they use the high end CPUs because that gets rid of any bottlenecks
shadows96100 Those CPUs will definitly not bottleneck this GPU, or even a R9 270X. Not only they won't bottlenenck but it's a more realistic comparison, I wouldn't buy an i7 4770K if I pretend to use this GPU or even a R9 270X. I wouldn't even buy an 4770K if I was going to use a R9 280X as well.
Sapphire truly produces good quality GPU at low price. :) I have 3 of their GPU on my 2 PC, it's really cool, quiet and amazing. Also, nice review and video, Elric. :)
i have sapphire 5770 vaporx its still working well :D at first i regret buying this over msi because its not a well known manufacturer here in my country
I'm using a 7850, still works like new. Really quiet and cool with that dual x cooler

GhettoBrezzy Hey i actually am running this card in a budget system with 8gb ram and amd fx6300 Black edition running stock clock and am getting a small diffrence in fps for example he showed bio shock infinite on ultra running at 61 fps i can run it at 52 fps so just letting you know.
If I do a lot of editing, should I buy an i5 or i7 or go with an AMD processor. There is just so many options and I just want to know which one will suit my needs. Thanks!

Honestly the 750 TI preforms well but the R7 265 easily out performs it. If you are willing to spend $30 more, go for the R9 270, at the price of $179 it does amazing for price to performance and be overclocked safely to R9 270X speeds.
R7 265, lower price for higher performance, seems a really good choice
750ti because its easy to oc (mine runs at 1200mhz boost clock) and it handles watch dogs on high (and ultra but it lags a bit when you enter a tunnel).
Quentin Böttger Watch dogs is horribly un-optimized for AMD cards. No one game should be a deicing factor. When the R9 265 was not out the 750 TI was a good choice but since it is out there is no longer a reason to consider the 750 TI. Maybe if you are so confined by your purchase that you are not able to upgrade your PSU then maybe then consider it.
So thus THIS r7 265 is the winner in this video's vid card comparison in Tomb Raider, BF4, Crysis 3, and Witcher 2. If you play THOSE games and the r7 265 dual x is CHEAPER than the 750ti AND you trust Sapphire's rma support IN CASE there is a problem that warrants a RMA, THEN this card is the clear winner.
Personally i'm uncertain of Sapphire because of mixed reviews overall on the net from newegg, tigerdirect, ncix, and amazon over the past 7 years that i've kept up with AND the fact that I have never tried a Sapphire card.
Also if you trust AMD drivers ( which i DON'T and KNOW BETTER TO from 10+ years of experience with them AND nvidia. ) and you're lucky enough to get a vid card from the red team in which the drivers DON'T have major issues, THEN yes this card is an excellent buy.
Personally. I'd rather just pump out the cash for a 2GB 760 and call it a day waiting on it to be on sale. NO driver issues ( as long as you DON'T choose beta and DO choose WHGL OR WGHL ..i forgot which off memory), no bs just solid gaming with the green team.
Sapphire R9 270 = 164$
Sapphire R7 265 = 159$

This GPU is awesome! i can max out any new game on 1080p ... Its really worth the money!
I just bought this card but the club 3d royal queen version to replace an hd 6870 setting on an hp motherboard with a 460 no name power supply but the amd 265 didn't output any signal right off the box. the fans spin and it's taking power in but no signal.
Anyone with a similar problem? could it be the power supply isn't enough? It says the minimun required is 500 but iv seen builds online running the 265 with 430w corsair. Any ideas?
The rest of the build is an I7 2011 generation (not sure the model) 8 gb ram and 1 Tera hdd with windows 7. The old 6870's fan started making vacuum loud noise a few months ago but works fine...

i7 3820 and motherboard : 350€
i7 4790 and motherboard 320€
Xeon 1231 V3 and mobo : 280€
i7 4820k and mobo : 400€
So witch one would be the best ? In terms of pure performance and price / performance ?
I have 2 PCs and one of them(small system) have 2x 7790 2GB OC in crossfire and it totally rock 1080p... Its actually my HTPC on which i play games with my friends using controller for like fifa14, mortal combat etc .. And the other system is a beast having 2 x R9 280X toxic..
Anyways did the support part..hope you get better support from AMD soon...

265C is almost the same inside Xbox One, but fully active and with higher clock. So itsl performs better than Xbox One on the recent games. I guess i would perform better than the PS4 too.

If you fill out the rebate, it is cheaper, and a much better buy.
I bought this card just a few hours ago :) installed everything all correctly. But somehow I can't get more resolution than 768p :( What should I do ?

Why AMD is always bad at driver support? I have a Nvidia card, I'm not a fanboy, but I have always hear people saying AMD is crap when it comes to drivers, I don't have nothing bad to say about Nvidia, they have always support my card even when it's an old card, a 560 ti, any idea why is AMD alway like that?
Picked up a Sapphire HD 7870 2GB for $117.68 around 4 months ago, I still to this day say its the best card for the money!
The answer Elric is that AMD doesn't know their ass from their elbow, I have a small computer business and now sell primarily nvidia cards because Evga (pity they don't sell AMD) has great customer support,they never let a problem get to a headache stage and I've never waited longer than 20mins to get hold of a district manager to solve any problem.My usual order is for at least 50 video cards, I don't think AMD has a great partner like that.
why not use mantle in the test bench? If someone uses an AMD Card there not just gonna not take advantage of mantle
Amd is a dying brand. They haven't put out a decent CPU in years, and now their GPU sucks. Intel and Nvidia have won.

I have this baby, and let me tell you, metro last light at medium settings 1080p 2x msaa and 4x filtering, running smooth 60fps no drops, is just great, recommend it all the way
Well if you consider that a Titan for 1100 gets around 40 fps on Crysis 3 with 8x MSAA you can see this little card is no wuss at all.
Not my cup of tea but definitely has a place on the market.
Hey man I love the channel and love the reviews how ever seems odd that you would be doing a budget card then testing it with 32gb ram and a i7 4770k. Lets face it if you are using that rig you would probably have a high end card. Just an observation ;)

lol this € 143.00 card is 1.7x faster than the xbox one.
BF4 fps test is kinda lousy my HD7870 does 40FPS I am pretty sure it is a better card then this :/
And has FreeSync, Adaptive Sync capability with rx-2xx series.

At Witcher 2 the graph is wrong. The 750 ti has 20.23 fps and he is over the r7 260x witch has 20.28 fps.

Actually Titan Z and R9 295X2 have similar perfomance in games. Also Titan Z is underclocked so getting two Titan Black in SLI have better perfomance than Titan Z. Not to mention the price is really high: Titan Z = $3000 , 2 Titan Black = $2000~ , R9 295X2 = $1500. If it's all about gaming only then Titan Z is a stupid idea. :)
