@nixchick20 I was!!! For years my husband and I talked about Mark trying scorpion pepper for the first time. We are huge fans so this was the video we waited on 😀🔥
What an awesome awesome episode. Mark you are THE man!! Bertie's has made a name for themselves..and the flavour has been consistent over the years.👏👏👏
lol he mad man.....never see crazied dude like him eat super duper hot chill and get no nosebreed or coma and he not human but possible an alien breed form outside earths
Yes, this Scorpion pepper trip was particularly entertaining. I love pepper but will not even touch a scotch bonnet, I can imagine his taste buds after that . nothing a shot of puncheon can't fix though.
Mark I'm convinced your mouth, throat, and stomach are made of steel at this point. Bravo to your efforts at eating the beautiful peppers of Trinidad!! 🥰❤
Mark, I can't believe you ate the whole scorpion pepper!! You're a BRAVE man!!😂 Loved this beautiful journey into the pepper fields, pepper manufacturing and pepper eating too!😁💜👏
After watching this video, I ordered a bottle of Berties pepper sauce. I have a fairly high tolerance for spice heat (not like Mark has though), I found it very flavorful with a bit of a vinegar taste, the heat was a lower medium for me. I tried to order the scorpion sauce, but they were out. It is also a bit on the expensive side at 12.99 for 300ml.
Mark has a knack for bringing out the true essence of a country as a Trinidadian I’m so happy for this accurate representation of the spirit of my country ❤Thanks Mark ❤
The fried pork, cooked so carefully. The chilly farm field trip is unbelievable. Very nice video. Mark is so energized and his videos are so engaging. ❤
Alot of the World's hottest peppers call Trinidad and Tobago home. If any foreigners decide to visit, please expect to be eating alot of spicy food. If you can handle spicy food, you'll fit right in with us ❤😂
I have never hear Mark say wow thats spicy , One whole pepper in a dish of food normally one in a huge pot of food . What a tolerance level Mark has unreal :)
I can't believe Mark ate a whole scorpion pepper. That man is 100% Trinidadian. I eat pepper but i can not eat a whole scorpion pepper at all. Well done Mark so glad that you came and visit our beautiful country.
Your ability to eat extreme hot peppers is amazing. I have often wondered how anyone can actually taste the food with your mouth on fire. It must be like people who can tolerate pain. Love your videos!
I didn't realise how diverse Trinidad is. Amazingly cool to see different cultures speaking and cooking like this. All of the food looks incredibly good.
Never saw a machine like that for sowing seeds. Pretty interesting. Also, beautiful farm. Once again Mark, I'm glad you came and proud of how you've portrayed us. :) Blessings.
Yes. It was fascinating. Never knew we had those machines here. Logically though, can't see anyone touching those seeds even to cultivate because that's where the heat is.
I watch your channel every single night with my wife. No matter how bad of a day I've had at work I know I can count on ol' Mark Wiens to cheer me up with his food experiences and reactions. Love ya Mark from Oregon 😊
I'm Trini and have been to Mauritius, amongst many other countries. Really, very similar, but yet I could see the difference as well. Mauritius is undoubtedly beautiful, and so warm and gracious. However, with no bias, Trinidad and Tobago is on a different level. The similarity ends with the mix of races. Each Island has developed their own dynamic of meshing. TnT is truly one of a kind.
Thanks for doing a great job with my country and its diverse foods. We definitely have the best food in the Caribbean and you've certainly shown it off.
I didn't really know a lot about Trinidad and Tobago before watching Mark's videos on it. Feels like I've really gotten to know this place through food alone! Will have to visit soon!
If individuals could be awarded World Heritage awards by UNESCO, like they do with locations, Mark Wiens definitely deserves an award. He has exposed to SO MUCH world culture through food, he deserves an award. Extra points for the way he is cool, calm and respectful about the foods he tests and places he visits. 🗺
I use to suffer from huge loneliness feeling. And so I discovered that spicy food, especially when it burns, bring me some kind of presence inside me. There are natural foods, which give the pleasure of the raw nature There is salt, vinaigar, olive oil, which bring tastiness. And when it begins to be hot, it begins to fill your heart and warm your brain, with black pepper, hot red peppers. It works with others "painful" food, as French strong mustard, or Japanese wasabi. The gustative pain can be something like you do not feel the loneliness, and this is a sweat feeling when you do miss someone with you.
I never realized how diverse and beautiful Trinidad is. I feel like a lot of people overseas (or at least where I am from) do not realize what a jewel this place is! Gorgeous country! Definitely on my list of places to visit! And that food! I JUST WANT TO EAT MY WEIGHT IN ALL OF THAT DELICIOUSNESS! (But I can do without the Scorpion Peppers. I would die.)
Totally agree...I ate a normal hot pepper yesterday bc I wanted to get the joy he gets lol but I ended up crying hah😂...I love spicy food but I can't handle the heat the way he does
Start low with like jalapeños n stuff. Then when they're not enough move up to Serrano and so on. Once you can handle the heat you can begin to taste em. And they're pretty good.
The people of Trinidad lookin at Mark like “this guy is crazy!” The man talks about how hot scorpions r and then slices another piece off n eats it. 😳🔥 and while every1 else sweats, Marks keeps saying oooh wooooow! And goes for more. Real foodie 😎
Mark thanks for coming to Trinidad and Tobago, I can see you enjoyed your visit, I must say you're the first person I've seen who eats so much peppers..... man awesomeness!!!!.....come back soon.
Mark I can’t explain how much I appreciate you traveling and showing other cultures & cuisines from around the world. Thank you for all that you do! 🖤✨
YEA, MAN!!!! Da Peppa party is gonna be at Quan Keps!!! When me and friends of mine were visiting Trinidad and Tobago we ate at Quan Keps. That food is soooo good. I did not realize the variety of food in that country. We ate Indian Food, the local food, any food. I have not seen Bertie's hot sauce for ever. It is incredible. One of my friends can handle the heat. BUT, when it came to the Scorpion pepper. He looked like a cartoon character bouncing off the walls. This video was a lot of fun. And I, with my German heritage, ate lots of Dat puddin'! Me and my friends are planning another trip. When the world's loony stuff is finished, its back to Quan Keps for more of that pork and puddin'!!!
I'm Trinidadian 🇹🇹 and I can't even eat an Itty bitty bite of that scorpion pepper, nuff respect to Mark, he can really handle the heat.

Mark, I'm impressed!! Your pepper tolerance is really high! 🔥🔥🔥 I am a pepper mouth so I'm loving this video!
My fav channel to go to for recipes 😅, we need more vids
You were waiting for this video 😅
@nixchick20 I was!!! For years my husband and I talked about Mark trying scorpion pepper for the first time. We are huge fans so this was the video we waited on 😀🔥
Thank you so much, we will get along together very well eating pepper!
The lady explained is speaking beautifuly , so clear and easy to comprehend. Thanks!!!❤❤❤❤❤
What an awesome awesome episode. Mark you are THE man!! Bertie's has made a name for themselves..and the flavour has been consistent over the years.👏👏👏
Who else agreed Mark Wiens never fails to entertain us ☝️

I'm constantly checking for his new videos in my subscription feed 😆
Pure heart. Rare to find
Yes, this Scorpion pepper trip was particularly entertaining. I love pepper but will not even touch a scotch bonnet, I can imagine his taste buds after that . nothing a shot of puncheon can't fix though.
He's really a pepper boss
Export and import tarrifs are high af for trinidad, is part of why
Mark has a knack for bringing out the true essence of a country as a Trinidadian I’m so happy for this accurate representation of the spirit of my country ❤Thanks Mark ❤
The fried pork, cooked so carefully. The chilly farm field trip is unbelievable. Very nice video. Mark is so energized and his videos are so engaging. ❤
Mark....you are the Sorceror of Spice, the President of Pain, the Hero of Heat.....you are the Man when it comes to Scorpion Peppers!
Huge respect to Zaak for being the real MV.P. taking bite of the scorpion, risking his very life for his country. What a hero!
Hahahaha 🤣 LoL yeah he real brave that's what patriotism is all about taking one for the team
A REAL patriot 😂😂😂
Lol risking life and limb
😂😂😂
Lmaooooo
Mark you have defined what pepper mouth is. Love how you showcased our pepper. Thank you 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Alot of the World's hottest peppers call Trinidad and Tobago home.
Although I think he suffered
You Come To Bangladesh I invade ?
@@rianamohamed300 for sure. only thing hotter than that at the moment is a carolina reaper.
No one tell me that this isn’t mark wiens best series. This is the best series or on par with the Jamaican one! Amazing!
Mark is showing food process of peppers in Trinidad. He showcasing the local farmer and the products.
Its how Mark lights up when hes eating pepper. it never gets old. you sure do love pepper.
I watch your channel every single night with my wife. No matter how bad of a day I've had at work I know I can count on ol' Mark Wiens to cheer me up with his food experiences and reactions. Love ya Mark from Oregon 😊
Trinidad reminds me of the island of Mauritius. Both beautiful countries with so many different cultures. Both places I want to visit in my lifetime !
So many similarities. A mix of European, Chinese, Indian, African, Middle Eastern just in different proportions
The influx of Asians. Pakistani, India, etc.
I’d love to see Mark on Hot Ones!
Would love that but they would to double devil level hahahaha
Sounds awesome 👍 plus a experts opinion on hot pepper sauces of good choice.
Mark would be the one asking the questions
Them pepper not doing he anything 😂
That would be amazing.
Brilliant video as ever Mark. Trinidadian food looks amazing. I'm originally from Lancashire, so totally impressed by the Black Pudding!
There are natural foods, which give the pleasure of the raw nature
There is salt, vinaigar, olive oil, which bring tastiness.
I've always known Mark can eat spice, but this video just confirms this man is built different. He makes the spiciest peppers look tasty lol
Fire! 💯🔥🔥🔥
it's called being a man
The people of Trinidad lookin at Mark like “this guy is crazy!” The man talks about how hot scorpions r and then slices another piece off n eats it.
You know its hot when Mark is slicing a chilli pepper instead of just throwing it into his mouth!!! Feeling the fumes all the way from Australia
This guy is king of spicy
I love the Trinidadian accent, it sounds so soothing.
Thanks 😊❤️
It's like Jamaican with a hint of South Africa or something.
