Princess Diana, the world's most photographed woman, was buried Saturday far out of the reach of even the longest telephoto lens, on the grounds of her childhood home.
Crowds had followed her almost to the last, lining up five-deep along the rural road leading to Althorp Park, the ancestral home of her family, the Spencers.
Hundreds of people flocked to the country lanes to witness the final few miles of Diana's final journey.
Her family decided bring the Princess back to her true `home'.
The Spencer's ancestral home in Althorp, two hours north of London, was where she developed the shy-but-warm charm that captivated the nation and the world.

No royal in Britain has ever drew these numbers lining the streets for their funeral. Only Diana.

King George VI, queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Mother Elizabeth.
I can't thing of another funeral where everyone lined the streets and threw flowers at the royal hearse. The people held her in such high regard. That was so touching to me.
Princess diana was a amazing mother and lady no one can replace her. You only have one mother treasure her while she is here.

Princess Diana surely the most popular princess ever. The people loved her thats why shes called the peoples princess. Prince Charles had the best taste of all royals just a pitty the way things end.
