First of all thank you for being left handed, thank you for the tips, I have that left and right problem. And right now I’m all over the target. New at the sport
that's a nice one. happened to me recently and I couldn't understand why. arrow spine/weight etc. is already perfect. will try this out the next time on the range
Just stumbled across your content and loving the videos. This may be a really dumb question, but assuming: 1 - you have a consistent anchor point 2 - you are aiming consistently with the the tip of the arrow What is it that you change and "do" in order to change that string alignment? Regardless of if you are able to answer or see this, really helpful videos, thanks from the UK!
Wow Tara another great tip for us your viewers, thanks for sharing your knowledge. I will definetely try this suggestion on my next session. Your other tips have already made a positive diference in my shooting.
2:30 that’s what I did today at the indoor shoot, it worked perfectly and I got more consistent shots. Most of the misses were only due to things like elevation, too high/low, or I had the wrong point of aim, or dragged on release etc. I’m using a longbow without a shelf and a Korean bow too. I can’t remember if the string picture is in the middle for the latter one, but I’ll find out
Presumably, the reason you’re hitting yellow with the string lining up with the inside of the riser, could be that its closer to lining up with the arrow rest. Therefore everything is lined up centrally. My coaching sessions are getting me one step forward and two steps back. My groupings are getting better, and am hitting more yellows than ever before. But keep having some wayward arrows which spoils my ends. I know l need to work on my consistency. The locking down of of my upper body, and standardisation of grip, finger placement, feet and arm/shoulder positioning. But she watches me shoot, and thinks my drawing elbow is too low and moves after release. Her recommendation is to raise my elbow higher than my right shoulder. This has made a modicum of improvement, but l struggle to to achieve standardisation. Have you anything I can try to improve my consistency? Absolutely loving your videos, they’re helping me no end. Thank you x
I'd have to see your form before I can say! If it's one arrow going outside the group - have you checked to see if it's the same arrow each time? Sometimes it's just the arrow :)
Can you please do a video for petite people who have short arms and can't reach the tip of the limb to string up the bow? I'm having this issue currently and always need someone else to loop the string as when I bend to string, my hands don't even reach the end of the limbs 😔 Also, videos about possible archery injuries would also be helpful and how to heal. The tendons on my inner upper arm is sore when I stretch my arm out. Feels kinda swollen and lumpy. Not sure if it's caused by all the string slap from my new bow cos I'm still trying to get used it.
When using a bowstringer do you stand with 1 feet on it or 2 feet?? Use two feet and spread the legs will help. ( standing out center will help to ) . Check Jake kaminskie, he has a tip for shorter people (spread the legs) --> ua-cam.com/video/O4sqrEafmoo/v-deo.html
Thanks, just working on this problem. Wife and I both shooting left and we straightened out our bow arm elbow. Then check arrow alinement and that is helping. The question we have is we fix alinement with elbow of bow arm? And good T shape with the rest of our form?
why does the inside of the riser work better? I would have thought having everything on the straight line with the middle would be better. this is so weird!
This is the video ive been looking for. Took archery lessons but no one ever mentioned this. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Best archery youtube channel with simple explanation and to the point. Short and sweet love the content Tara you need to post more often
Tks for the info. "Soft shooting" has been my bane for long time. It helped a lot.
Glad it helped! Thanks!

I try to shoot some videos right hand and others left hand to help everyone out! LOL Thanks and have fun shooting!
These are fantastic videos. I'm going to try this out tomorrow, thanks!
That target is fantastic. I need to find one of those.
Thats an American Whitetail target mat and a 122cm Maple Leaf target face!
We’ll, Dooh! I’ll try that tomorrow. Thx, Coach Tara 😊you’re the best.

I am just getting back into archery and really enjoy your channel
Welcome back!

🙏 Thanks great information!! Stunning beauty 💋
You can teach me all day
As Jim ploen says line the string upwith the arrow
Can you make a video about plunger settings?
I focus a lot on form - but can start to work on some equipment and tuning! Thanks for the idea!

So great to hear - love being able to give back to the sport that gave so much to me!
Hey Tara. Whats the difference between a "Galaxy Sage" and a "Samick Sage" bow?

Very helpful tip - thank you!
cool I'm split finger release compound shooter so I have an aperture and sights but I want to get into bare bow shooting this is great information.
Your form looked great left handed. Do you actually shoot both left and right handed?
I do shoot both! I am right-hand, left-eye dominant. Started right hand and moved to left. Still shoot both, but really like the left!
Very helpful
Glad it helped

I once found a pin nock causing the erratic arrow flight.

@mlap - yes!
Beautiful view ! Great video ! 🙏🏼

I need to close my left eye to shoot right handed, im unable to shoot left. Does the string allignment work the same when you only use on eye?
Yes, I am cross dominant and only use one eye, as well!
@@ArcheryHouse Thank you, keep up the great content.
Awesome
Would that change for a right-handed shooter? Should I place the string on the left?
How do you shoot with no glove or tab?
The bows I demonstrate with are only 20 lbs…otherwise, with my other bows, I will wear one! 😂
The for your video. But how about the slant the bow? Does it effect the result?
In my opinion, I do feel it affects the shot. When I watch my beginners cant their bow - arrows tend to usually go on the side the bow is canting.
I used to align it with the mid of the riser everytime thinking that is the natural alignment of the string.
why does the inside of the riser work better? I would have thought having everything on the straight line with the middle would be better. this is so weird!
I don't look at the string I look at the target aim small miss small.

You need a coach to look your alignment.
