It’s interesting that you posted this particular video, because another person I watch on UA-cam (Paul From Perth) was diagnosed with terminal cancer last summer, and presently he’s really fighting to stay alive. He had HIPEC surgery in the fall, and is now using a colostomy bag, which has been quite a challenge for him. Recently, he went out to a football match, which only a year ago would have been a normal event for him - but after everything he’s been through, and because he has other issues from the HIPEC surgery, he now has to make sure he’s properly packed for the outing (he did a video on this). I’m reminded, when watching videos from you and Paul and from others, not to take anything for granted. I’m also reminded how nice it is to be surrounded by nice people. I think that everything is going to be okay for you. Life, of course, is a time of incredible highs and incredible lows. We just have to try to keep going forward, unafraid, with love in our hearts. You’re setting an example for us, young Eirin.

We have a specialist Spinal Injuries Centre/‘Stoke Mandeville’ Hospital, a place I visited on numerous occasions when a dear friend had a horse riding accident. I like learning from you very much 😃! And☝️as I love to travel but am an impulsive somewhat erratic and creative woman I always struggle with packing 😆. Also because I aim to take only the absolute minimum. Carry on luggage when flying, or 1 suitcase only for 2 people so as not to be bothered with carrying around heavy stuff while travelling. Which of course means a lot of presorting, considering and eliminating. And of course resorting 🤭. Watching you prepare your luggage I've just learnt to not only sort items and leave them at various places in the apartment but ☝️ to put them in 1 spot only so I have the overall view. Probably sounds ridiculous to most of you 😂. But I am so used to my brain racing on multiple tracks simultaneously that sometimes I forget to make things easy 😂 for myself. Oh and by the way, not only have I been using your "start doing an unpleasant thing for 5 minutes only and you'll find yourself finishing the task" but I've also taught this to several people around me 😊. I can not TELL you enough about how proud I am of you. You are so organized. I am always a dying mess leaving on a trip. I take most everything including the kitchen sink. And when I am gone I always forget 2 or 3 items. And then I think to myself what a wonderful world we live in to be able to go down to the store and get whatever we need. Even though you brought it all. Do you still have to buy items on your travel? And how easy could that be if you needed something medical?

Praying for a safe and blessed trip for you. I too suffer from PCOS. I have facial hair that I hate. It use to be black but since I"m in my 70's now it's turned white but still shows up really bad. I use a small battery operated hand held tool that helps to get rid of it for a few hours. I don't use it everyday but only when I'm going someplace. I also use wax or get one of my granddaughters to wax my face. She's a hair stylist so that helps a lot. I look forward to seeing another one of your videos. They are all so inspiring!!!

Are you driving or flying to Bergen? I saw a kid with their Sol di janeiro body mist and it exploded all over their suitcase. Make sure if you are flying or even possibly changing altitudes that you put open containers and liquids into a plastic sealable bag or tape around the cap and container and in something sealed plastic just in case. Still watching but so far love this packing video. Another Eirin organizing classic. I love it and many who travel with various chronic illness or special needs will appreciate this. My own extras are a CPAP machine, a bunch of medication (bottle and prepacked boxes), a meds and allergies list with my doctor’s name, address, phone and fax and previous health issues and current issues if needing to be involved. I use that list for various new doctors also. Ok watching on. Commenting bits as I go. I love that you are honest about all of your packing needs. I have a tremor and have one of those flossing holders and the little click in floss also and it’s a Godsend to make it easier to do my flossing. Your skincare is pretty amazing all considering. There’s a shampoo here and maybe you can order something similar. The brand is Nizoral shampoo for scalp issues. I’m wondering if using conditioner contributes to the dermatitis. I’m sure being in bed a lot and body temp changes contribute plus the PCOS. I have developed more facial hair as a result of aging and tried once one of those face shaving stick things and omg I was shocked with the tiny hairs I don’t even notice growing back in and feeling sand papery like shaved legs growing back but maybe much less cactus texture lol! I was shocked and decided to go back to wax strips but have shied away bc I need to do a good amount of wax strips and like you I have extremely sensitive skin and don’t want to borrow trouble. I need to get on it but have just been individual plucking the most offensive hairs for now but really I need a clean up. I wish we lived closer. You are my chronic illness beauty advisor now. Does using the facial shaver upset your skin when you use it? Ok watching the last bit and loved that you brought air freshener to brighten the air when changing the ostomy bag. My ex had just a urine bag and we had some leaks as we were new to using it. Maybe bring an extra bed pad in case of emergency leaks or to prevent them but I will assume you are old hat at ostomy and urostomy links and nights. I changed a lot of bedding while learning back then. Having backup links to the bags will be good too in case one gets lost or dropped on floor or down a sink or toilet or just lost to the packing gremlins. Also agree with extra hair ties and I usually bring a scrunchie but not sure your hair is suitable to that. On a fun products thing, the kiddos now are into a new toothpaste brand from Australia called Hismile (hi smile) and they have some kid flavors. I’m not into kid flavors but like cinnamon and there’s a clove toothpaste I want to try. For now just using sensitive teeth sensodyne and hoping for the best on my dental care. That’s off topic of packing but made me think of you as you enjoyed the sol stuff. Oops just saw at the end you are driving. Good luck on all!! I’m a planner too and have been wanting to try those packing cubes. After seeing your use of them, I am definitely going to get a set. Also, my friend is using the Kevin Murphy hair care products and is enjoying good results. My hair is color treated-do they have color safe products? Are you driving or flying to Bergen? I saw a kid with their Sol di janeiro body mist and it exploded all over their suitcase. Make sure if you are flying or even possibly changing altitudes that you put open containers and liquids into a plastic sealable bag or tape around the cap and container and in something sealed plastic just in case. Still watching but so far love this packing video. Another Eirin organizing classic. I love it and many who travel with various chronic illness or special needs will appreciate this. My own extras are a CPAP machine, a bunch of medication (bottle and prepacked boxes), a meds and allergies list with my doctor’s name, address, phone and fax and previous health issues and current issues if needing to be involved. I use that list for various new doctors also.

I have a tremor and have one of those flossing holders and the little click in floss also and it’s a Godsend to make it easier to do my flossing. Your skincare is pretty amazing all considering. There’s a shampoo here and maybe you can order something similar. The brand is Nizoral shampoo for scalp issues. I’m wondering if using conditioner contributes to the dermatitis. I’m sure being in bed a lot and body temp changes contribute plus the PCOS.
I have developed more facial hair as a result of aging and tried once one of those face shaving stick things and omg I was shocked with the tiny hairs I don’t even notice growing back in and feeling sand papery like shaved legs growing back but maybe much less cactus texture lol! I was shocked and decided to go back to wax strips but have shied away bc I need to do a good amount of wax strips and like you I have extremely sensitive skin and don’t want to borrow trouble.
I need to get on it but have just been individual plucking the most offensive hairs for now but really I need a clean up. I wish we lived closer. You are my chronic illness beauty advisor now.
Does using the facial shaver upset your skin when you use it?
Ok watching the last bit and loved that you brought air freshener to brighten the air when changing the ostomy bag. My ex had just a urine bag and we had some leaks as we were new to using it. Maybe bring an extra bed pad in case of emergency leaks or to prevent them but I will assume you are old hat at ostomy and urostomy links and nights. I changed a lot of bedding while learning back then. Having backup links to the bags will be good too in case one gets lost or dropped on floor or down a sink or toilet or just lost to the packing gremlins.
Also agree with extra hair ties and I usually bring a scrunchie but not sure your hair is suitable to that.
On a fun products thing, the kiddos now are into a new toothpaste brand from Australia called Hismile (hi smile) and they have some kid flavors. I’m not into kid flavors but like cinnamon and there’s a clove toothpaste I want to try. For now just using sensitive teeth sensodyne and hoping for the best on my dental care.

I’m a planner too and have been wanting to try those packing cubes. After seeing your use of them, I am definitely going to get a set. Also, my friend is using the Kevin Murphy hair care products and is enjoying good results. My hair is color treated-do they have color safe products? So glad that things are moving forward regarding those health issues! Prayers for all positive outcomes and safe travel. Hoping too that you can do some sight seeing along the way so its a holiday for you☀⛱ as well. Who will take care of your feline friend?!

They are exceptionally expensive, so only the burn units in some hospitals; have them ❤️
@@eirinceciliegjedrem I know they are expensive...but I know someone who was just in one recovering from plastic, reconstructive surgery...so the burn unit being the only place in the hospital they have them is probably only true in your state.
I’m from Norway, so if they’re made in the U.S.; that could be why ❤️🥰
