  • Prince William was 15 and Prince Harry just 12 when their mother was killed in a car accident in France. Now the brothers are opening up about their biggest regret: their last phone call with Princess Diana. In the HBO documentary film, "Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy," the princes remember their mom as a prankster. They were vacationing in Scotland when she died and, in the movie, they recall their last phone conversation with her. #InsideEdition

Not from a mom's perspective. She was calling to check on them, a lively short chat is better than tears and problems. She was calling to check on them, they were having a great day playing like normal kids. I'm certain she giggled at their normal kid behavior and cherished the fact that they were happy.

Pearl the rebel Many have alleged that the queen and her hubby wanted Diana and her Muslim beau dead. The queen showed no grief about it. The people of England were upset with her callous attitude and it was only then the queen made a public statement about it. That's proof the queen hated Diana and could have cared less about her death.

I never really bought into the whole collective grief thing in the days immediately after Diana's death. People wandering around outside Buckingham and Kensington Palaces weeping and wailing. My only thoughts were for the two boys and what they were going through and how I thought their grandmother did exactly the right thing in keeping them at Balmoral away from the glare of media attention. Watching these two young men and how they've developed it is clear that their mother's brief influence on their lives has lasted. She did indeed leave them an invaluable legacy. So now they've opened up about her as a tribute in the 20th anniversary of her death I hope this will satisfy people and we can now, finally, allow her to rest in peace and that there won't be any need for further public anniversaries.

It's got to be immensely painful for William that he can't take great joy in letting his mother take her grandchildren out for the day or go shopping with her daughter-in-law. Harry will feel those emotions aswell when he eventually becomes a dad.

He is like her in so many way, it's painful to see sometimes 💔 Diana was just as brave and strong 💪 when things were hard she still put a smile on her face and did her job for the people.

She would also be HELLA proud of Harry too, pls! He was able to do what she was never to, get out. He gave his wife what Charles didn’t give Diana, love and security. She would have loved both her sons, both their wives and all their kids. She would be angry at the institution tho for allowing them to drift apart and also for not standing by Harry’s side.

@@SummerRenaissance absolutely. Diana would have stood by Harry and supported him in his move and he never would have felt the need to do that interview because he would have had the support of his mother. It’s clear Harry felt hurt about the lack of support from his family over the last few years and Diana would have never allowed him to feel that way.

This is why you need to spend every moment with someone as if it’s your last, not in a sad way but yeah. It’s nothing relatable to losing your mother but I’ve lost a few cats that I’d had for YEARS. One was with me since I was born and the other not far after. I was away on a trip when the second cat needed surgery for his eye, his liver failed in surgery and he passed away. I didn’t know until I came back home from the other country and I was heart broken. I didn’t even really get to say goodbye
