    I have a 50 year old 89 Taper Wahl clipper that had not been used for many years. It made a horrible loud noise with the teeth not moving. I followed your step by step instructions and was able to align the teeth and get it working again . Thank you for your simple instructions step by step close ups. I think you saved me from buying a new one.

    Thank you so much! I thought my brand new clippers were blunt and useless and i was already shopping around for clippers 4 times as expensive and then happened to search and found this video. In 15 min my clippers were just cutting so fine! They had come with a gap of almost 2mm or more. Thanks once again from Mumbai, India.

    Thank you, this is the best Wahl clipper adjustment video I've seen, easy and precise. I had taken my wahl apart to clean awhile ago and it never seemed to work right afterward, after watching this video and adjusting my clippers per instructions they cut better than when I purchased my clippers. Cut my hair in half the time as last time. Again, Thank you!

    My clippers weren't cutting. They were moving side to side but they weren't cutting. Aligning them like you said; right side of the blade on the fat part and the left side of the blade aligned with the 2nd thin triangle, and also pushing the blade "up" a bit closer to the edge fixed my problem. Thanks!

    My advice is to never try to disassemble your clipper, unless you really know what you're doing and you have a really good reason for doing it. I still regret disassembling mine, because it took me a very long time and a lot of reading on the internet to put them back as close to the original as possible. I still doubt that they are absolutely aligned, but they were much worse the last few attempts, so I'm not messing with mine ever again.

      Hi Thanks for watching! Not sure what else I can add to what I've already said in the video.
      You'll just have to keep positioning the blades until it's just right using your sight/judgment.
      You also probably know that when you tighten the screws back in place, the blades will move.
      It's just a matter of keep doing it 'til you you get it in the right position.
      Getting the screws in with just the right amount of tightness is another thing to consider
      Sorry if Im not helpful. Hope you get it right.

    In which position the moving blade needs to be for aligning the blades? I think its very strange that no toturial is mentioning this (even the original wahl)

    • @lmbpros
      @lmbpros  3 роки тому

      The top blade (that sits on the white prong) does not move. You should not force it to move in any way.
      The bottom blade can be move/adjusted by slightly unscrewing the two bottom screws.
      I explained it in the video. It will tell you which position to move the bottom blade relative to the top blade. Good luck. Thanks for your comment

    great video sir. thank you so much. i think what there is a problem with my clipper. the white "arm" that it below the cutter blade is not straight because when i put upon it the cutter blade, it bends on one side. can i do anything about it?

    • @lmbpros
      @lmbpros  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, thank you for the comment! Thanks for watching! From my what I know (Im no expert sorry), the white head that connects to the vibrating arm should never be bent. The only reason I can come up why it can be bent is that the unit has been dropped head first.
      I highly not recommend messing with the internals of the clipper ( I have wrecked one of my WAHLs :( trying to mess around inside ) However, since yours is already bent to one side, you can attempt to straighten it out as the metal that the white piece is connected to is quite bendable. That soft metal should only bend upwards and downwards. If you're saying bends on one side, meaning left or right then something is definitely wrong.
      Always bring back to your retailer if under warranty! dont open the case as it voids warranty! good luck. sorry cant help much. I tried google this topic but very few hits.

    Sorry im confused- so i bought a Wahl balder 3 or 4 years back but never used it because of the loud noise. I fished out again during lockdown. Hi thank you for watching!
      I'm no expert but for me personally, I always clean out my clippers after every cut so I have to align the blades after cleaning.
      I don't always tune/power-up the black adjustment screw. If you turn it on and as I've shown (be careful not to cut yourself) by pinching the blades and your pinching stops the blades then tune/adjust/power-up by adjusting!

If tilted, motor will even stop as it must be striking the lower shroud somewhere. Do you have any thoughts? I would hate to throw out $40 clippers for something mechanical. • @lmbpros
      @lmbpros  4 роки тому

      Hi! I struggled understanding this 'gap' that everyone was talking about too!
      au.wahl.com/AU.wahlglobal.com/media/Manuals-Factsheets/Barber-Tool-Care.pdf
      "The top & bottom blades should be parallel with the top blade approximately 0.8mm behind the bottom blade (do not have the top blade level with the bottom blade as this can cause skin pinching or cutting)"
      Gonna repeat it.... Don't level the top and bottom blades even. Just slightly **lower** the TOP blade down by 0.8mm (not 8mm!) so they look like they are parallel
      At first, I leveled both blades (both are even) and I learnt the 'pinching' the hard way... very painful. lol
      Hope that helps!
      Cheers. Thank you for watching! Really appreciate it.

    • @lmbpros
      @lmbpros  3 роки тому

      Thank you very much for your kind comments. Really appreciate it and thank you for watching too.
      Broken tooth... I honestly don't know but I imagine you might get hair stuck or jammed between the tooth or blades? Or perhaps not cut a line or section of hair? Very curious now
      Googling a quick check on Blade replacements they average about AUD35 and up to AUD60 (rip off) excluding shipping/tax
      I also learnt about stagger tooth blades (comes with WAHL magic clip) and precision blades (comes with WAHL Seniors)!
      Also just learnt there are mods that you can even buy an ANDIS blade to fit onto a WAHL (US website about USD30 excluding shipping/tax).
      So you got a good reason to research and buy a new replacement!
      I know what you mean, those blades keep moving out of position when screwing back together. It took alot of patience and experience until I got it aligned just right!

    My clippers teeth physically can't align like that. I think the white plastic in the middle that holds the small blade is not centered. So my big teeth align with the edge of the bottom. Not the bottoms teeth, but the edge of the blade. The other sides big teeth align with the 3rd tooth.
