Great explanation of how it works, I thought it was going to be another joke, like red-light cameras that trigger on you whilst you are still trying to make a left-hand turn.
It is a joke, its illegal and unenforceable.
@@superjesus4307 “Illegal and unenforceable”
If it was illegal why would the MTA decide to do it? Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s illegal
Unenforceable?
Whole video explaining how they enforce it do you happen to have a listening problem of some sort?
@MBTA GET THIS NOW
bodega delivery drivers on suicide watch
5 minutes is enough time for taxis and drop offs. Probably only sitting taxis and delivery trucks/vans will get hit by this, and a couple of people that randomly decide to park in areas they shouldn’t
How about the S79SBS buses why are they always 10 mins apart from each other in rush hour "a lot of people" isn't a good enough excuse
Shorter buses maybe?
Longer route
I drive buses in Canada and we have buses lanes but it's totally useless, cars get in them all the time, there is no repression whatsoever so they have not afraid to do it. Yes you see signs saying you can get a fees but i 12 years as a bus drivers i never saw anyone getting pull over for that.
Good Job MTA
Damn time to buy me a personal bus
Wish Dallas would create bus lanes.
1:55 AAAAHH-
Coming next, tesla will help issue traffic tickets via 360 camera view and lidar speed detection
This is unconstitutional. You don't have the authority to enforce traffic laws.
I think taxis and rideshare vehicles should be given designated drop off areas wherever dedicated bus lanes are. Eliminate personal vehicles from parking along commercial corridors where the bus lanes run... It's looking good on 14th Street now. The obvious? Don't be a moron and block a bus lane. If you have to turn onto a side street, do your job and figure it out. You're on the clock. Most people doing deliveries only double park because it's convenient... you still run the risk of getting ticketed. Some people just don't work smart.
Hasn't San Francisco had this for like six years by now?
We had this more years than you with due respect
Well, maybe not... I saw a video from Stanley Roberts in 2013 talking about these cameras, and I'm not six, more like four times that hahaha
you have to be filmed by two consecutive buses... free parking for about 45 minutes 👿
Fnu Lnu hahahahaha!!
Its about time.
There should be physical separation between bus lane and other lane
What if they needed to merge in or out?
1:52 Yay! Traffic evaporation!
If a banker/corporate type dude ever tells you it's not about the money, it's about the money.
positron underVolt What?
I live in Germany. Why did UA-cam recommend this video to me?
Its a good idea, money speaks louder that most things. Would suck to get $5k worth of tickets in a month.
Take notes Muni.
They shouldn't be given a warning but be given a fine right away. I use to drink buses for 10 years, and it was so inconsiderate that I see a car blocking any sort of bus area like they actually own it.
Finally cause if I see another car on the bus lane going through Woodhaven on the Qm17 I will snap
Yo Don’t Want no Smoke baby 42 stop carrying so much stuff, then you won’t snap
Curbs - simplest answer yet!
This is good, buses will move more faster!!
Eh I'm busing 'ere
do it on m14 sbs
Ok but can the buses stay out of the regular lanes then 🙄
What if the next bus’ only job is to take picture and not carry passenger??? Anything can happen in Nyc
Buses that are not in service have no need to be in the bus lane.
Holy shit I’m gonna get fired cuz idgaf. Ima stay unloading.
Okay this is cool and all but how do y’all feel about criminalizing poverty?
What?
HOIX THE GREAT the MTA has gotten NYPD to brutally beat people who can’t afford to pay fares
It’s all about staying out of the bus lane!
Since when is free public transportation a right?
Nobody gives a shit
Large delivery companies such as UPS have accepted parking tickets as a risk of doing business in NYC and have passed on the cost to the consumer. The same will happen with these bus lane tickets.
Nope
Don’t park in the bus lane and you won’t get a ticket
Not the MTA’s problem since their priority is to the people who actually ride them
Sorry you got a ticket but should of came up with a solution

Make the Q60 a SBS or limited at least.

It’ll happen soon

Yeah. Now make a new bridge out of this dam gridlock logjam. Y'all always got your hands in my pockets.
What are you talking about?
Love it, we need that in Berlin

Ihhh Technologie, weg damit. Vllt in 20 Jahren. Eher nicht. Ich glaub hier im Ruhrgebiet gibt es keine 50km Busspur. Ich wüsste hier in Bochum jetzt nichtmals das wir welche haben. Davon sind wir noch weeeeit entfernt.
Finally, the MTA using technology for something truly useful.
Blake McNamara Don’t worry. CBTC is also useful. Track capacity is upgraded from 24 trains to 32-36 trains per hour.

Why dont we just add Lasers that vaporize anything that comes in front of the bus
