I don't know if it's a thing in Spain as well but in Italy we always say that Spanish people are our cousins or brothers ahah I totally agree and I love seeing the similarities with other countries, especially in the mediterranean area!

Spent 2 weeks in Italy not long ago. What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL way of life. Stayed with friends of ours at their home in Sicily for a few days and got a Sunday family dinner with like 20 people. I'll never forget it!

When you grandpa said "the ones who don't have grandparents got emotional, tell them to come" I teared up, because my grandparents lived with my mother and I when they got sick. My grandma used to say in Moroccan whenever I come from school or work " Ha Lalla Raja jat" which means " Miss Raja has came" and she starts singing in Arabic ❤ Now all I do is pray for them, they were good people but Life was hard on them too. Please make sure to cherish every moment with your loved ones. Tell them they are our grandparents too ❤ Ps: I'll definitely try the fried onions Spaghetti 😁😁

I love your Grandfather's code for wanting sweets. My Grandmother had a similar code. She used to carry candies around in her pocket and sneak them to all of her Grandchildren. She would secretly ruffle the wrappers in her pocket to signal us that she had candies in her pocket while trying not to alert our parents ❤

These videos were so heartwarming for me, they made me feel nostalgic but also grateful for the little momments I got to spend with my grandparents too, a lot of the cooking tecniques and even some ingredients reminded me a lot of my grandma's cooking, the chicken broth specially when you took out the foam after boiling it's something she used to do as well, I will totally try the onion spaghetti and the zucchine alla scapece recipes, all the blessings to you and your grandparents, this was so wholesome and beautiful!!
Oh my gosh your grandparents are adorable! I love them! I love watching videos of people visiting relatives and family in other countries to see how much slower and more relaxed the lifestyle is. The food is made with love and in the simplest way! I'm going to try the zucchini! My mom used to put vinegar on my sunburns when I was little to take the sting out and she had to stop because I love vinegar and tried licking it off all the time! lol
I wasn't even hungry the whole time I watched this video. But, I just wanted to eat that wonderful food your Grandma was cooking. I'm going to try some of those recipes. I'm sure they won't be as good but I'm going to try. We live on the coast of Oregon and my husband can go across the street to get mussels, dig for clams, or surf fish. I really wanted to make a video about that but it was also nothing scripted (tbh I don’t want to force my grandma to remember some things and usually she just tells me stories all the time without me asking so I don’t need to ). I managed to turn on the camera in few moments but never edited/uploaded because I’m a little apprehensive about people possible reaction. Thank you for telling me tho!! @@RosaDaniello well of course I am real about this. I live in Canada I am Italian...its so important and it is a period in history that is I feel important. People need to be reminded how easily our lives can change. To be honest it did! History is a valuable lesson to not take advantage of what we had. And your grandparents story is valuable to me anyway as a hope and reminder of remarkable human strength. As you mentioned it can't rain everyday! We had a reminder of that a while back. I thank if you choose that we would be so privileged to hear history ❤❤❤
2:23 This is such a beautiful moment❤ I used to love to cook with my grandparents and they would put an apron on me even as an adult, to not ruin the clothes with food stains. They ovviously knew I could do it myself, but it was sort out of of care and consideration. Those moments of studying how they did it, and when they showed you how to do it and then the way they encouraged you to do it on your own- that exchange in sich a moment feels like such a loving privilege. I cherish everything they taught me :)
this is so beautiful and I love that it's a collective moment! My grandma used to do this as well and I love reading other people stories. I think the way they also explain things to us comes from so much love that it's impossible to forget. I cut some parts when she was saying it but my grandma would ALWAYS tell me to show on camera some things so "people can see better". My heart melted every time, she is so caring and supportive truly my biggest fan 😭 Grandams united can be a squad!
@@RosaDaniello This is probably why I respond so much better to content like this because it’s such a beautiful reminder of past experiences, and I prefer this way than the usual social media content where people talk ”at you” rather than ”with you”. The inclusion is familiar and so nice. My grandmothers both had summer places with big gardens where they grew their own veggies and it’s worth so much for children to be included and to feel they are capable (, by being asked to get some carrots, potatoes and other veggies from the garden for lunch or dinner). Sorry not sorry, but a more valuable lesson than the american processed white bread, a mountain of cold cuts, heaps of butter sticks, *cheese* with every dish as if it’s an herb adding flavour 😬 and a side of potato chips...I digress! It’s as if they (grandparents) teach or taught us not just for us, but also for generations to come (children you have around you whom ever those children belong to). My grandmothers would iron my clothes when I needed new clothes after playing outside in the fall, who does that anymore? The gentle approach and unconditional love and care💕 We are lucky to have this experience :)

Aloha Rosa! Your grandparents are so wonderful. There are not many good Italian restaurants here in Hawaii. Some are quite expensive because most of the authentic items are shipped in. I have many friends who are American Italians and met quite a few while living in Europe many years ago. I prefer the everyday cooking meals. I truly enjoy your videos. Ciao and grazie! I think my nonna's cooking is very easily adaptable to different parts of the world! I mean besides the mozzarella and prosciutto maybe, a lot of ingredients are not limited to Italy as a region but can be find almost anywhere, hope this gave you some inspiration! You don't need to break the bank to have delicious food 😚

我理解您的意思。我老婆是北京人，我是罗马人，我记得小时候常去姥爷姥姥家住，气氛跟这视频里显示的一模一样。意大利和中国有不少的共同点，其中有两国社会历来都是以农业为主，虽然近几十年以来两国经济发展很快，社会上的进步不少，但是在大多数人民--我的意思是普通的老百姓--的心理上，有些东西没有改变。比如说，亲戚关系网络在第一位；有问题的话，首先尝试在家庭的“圆圈”内找个解决，家庭的闲事不轻易跟家外人讨论；老人、父母和子女的团结精神最重要，加强这种团结精神的工具之一就是在一起做饭、吃饭、庆祝生活上有意义的东西，从节日(你们有春节，我们有圣诞节）到孩子们成功读完书毕业等等。可惜的是，随着社会不断现代化的过程，已脱离了这种真心、温馨的家庭形式的年轻人越来越多，越来越走向北欧、北美的那种模型。Sad……

Spent 2 weeks in Italy not long ago. What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL way of life. Stayed with friends of ours at their home in Sicily for a few days and got a Sunday family dinner with like 20 people. I'll never forget it!

The kind of positivity the world needs ❤ I wish them long and happy life together. When you grandpa said "the ones who don't have grandparents got emotional, tell them to come" I teared up, because my grandparents lived with my mother and I when they got sick. My grandma used to say in Moroccan whenever I come from school or work " Ha Lalla Raja jat" which means " Miss Raja has came" and she starts singing in Arabic ❤
Now all I do is pray for them, they were good people but Life was hard on them too. Please make sure to cherish every moment with your loved ones. Tell them they are our grandparents too ❤

She would secretly ruffle the wrappers in her pocket to signal us that she had candies in her pocket while trying not to alert our parents ❤

These videos were so heartwarming for me, they made me feel nostalgic but also grateful for the little momments I got to spend with my grandparents too, a lot of the cooking tecniques and even some ingredients reminded me a lot of my grandma's cooking, the chicken broth specially when you took out the foam after boiling it's something she used to do as well, I will totally try the onion spaghetti and the zucchine alla scapece recipes, all the blessings to you and your grandparents, this was so wholesome and beautiful!!

OMG ARE YOU FOR REAL because I filmed something with my grandma. I really wanted to make a video about that but it was also nothing scripted (tbh I don’t want to force my grandma to remember some things and usually she just tells me stories all the time without me asking so I don’t need to ). I managed to turn on the camera in few moments but never edited/uploaded because I’m a little apprehensive about people possible reaction. Thank you for telling me tho!! @@RosaDaniello well of course I am real about this. I live in Canada I am Italian...its so important and it is a period in history that is I feel important. People need to be reminded how easily our lives can change. To be honest it did! History is a valuable lesson to not take advantage of what we had. And your grandparents story is valuable to me anyway as a hope and reminder of remarkable human strength. As you mentioned it can't rain everyday! We had a reminder of that a while back. I thank if you choose that we would be so privileged to hear history ❤❤❤

I used to love to cook with my grandparents and they would put an apron on me even as an adult, to not ruin the clothes with food stains. They ovviously knew I could do it myself, but it was sort out of of care and consideration. Those moments of studying how they did it, and when they showed you how to do it and then the way they encouraged you to do it on your own- that exchange in sich a moment feels like such a loving privilege. I cherish everything they taught me :)
this is so beautiful and I love that it's a collective moment! My grandma used to do this as well and I love reading other people stories. I think the way they also explain things to us comes from so much love that it's impossible to forget. I cut some parts when she was saying it but my grandma would ALWAYS tell me to show on camera some things so "people can see better". My heart melted every time, she is so caring and supportive truly my biggest fan 😭 Grandams united can be a squad!
@@RosaDaniello This is probably why I respond so much better to content like this because it’s such a beautiful reminder of past experiences, and I prefer this way than the usual social media content where people talk ”at you” rather than ”with you”. The inclusion is familiar and so nice. My grandmothers both had summer places with big gardens where they grew their own veggies and it’s worth so much for children to be included and to feel they are capable (, by being asked to get some carrots, potatoes and other veggies from the garden for lunch or dinner). Sorry not sorry, but a more valuable lesson than the american processed white bread, a mountain of cold cuts, heaps of butter sticks, *cheese* with every dish as if it’s an herb adding flavour 😬 and a side of potato chips...I digress!
It’s as if they (grandparents) teach or taught us not just for us, but also for generations to come (children you have around you whom ever those children belong to). My grandmothers would iron my clothes when I needed new clothes after playing outside in the fall, who does that anymore? The gentle approach and unconditional love and care💕
We are lucky to have this experience :)

I have many friends who are American Italians and met quite a few while living in Europe many years ago. I prefer the everyday cooking meals. I truly enjoy your videos. Ciao and grazie! I think my nonna's cooking is very easily adaptable to different parts of the world! I mean besides the mozzarella and prosciutto maybe, a lot of ingredients are not limited to Italy as a region but can be find almost anywhere, hope this gave you some inspiration! You don't need to break the bank to have delicious food 😚
