can replace the vibrating arm, but hopefully your official Wahl spare part website stocks the Particular model. Good luck
Sorry im confused- so i bought a Wahl balder 3 or 4 years back but never used it because of the loud noise. I fished out again during lockdown. Do I need to a) adjust the blades as shown 2) change the black adjustment screw 3) both. If I make it quiet by adjusting the screw, will that affect the cut? Thanks!
Hi thank you for watching! I'm no expert but for me personally, I always clean out my clippers after every cut so I have to align the blades after cleaning. I don't always tune/power-up the black adjustment screw. If you turn it on and as I've shown (be careful not to cut yourself) by pinching the blades and your pinching stops the blades then tune/adjust/power-up by adjusting! cheers
What side does the blade go on. Mine looks like it would matter. What side is top. I know the words for the top blade is facing you... but the inside blade, which is top?
Excellent video! Question, I've taken my wahl apart. The vibrating "arm" seems to be clacking against the shroud even with top cover off. If tilted, motor will even stop as it must be striking the lower shroud somewhere. Do you have any thoughts? I would hate to throw out $40 clippers for something mechanical. My clipper is exactly the same as the one on the left in screen at "0.07"- no spring. Thanks if you have the time to answer.

HELP PLEASE. My clipper motor is active but barley moves back and forward despite turning the power knob, therefore the cutting blade doesn't move enough to cut hair. Any suggestions?
Hi, one suggestion I've been told is that the 'cam follower is worned out'. This applies to cordless clippers. www.wahlspareparts.com.au/p/cam-follower-4
Hi! I struggled understanding this 'gap' that everyone was talking about too! au.wahl.com/AU.wahlglobal.com/media/Manuals-Factsheets/Barber-Tool-Care.pdf "The top & bottom blades should be parallel with the top blade approximately 0.8mm behind the bottom blade (do not have the top blade level with the bottom blade as this can cause skin pinching or cutting)" Gonna repeat it.... Don't level the top and bottom blades even. Just slightly **lower** the TOP blade down by 0.8mm (not 8mm!) so they look like they are parallel At first, I leveled both blades (both are even) and I learnt the 'pinching' the hard way... very painful. lol Hope that helps! Cheers. Thank you for watching! Really appreciate it.
This was soo helpful, thanks. So many questions tho: 1) I noticed a broken tooth on my bottom blade. does that mean I need to buy a new one? 2) No matter how hard I try to line things up perfectly, when I tighten the screws they move out of place :( Any advice? It was seriously helpful though! Until now, I didn't even know that I could or had to align the blades and clean it out, but it was working so poorly.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. Really appreciate it and thank you for watching too. Broken tooth... I honestly don't know but I imagine you might get hair stuck or jammed between the tooth or blades? Or perhaps not cut a line or section of hair? Very curious now Googling a quick check on Blade replacements they average about AUD35 and up to AUD60 (rip off) excluding shipping/tax I also learnt about stagger tooth blades (comes with WAHL magic clip) and precision blades (comes with WAHL Seniors)! Also just learnt there are mods that you can even buy an ANDIS blade to fit onto a WAHL (US website about USD30 excluding shipping/tax). So you got a good reason to research and buy a new replacement! I know what you mean, those blades keep moving out of position when screwing back together. It took alot of patience and experience until I got it aligned just right!
Thanks for this video! Its my first time buying a hair clipper and the blade is too far away to the edge when the lever is up. I thought its just a manufacturing defect because the clipper is cheap(that i dont mind because its personal use anyway) And Im being tempted to forcing the lever up if still can go up but thanks to this video i wont be doing that 😂
Thumbs 👍 bro, am from Uganda and was abt to throw mine away then I found yr video and gues wat!,ma machine is,more shaper compared to even wen it was brand new thanks alot
My clippers teeth physically can't align like that. I think the white plastic in the middle that holds the small blade is not centered. So my big teeth align with the edge of the bottom. Not the bottoms teeth, but the edge of the blade. The other sides big teeth align with the 3rd tooth. 1. Is this a problem? 2. Can the white plastic that holds the small teeth be moved/centered?
ua-cam.com/video/Wb1w46_7As4/v-deo.html I made a video to investigate when this happens. I'm no expert but logically looking at the inside (FYI: voiding warranty) if the vibrating arm, particularly the front end with the white head is bent then one can get misalignment. It's never happened to me so I can't guess why it happens but as suggested in the video is to buy a replacement arm or try to straighten it. Good luck
Hello. I Have previously tried to zero gap my clippers and I have successfully done it. However no when I use the clipper and turn it on, either the cutting blade or stationary blade keep moving horizontally and they dont align at times. How do I fix? Appreciate it.
The motor on the clippers is very powerful so the blades can get out of alignment (plus also thickness of hair is a factor,.... perhaps ) My best guess is to keep zero gap and tighten it just a little bit more (pls don’t over tighten!!!)
I've since learnt that for cordless clippers, it the "cam follower" is worn out (it's a piece of plastic) it will make a loud sounds. Try google "Wahl cam follower". Good luck
Have you tried to put the taper blade from the purple clipper on your white Clipper? I want to buy the taper blade for my Wahl clipper, which has the precision blades from your white clipper.
Mine does that too. I'm no expert but Im guessing the vibration just knocks it out of place. I just tighten it a bit more but NEver over-tighten any screws especially on electrical items and plastics. also I always clean and re-align after every cut that helps it keep in place cheers sorry cant help more.
I had no clue, thank goodness someone read the directions / website; thanks loads for this (the little things in life right?) Big difference after seeing this!
I just made a video regarding this. It’s not meant to be ‘removable’, I really don’t know the answer. Contact an authorised repair agent? Maybe glue it back? Sorry
Ok, right at the beginning: the white plastic piece that moves the small blade back and forth--mine is off-centered! so it's making the small blade off-center and too hard to align it with the large blade....can someone help me out
I just made a video regarding this white head. To be honest, my white head is also off-center but as long as I zero gap. I had no issues. Sorry I am not helpful.

You'll just have to keep positioning the blades until it's just right using your sight/judgment.
You also probably know that when you tighten the screws back in place, the blades will move.
It's just a matter of keep doing it 'til you you get it in the right position.
Getting the screws in with just the right amount of tightness is another thing to consider
Sorry if Im not helpful. Hope you get it right.
Thanks buddy. Followed the steps exactly, all 100% , clippers are working great again.
Thank you for watching! Appreciate the comment! Glad it helps!
I did the same. But when I place the lever up ,then looks all crooked. Then lever down and make the blades together is all good. Goes crazy when its up
I never experienced this. I will move the lever up and down after each cut to see if this happens to mine. Cheers.
@@lmbpros i dont even have to see the cut, just by moving up, the blades are perfect, moving down and goes mental,

Invaluable.

Did you figure it out?
Unfortunately the video doesn't show that part of the top blade, how to install/place it.
Thank you so much buddy!!! This really helped, and I didn't have to bring to my barber!

I want to align like my Limural wireless was stock, I installed ceramic blades and I'm basically at a Zero gap. I want stock alignment so I can do a proper 0.5/1/2 fade.
The screw on the side, that adjusts til you hear the loud noise. THANK YOU for pointing that out.

Err, I think that slot in the brush handle might be for setting this gap 0:53, it looks like the exact same length as the blade
you should go a quarter turn more on the power screw
How often do u lubricate it?
Also how often do u clean the hairs that get inside the machine?
Probably after About 5 cuts. I clean and lubricate at the same time.
For corded, if you have a sponge that comes with it, it does a good job of keeping hairs out (I check once in a long while). I rarely open cos it is time consuming.
@@lmbpros what is that sponge?
I have a Wahl Color Pro Plus and i didnt see it (i even opened the machine).

great video sir. thank you so much. i think what there is a problem with my clipper. the white "arm" that it below the cutter blade is not straight because when i put upon it the cutter blade, it bends on one side. can i do anything about it?
I tried google this topic but very few hits.
you can replace the vibrating arm though here is a link for an australian store

If the bottom
Blade(cutting blade) sits crooked with the plastic in the middle, and the top still blade Can’t align straight with the bottom teeth, this would be a defect right?
My cutting blade sits crooked And the top simply doesn’t move enough to make up for the slant
I tried to look into this issue, with this video..ua-cam.com/video/Wb1w46_7As4/v-deo.html
I need to know if I can replace the white plastic that’s attached to to the metal vibrator that cuts the hair?
ua-cam.com/video/Wb1w46_7As4/v-deo.html
I made a video about this.
If you turn it on and as I've shown (be careful not to cut yourself) by pinching the blades and your pinching stops the blades then tune/adjust/power-up by adjusting!
cheers
When I took apart the blade there was these 2 pointy things sticking out
What side does the blade go on. Mine looks like it would matter. What side is top. I know the words for the top blade is facing you... but the inside blade, which is top?
The flat side of the bottom blade would face the white head. the two teeth of each blade meet each other.
Thanks! My clippers are working perfectly again!
Thank you for the comment. Really appreciate you taking time to send a comment! Cheers! Glad it helped out a bit
Where can I buy the replacement screws that holds in the blade? And what is the name of it?

HELP PLEASE.
My clipper motor is active but barley moves back and forward despite turning the power knob, therefore the cutting blade doesn't move enough to cut hair. Any suggestions?
Hi, one suggestion I've been told is that the 'cam follower is worned out'. This applies to cordless clippers.
www.wahlspareparts.com.au/p/cam-follower-4
I have a dumb question . I don't understand the part about the gap. There is supposed to be an 8mm gap between what? What are you measuring at 2:15?
Hi! I struggled understanding this 'gap' that everyone was talking about too!
au.wahl.com/AU.wahlglobal.com/media/Manuals-Factsheets/Barber-Tool-Care.pdf
"The top & bottom blades should be parallel with the top blade approximately 0.8mm behind the bottom blade (do not have the top blade level with the bottom blade as this can cause skin pinching or cutting)"
Gonna repeat it.... Don't level the top and bottom blades even. Just slightly **lower** the TOP blade down by 0.8mm (not 8mm!) so they look like they are parallel
At first, I leveled both blades (both are even) and I learnt the 'pinching' the hard way... very painful. lol
Hope that helps!
Cheers. Thank you for watching! Really appreciate it.
not 8mm, 0.8mm, bottom blade should be 0.8mm ahead of top blade.
Great video just what I was looking for .
Cheers. Really appreciate the comment ☺️
TYSM. I already fixed my clipper... It's not noisy anymore.
Cheers mate! Thank you for your comment.
Very curious now
Googling a quick check on Blade replacements they average about AUD35 and up to AUD60 (rip off) excluding shipping/tax
I also learnt about stagger tooth blades (comes with WAHL magic clip) and precision blades (comes with WAHL Seniors)!
I thought its just a manufacturing defect because the clipper is cheap(that i dont mind because its personal use anyway)
And Im being tempted to forcing the lever up if still can go up but thanks to this video i wont be doing that 😂

2. Can the white plastic that holds the small teeth be moved/centered?
ua-cam.com/video/Wb1w46_7As4/v-deo.html
I made a video to investigate when this happens.
Good luck
Regarding 2. I don't think the white head can be removed. Mine looks like it's glued down.
Thank you very much. This video worked for me

Hello. I Have previously tried to zero gap my clippers and I have successfully done it. However no when I use the clipper and turn it on, either the cutting blade or stationary blade keep moving horizontally and they dont align at times. How do I fix? Appreciate it.
The motor on the clippers is very powerful so the blades can get out of alignment (plus also thickness of hair is a factor,.... perhaps )
My best guess is to keep zero gap and tighten it just a little bit more (pls don’t over tighten!!!)
I tried doing this. But they do the really loud buzzing sound all the time, how matter how much i loosen or tighten the screw.
Any ideas?
I've since learnt that for cordless clippers, it the "cam follower" is worn out (it's a piece of plastic) it will make a loud sounds. Try google "Wahl cam follower". Good luck
Thanks a lot, clear, easy and effective!
Thank you!

@@lmbpros let me know if it works
My top blade always "parks" to the right hand side. This makes it impossible to align the bottom blade properly. Any tips please?
Mine does that too. I'm no expert but Im guessing the vibration just knocks it out of place. I just tighten it a bit more but NEver over-tighten any screws especially on electrical items and plastics.
also I always clean and re-align after every cut that helps it keep in place
cheers sorry cant help more.
