Thank you for this video. I miss white letter tires, but now with the browning on the black wall tires, I had a hard time finding something that would take it off. Now I at least understand why they turn brown. I cannot thank you enough for this video.
I've literally found this out a few days ago and I've been gob smacked on how well this worked on my brand new tires. And I tried EVERYTHING. Wheel cleaners, degreasers, totally awesome and even goo gone. Bleche Wite just emulsified the wax/coating and light brushing just removed everything.
After washing my tires , I liberally spray them with 303 Protectant and let it soak in . Afterwards tires simply look black with a mild shine . This to resist them from drying out and cracking .
@@stevesigler5241 Good , I do the same to engine compartment around every six months ? Definitely keeps plastic / rubber new looking . I'm going to be sending 2 gallons to a friends brother in the Philippines , definitely needed there .
I use Dawn Platinum Dish Soap To clean tires and Wheels works every time and it's safe on Any Surface and when dries i use Tire Gel shines like crazy 😊
doesn't removing the anti-ozone layering actually hurt the rubber cause that's what prevents it from cracking. I know there's a lot of misinformation online maybe if you read this comment can give me a better answer. Some people say to leave that brown stuff alone and only use soft cloth and water on the tires.
The additives are impregnated throughout the rubber so the surface browning isn’t doing the protection of the tire and just looks bad. If you can remove what you have with a soft cloth and water - no need to use stronger chemicals but we think that would be hard to do. We always recommend using the least aggressive methods first!
I use a spray degreaser on the tire at first to remove not only that chemical but any built up tire shines. I then apply a quality semi shiny tire shine ( I don’t want the super shiny for two or three days look. I haven’t found a product 5hat doesn’t brown again after a couple rainy days especially with newer tires but I’ found 2 products that last longe4 than almost all others. Never tried Stoner tire spray as I haven’t seen it in any of the area stores although I use the glass cleaner which is available from Walmart.
Stoners Original More Shine is a great option depending on your location, but here are a few tire shine options we have to over and hopefully you’ll find an option that suits the needs you are looking for! ua-cam.com/video/gansb3gEtQA/v-deo.html
So, after you thoroughly clean the tire and then put on your favorite tire spray/liquid...is more "brown" going to show up again in a couple weeks? I have rather new tires, scrub them down good with a good cleaner/degreaser, but after the tires dries, I still see some brown in places. More cleaner and good ol elbow grease needed?
There’s no way to stop the browning entirely. The chemicals that cause it are part of what keeps the tire from drying out and cracking and over the life of tire more will make contact with the air and turn brown. A good tire coating can help you keep off any browning from road dust and grime and make your cleaning process easier.
Give Original More Shine a try. If you don’t think it performs, we offer money back guarantee! stonercarcare.com/collections/wheel-tire/products/more-shine-original
You’re right, a general wheel cleaner does this as it’ll dissolve tar & iron that embeds into the rubber A good brush & then nice tyre shine will protect it from the air until next wash
This is what you call a first world problem. At the end of the day-WHO CARES??? If they're safe and get you there, that's what really matters. No one, and I mean no one is going to be passing you on the highway wondering how, or why, you spent so much time getting your frickin' tires so clean!! What about your teeth???
My tires still look like shot yellow. I have done the cleaning process properly 20 times or hahah I have gone through 2 cans of tire cleaner and nothing
If your tire is heavily oxidized the tire could be turning yellow because the rubber itself is breaking down. Antiozonant chemicals cause browning as they are exposed to air, but when the rubber itself starts oxidizing it can yellow.

I find that Bleche Wite - although intended for cleaning whitewall tires - does a fantastic job of emulsifying the brown stuff - tires look like new.

I literally just did this and now they're more brown than ever. Help.
I use grease lightening. Rust and dirt scum falls off. I use no tire shine or anything, flat black looks best

The tyre shine is actually a tyre conditioner too.

Tire Dressing! 😂😂 come on man!
You say agitating your tires.Does that mean, piss them off?
Exactly right!
I just yell insults at them and they come out black and clean.
That tire was brown again the next day
Mines ended up more brown as soon as they dried.
Why is anyone cleaning their tyres? They're tyres!
Do wipe after you do dodo.
Most people don't like brown tires
