The courts have already said that Gawker, the company which owns Kotaku is so toxic it had to pay Hulk Hogan $140 million as a verdict for a lawsuit he filed (with the help of Peter Thiel funding the lawsuits with $10 million). Gawker had to sell their whole company to come up with $30 million which is all they managed to pay of the court-ordered damages.
Kotaku is one step away from being an outright terrorist organization.

I assume they mean to denigrate these gentlemen to their loved ones as they begin a campaign harassing their mother, or their wife, and any associations they can dig up around them.
These are not socially normative behaviors that they keep displaying, and encouraging between one another. These are a group of people who have always lived outside of the normal and popular groups, and getting into positions like these where* they can vindictively target those same people they’ve felt ostracized by since childhood is their raison d’être. There is a very spiteful element to everything they choose to do. Looks like it's time to go to court again. Last time Kotaku's parent company Gawker had to sell all its assets...the whole company to be able to pay a fraction of the damages which the court ordered them to pay.
Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) took Kotaku to court and was awarded a total of $140 million in damages...of which Kotaku after selling their whole company was able to pay $30 million in the end.
That's why there is no more Gawker anymore, and why Kotaku and all the websites which used to be under Gawker are now under Univision. I wonder what Univision is going to do.

Univision now owns Kotaku only because Kotaku's previous parent company was ordered by the court to pay Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) $140 million in damages. The previous parent company had to sell all their assets and thus Univision ended up buying all of these websites including Kotaku. I doubt that Univision wants the same fate...
Peter Thiel helped out the last lawsuit against Kotaku's parent company, maybe he'll want to help out again. Or maybe Elon will step up as per his promise to help fight harassment related to twitter messages.
