    I've been wanting this case since I first heard about it a couple of months ago. I'm glad to see its finally been released and more people are doing reviews on it. I want it so bad, but I also love my fractal north! For sure, I'm going with another proart build when 15th gen comes out, and I"m for sure getting this case and also the proart AIO.

      @@DJPixcell Yeah its great! I am worried about the performance of the ProArt aio though. While it looks so minimal, clean and nice, the performance just doesn't seem that great for how much it costs from what I've seen in videos reviewing it. So when I do a build with the PA602, I still don't know if I will be going with the Proart lc 420 aio.

      @@Yukeena funny I just mentioned that on my own comment. It's visually very nice and works with the build but the price/performance/features just don't add up. I might settle with an air cooler honestly. Too many liquid coolers are so flashy it's not what I'm looking for lol

    • @Yukeena
      @Yukeena 8 місяців тому +3

      @@DJPixcell I feel you. I don't like my builds to be too flashy either. I want more of an elegant look to my builds and too much RGB is corny imo. The only RGB I really like is on my RAM and even then I turn the brightness down quite a bit. RGB on a cooler can be nice too if done right (like the lc 420 for example). But yeah I'm more of an air cooler kind of guy. I have a Noctua NHU12A Chromax with brown vibration corners, and it looks so clean. I wonder how that cooler would look in the pa602.

    Just finished my new build with the PA602 case. It's a great case with some tiny issues. 1. Mounting the AIO radiator is inconvenient; you need to remove the arena holder first. 2. The misalignment with the GPU back bracket makes it a joke to advertise "Tool-free Graphics Card Slot Clamp for Effortless Installation." It is a good idea but just terribly engineered. 3. I mounted 4 wheels to the case, and removing the foot pads is not effortless. 4. The indicator LED for the dust detection sensor is off by default. I don't know if the sensor is working or deactivated. It's like a Schrodinger's sensor; I will probably get the answer when enough dust is accumulated.

    I was going to do a full proart build in a fractal north but when I seen this release I obviously had to do it.
    What I'm pretty bummed about is the AIO.. visually looks great but the performance was disappointing given its price. Plus the led display seems pretty lacuster given its price as well, I understand they are going for minimal but simple white led matrix would have been something cool to see especially given their own other options from Asus do offer this at around the same price.

    I have a ProArt 4070ti. I like the minimalist look to it. Also temps are great. I think this proves that those humongous beefy coolers aren't really needed on modern GPUs. It's just another reason for AIBs to charge more for something that isn't needed in the first place. Regarding the case, I like the concept of it but it's just way too big and expensive of a case. I have a Lian Li 011 Air Mini and while honestly it's not the best in terms of fan size options when using an ATX sized mobo, it does have really good temps with all the airflow, but on the downside my case does get a TON of dust in it. I find myself having to dust it out about every 2 weeks. Overall I think if Asus made a smaller version of this case and made it in the $100-$120 range I would buy it.

    • @Ratseeker

    It does not make sense testing CPU temp while using AIO cooling to compare cases. The AIO would only reduce horizontal wind pressure and the special front fans would not reach expected performance.

    • @RobeytechLive
      @RobeytechLive  9 місяців тому

      We run all fans at 100% so yes it would show the amount of air being fed to the top cooler and thus change the quality of the cooling.

    • @ASUSUSA
      @ASUSUSA 8 місяців тому

      We tested the chassis with both air cooling ( Noctua and ) AIO based cooling overall performance is comparable.
      72C CPU with NH-D15
      61.9C GPU
      This is with
      Z790 Creator, 13900K and ProArt 4080
      CPU was at 180W
      GPU was at 300W
      66 CPU with ProArt 420 AiO cooler
      64.2C GPU
      Also keep in mind pure measurement of CPU temperature is only only factor as only conveying this point does not actually clearly communicate a performant advantage. You can have a cooler that allows for a higher disipation level that is allowing for higher boost clocks or sustained clocks and sees a nominal increase in temp but is actually a better cooler. To correctly account for this you would need to lock frequency and then compare.

    Looks like a great case. I wish the Type-A front I/O ports were a bit faster (10Gbps)
    I think the ProArt logo on the dust filter would be nicer if it was gold instead of Black. I don’t know if its possible ( in any case) but option to front mount the 420mm AIO or keep the 2 x 200mm fans
    Lastly, this case isn’t BTF or advanced BTF compatible, like ASUS announced for other cases at CES 2024 😢

    As a cat owner still using a Corsair Air 740 and a former HAF X owner, I'd consider the Asus ProArt PA602, a possible upgrade option, but I'd love to see a cubified version, more akin to the Air 740 with a wider foot print, where the PSU and hard drives are located in a side compartment with proper ventilation to keep air moving over the hard drives.
    FWIW I have 3 3.5 storage drives in my AIR 740. I attached a Noctua 92mm fan to the HDD cage with VHB tape, to keep the drives cool, along with another Noctua 92mm attached to the back grill to pull the air out of the compartment containing the HDD’s and PSU.

    Just have to point something out, as i made few custom side panels for testing this theory - Side panel ventilation should be right next to GPU heatsink - now above, not under, just on the same height as heatsink - when GPU fans are blowing air into heatsink, half of hot air bump off motherboard, half is going to...... yes, glass panel. Putting ventilation THERE, would take hald of hot air from GPU from the case instantly. But glad to see they are thinking about that - never tough ASUS will be the one, who will apply most of ideas i throw over internet ;)
    Next thing is GPU thermals - there is room for improvement here. Changing power supply shroud to the one with perforated top, and fan slots (dual 140mm - thats helps a lot) and proper air channel inside PSU shroud (whole bottom panel perforated - you already got dust filter for whole bottom) will help to limit dust cumulation on the GPU itself. Dust will get into GPU from the rear of the case - unfiltered back panel, which is perforated will pass thru air to GPU fan (position most to the back of the case). Positive pressure wont help to this.
    And size and weight.... well, i cannot take more than 10kg (doctor order...) after hernia operation, so glad to see wheels on the case - thats actually something i really respect - noone talks about weight of FULL, COMPLETE BUILD. 15kg for case only, add 2kg for GPU, 1,5kg for CPU heatsink (or 3kg for radiator), 2-3kg for PSU and you got 21kg build. Thats a lot, and specially if it not easy to handle. What about smaller size? With decrease in weight to 10kg? Just to acomodate dual 200mm fans on the front (or dual 180), 140 on the top, 140 on the bottom, and 140 on the back - all 140mm with standard width - 2,5cm (Lian Li failed with this one on O11 Air Mini - keep that in mind).
    ASUS - if you reading this, and you want to make Case that will be :
    - cheap in production
    - fantastic to look, handle, thermal performance and noise levels
    - and you will be able to proce it well, with satisfying margin and proce for end user, let me know.

    you used the perfect word "FANS", Asus and the ProArt series totally neglected 3d modelers, sculptors and animators, the RTX4080 is not good enough for us and the RTX4090 is a MUST have for us, the ProArt MB only offers Wi-Fi 6 while the Aeorus and even the cheap MSI MAG Tomahawk offers Wi-Fi 7, and this case as all the other ProArt series overpriced taking in account the Antec Performance 1 ft is much cheaper and with same quality and will say probably better performance and workflow, we also saw in CES2024 the new MSI cases that are much more appealing than this case, the ProArt series is more about aesthetics than performance I believe, because for high end developers ended being short because the GPU limitations and game developers and 3d artist do not need at all as many thunderbolt ports neither as many M2 slots, plus even the cheap Tomahawk offers 4 M2 slots, at that end working with UE5, houdini, Blender, 3dCoat, Iclone etc, using motion capture and lip sink, you will want to run a NAS, I will say except for the ROG strix 4090 I do not use any other Asus component because in terms of performance and value per price all the other brands offers better products. Then I totally agree with the title "FANS", the high end MB ROG Maximus is a pain and a headache, gives you problems running with 4 RAM sticks at tull RAM capacity is very picky in terms of which RAM brand you use and is a pain to set up with overclocking for a MB over 500 almost $600 MB with just Wi-Fi 6 with many driver issues I really can not see how Aus justify their overpriced products.

      Keep in mind your temps will probably be under this unless you are driving heavier workloads which is generally not going to be the case for the GPU and only applicable to the CPU which with heavier multi threaded sustained workloads could be 250W+
      It is not clear how other chassis are tested for airflow as for instance the H6 flow only comes with 3 fans is the chassis test with all fans populated if so you need to increase cost as the PA602 comes with all the fans included minus the cooler. Also there are other respective features, functions and specifications that increase the cost to compared to more entry chassis. If you purely want a high airflow chassis at a low cost from ASUS consider our upcoming GT302 or even our GT502 which offers solid airflow and comes in at a lower price.
